Well, I started out life, in this little funny shaped thing they call an egg. I guess I was a YOKE. After awhile it got so crowded in there, I made my great escape, and came into the world hungry, and making a racket to get noticed. I had 2 hatch mates. As time went on I started growing into a handsome little guy. At 14 weeks, I found a new home, and life was very good. the first Mom and Dad, loved me very much, and we played a lot. The Dad had 2 heart attacks within a short period, and they felt it was time to move into a smaller place, since the 6 acres was just to much for Dad to take of. The apartment they are moving into does not allow any pets, of any kind, but it is well suited for Dad's needs. They knew they had to find me a good home where I would be truly loved, and well taken care of. They placed an ad in the newspaper, and these folks from Lakeland called and asked all about me. They seemed very interested, after hearing why I needed a new place to reside. They drove from Lakeland to Lake Wales, about an hours drive to visit me. The first thing I did was jump on the old guy, and snuggle by his neck, and the the lady picked me up, and I gave her a little beakie kiss. I guess that's all it took. They had a long talk, to learn all about me, and what my likes and dislikes were, and an hour later, I saw them loading my cage in some strange car. Then they came back in with this little bitty cage, and place me in it. Darn it had a small door, and I just managed to get in. Then it was the long drive back to where I was going to have my forever home. My big cage was unloaded from the car, and set up, while I was stuck in the little cage. They opened the door to that little cage, and I made a dash to get out, and I went straight to my new mom's finger. She held me for about ten minutes, and then the one they call pops took me for a tour of the bird/computer room. I was shocked, to see other birds there. A big green Severe Macaw named Squak, and boy did she ever made a racket, and a cute little Green Quaker, they called SCREECH. He made more noise than Squak. I've just been here a few days, but I know for sure I am going to love living with my new mom and pops. Everything has worked out for what is best for me..

Hi! My name is Tweet

I am a White-Bellied Caique from Lakeland, FL.

Caique A Doodle Doo, the Tweetster

4 years old   M

White-Bellied Caique

Banana chips, Almonds, A few kinds of nut's, apples and anything that Squak and Screech get. And they better share the good stuff with me.

On my playstand, or hanging on mom when she get's close enough. Being a general pain in the tailfeather's whenever I can. that's my job, and I do it well.

Like All Birds, I just hate having to be confined in my cage. It's just not fair.

Of course, what I like most, is that they spoil me, and play with me alot. They are so much fun. And I love them.

I squeak like a little mouse. And my latest trick, is to wolf whistle. I can imitate every electronic device in the house; sometimes the folks don't know if it's the microwave or the Tweetowave that's beeping..
