Waddles here for Jade we was very surprised to see Jade won BOTD. Mom cryed when she seen Jade won. Jade said to tell everyone thank you for the prayers and BOTD. She sorry she can not be at the castle but she trying to get better. There is a party at the castle for everyone Lucy and I will be there on Jades behalf. Also enjoy watching the super bowl on all the big tv's and eat until your stuffed plus there will be your favorite drinks just tell the servants what you want.
Now up date on Jade mom talked to Vet this morn and afternoon still no change jade is still falling to right side but she is trying to stand. Up. Doct thinks she had a seizure and it did some kind of damage. So please pray jade get well. X rays will be done when Jade is stable enough to see what's going on . Thank you for stopping by to congratulate us when we were BOTD on Saturday! We had a great time at the castle chasing the servant birds and throwing all the toys into the water dishes (which is one of our favorite things to do.) They said it may be a long time before they let a parrotlet be BOTD, and NEVER AGAIN will there be two at once!

Part 1 from Zak
THANK YOU EVERYBIRDY FOR BOTD… and Mom says thank you for all the hatch uh… birthday wishes. We woke up the other day to no phone and no internet and now, we still have no phone but the internet is working because Mom is lucky to have a friend who lives behind us and the wires are running from there. It works for her and she is happy. Mom took me back to the vet on Friday but we did not have an appointment. It was a surprise for him since he is leaving the clinic. Mom got him a gift to thank him for all he has done for me and TiPaul and the others. Two of the ladies there knew we were coming in and when we got there one of the others said to Mom that we are not in the computer, and Mom said she knows, but this is the lady who is never wrong and Mom chuckled. Anyhow the vet came out and saw Mom and asked why we were here, because he had not seen our names on file. Mom picked up my carrier and said she would like a few moments with him, so we went into the office. She let me out of my carrier and she gave him his gift while I was up on his shoulder. I gave him a gift too… a bit of a messy one. I pooped down his back. He had to change his lab coat. LOL He looked at my foot and said it is healing wonderfully, and told Mom to continue whatever she is doing with all of us. Part 2 from Zak
Mom went out on Saturday with Dad, to a country line dance Christmas party. Mom said they had a fantastic meal, and Mom danced all night long. She also won a lovely prize. They came home after 2AM, and we had a little upset. Something woke up most of us in the flock and mom had all the lights on and could not figure out what it was. She gave up trying and left two night lights on and went to sleep. The next morning, after giving us breakfast, she was on her way downstairs to get all the paperwork for the bird that came back to her, the one who people were coming to visit that day, and what she saw on the stairs on the way down answered her question about what freaked us out. She nearly jumped a mile… there, trying hard to get downstairs was a little field mouse… obviously a handicapped one. Well, Mom ran to the kitchen and grabbed a big, and I do mean BIG glass, and ran down the stairs, and at this point the mouse was down all the way but not moving as fast as a mouse normally would. Mom got the thing cornered and got the glass on top of it real fast and then grabbed something to put on top of it while she found a thick piece of cardboard to slip under the glass. Only mom could do this, but she carefully carried the glass and mouse upstairs and outside to the park area outside out home, a good distance from the house, and then let it go. Mom came tearing back into the house because she was cold – she did not take the time to put on a coat and it is below freezing outside here. Mom and Dad worked hard on scrubbing all our cages because Sunday is always a big cleaning day. They worked nonstop until the couple came to see the Grey who had come back here about a month ago. They loved him, and he liked them, but mom was sad because he kept looking at her, as if to ask her why they were playing with him, why they were there, and Mom tried hard to explain to him that he will be going with him to a new home, but it is so hard because he had gone once before. It will take him time to understand but mom trusts the couple – they were very nice and they have 2 other smaller birds, and he will be special to them. Mom said she could tell. They came from far to meet and get him. This is all the news for now. Because of the bad lines, we are using the copy and paste method but dividing into 2 blogs. A lot of reading for you. Poppy here with a thank you for the hatchday wishes and the nice surprise of BOTD! Were we ever surprised! Mom had to work on the 29th, but gave me a nice toy on sunday( I will post on my page) that she made for me so she could watch me enjoy it. Let's just say that it doesn't look like that anymore...hehehehehe:) Today she had off too, so I got some treats! Yes, I got some yesterday too, so it was really like 3 days in a row! `Ü´ Greetings and Gratitude, My Featheriend!
When I set out on this adventure to renew old featheriendships and to embark upon new ones in order to create a “Renaissance of Featheriendship” here on the BirdChannel for my frothers and fisters and I, I had no idea I would eggsperience such an avalanche of affection! I must tell you I have rarely felt anything so heartwarming in my birdie lifetime. And though I am loathe to partake of the practice of “Copy & Paste”, I find that I have little choice this evening if I am to acknowledge each and every birdie who came to call over the past two days.
First, as I have said, I am eggsceedingly thankful for your kind gesture of featheriendship, whether it be in support of the approaching attainment of the coveted 10,000th Vote, or simply in response to a note I finally had the opportunity to leave on your page after such a long absence.
Secondly, when I was awakened this morning by a very eggscited momma to the fact that your thoughtfulness had bestowed upon me the distinctive honor of Bird of the Day for October 2, 2011 … well … I nearly fell from my perch!!! And then, of course, it was imperative that I find something appropriate to wear! **Giggle** I do hope that my Reign as Queen was as enjoyable for you as it has been for me.
On that note, I would like to invite you to visit my page to view an ever widening gallery of photographs that Momma is creating, eggspanding on my Renaissance Theme. As of today, there are three pictures in the top row depicting time spent with Momma and Daddy, and my younger Harlequin Macaw fister Riley at the 2011 Kansas City Renaissance Festival. The two townspeople you see in the first picture with me, and in the third picture with me and fister Riley, are a Tavern Keeper and Wench who were serving libations to the Festival goers. (For a fee, of course!) And as you can plainly see, the wench is doing quite well for herself in “tips”. *BLuSH*
Momma will continue to add pictures from time to time so that there is something new for you to enjoy when you visit my page.
I will always appreciate your company and will do my utmost to return each visit on a more personal level in the future. I will also very much appreciate each and every vote you may wish to contribute to reaching my 10,000 Vote Milestone.
