Kirby the GC Conure here, little guy who was BOTD back on Thursday. I couldn't get a typist for the day so I'm late in getting around with a thanks for your note of congrats on my surprise win of the award. I had a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart all day, knowing I was King of the Castle for the day. There's nothin' quite like being the King!
And "YAY" is right about waking up to find oneself BOTD. It's awesome!

`Ü´ Greetings and Gratitude, My Featheriend!
When I set out on this adventure to renew old featheriendships and to embark upon new ones in order to create a “Renaissance of Featheriendship” here on the BirdChannel for my frothers and fisters and I, I had no idea I would eggsperience such an avalanche of affection! I must tell you I have rarely felt anything so heartwarming in my birdie lifetime. And though I am loathe to partake of the practice of “Copy & Paste”, I find that I have little choice this evening if I am to acknowledge each and every birdie who came to call over the past two days.
First, as I have said, I am eggsceedingly thankful for your kind gesture of featheriendship, whether it be in support of the approaching attainment of the coveted 10,000th Vote, or simply in response to a note I finally had the opportunity to leave on your page after such a long absence.
Secondly, when I was awakened this morning by a very eggscited momma to the fact that your thoughtfulness had bestowed upon me the distinctive honor of Bird of the Day for October 2, 2011 … well … I nearly fell from my perch!!! And then, of course, it was imperative that I find something appropriate to wear! **Giggle** I do hope that my Reign as Queen was as enjoyable for you as it has been for me.
On that note, I would like to invite you to visit my page to view an ever widening gallery of photographs that Momma is creating, eggspanding on my Renaissance Theme. As of today, there are three pictures in the top row depicting time spent with Momma and Daddy, and my younger Harlequin Macaw fister Riley at the 2011 Kansas City Renaissance Festival. The two townspeople you see in the first picture with me, and in the third picture with me and fister Riley, are a Tavern Keeper and Wench who were serving libations to the Festival goers. (For a fee, of course!) And as you can plainly see, the wench is doing quite well for herself in “tips”. *BLuSH*
Momma will continue to add pictures from time to time so that there is something new for you to enjoy when you visit my page.
I will always appreciate your company and will do my utmost to return each visit on a more personal level in the future. I will also very much appreciate each and every vote you may wish to contribute to reaching my 10,000 Vote Milestone. But even if I do not have the opportunity to hear from you again for a time, you may be certain that you will continue to be in my thoughts and I shall wish you the best each and every day!
