`Ü´ Greetings and Happy New Year!
Good Afternoon Miss Ypsi,

It would seem that you and I last did any visiting at about the same time! **TeeHee** I hope you will make at least one more visit to my page, if only to find out when we shall be celebrating my 10,000th Vote!

But before that momentous occasion arrives, I have something I'd like to say.

I am here to share with you a gift that would have been appropriate at Christmas. But I did not wish to interrupt flockily Holiday Celebrations with a 10,000th Vote Celebration and I have waited until the start of the New Year for that reason. It is, indeed a gift that was hard to come by and, to be sure, it is actually from Momma and me.

Momma and I know and appreciate that you all are dear and understanding featheriends to have been so supportive of my wish to achieve 10,000 votes when I began making it known a few months ago; and to have been so patient with my start again~stop again effort to achieve that goal. We also know that because of your love and featheriendship that no eggsplanations are necessary or eggspected. But that eggsplanation is critical to the story of how this gift came to be. So, with your indulgence, I shall share it with you now.

Over the past year to 14 months, Momma and we at The K Kritter Korral have eggsperienced a great deal of loss. We have bid three of our furry four-legged members Good-Bye and sent them to wait at the Rainbow Bridge with fister Rosalie. Each of them had been a part of the Korral for15 and 16 years, respectively. Then of course in April all of BirdChanneldom lost our First BazeBol Commissioner, Mr Tim, who was one of Momma’s best friends on the Planet. In June, Momma sent her only brother, and the last member of her core family, to be with Jesus.

Momma did her very best to keep BazeBol alive and well on the BirdChannel as a legacy to Mr Tim. She did all she could to be strong for Uncle Bill’s four children. But she didn’t take the time to say her own goodbyes properly and therein lay the rub for The Fids of The K Kritter Korral and our active participation on the BirdChannel. When the BazeBol Season reached its conclusion, and she would naturally have had time to contemplate the state of her heart, she endeavored to avoid or postpone that task by diving into something that I wanted very badly. The result … I disappointed many of my featheriends.

But I am not here to apologize. I come bearing a gift, as I mentioned earlier.

Come visit me, `Ü´ Ruby Francesca Begonia.

Momma finally decided to take Heavenly Father’s advice and take 30 days, as they did in the very old days in the Bible, to fully grieve her losses, before trying to move on. And one night, during her bedtime conversation with God, he spoke to her.

Momma says she knows it is God talking to her when there is a *PoP* or a *CLunK* or a *FLaSH* and a thought comes into her head that is crystal clear, and full of wisdom, that answers her question or solves her problem; and then she right away feels a sense of peace and calm wash over her like a warm summer rain. This is what God told Momma about every one she had said goodbye to this year …

Momma also heard of a Pastor that told someone who was grieving the loss of her momma, “She’s not only in your past. She’s in your future too.”

My Dear BirdChannel Flockily and Featheriends, THIS is the gift I give to you in appreciation for all your love and support.

Now, shall we get that total up to 10,000 so we can have the first, biggest party of 2012, and Celebrate our Featheriendships?! I would like that very much!

`Ü´ Greetings and Gratitude, My Featheriend!
When I set out on this adventure to renew old featheriendships and to embark upon new ones in order to create a “Renaissance of Featheriendship” here on the BirdChannel for my frothers and fisters and I, I had no idea I would eggsperience such an avalanche of affection! I must tell you I have rarely felt anything so heartwarming in my birdie lifetime. And though I am loathe to partake of the practice of “Copy & Paste”, I find that I have little choice this evening if I am to acknowledge each and every birdie who came to call over the past two days.

I am eggsceedingly thankful for your kind gesture of featheriendship, whether it be in support of the approaching attainment of the coveted 10,000th Vote, or simply in response to a note I finally had the opportunity to leave on your page after such a long absence, or to become better acquainted after just recently having met.

Secondly, when I was awakened Sunday morning by a very eggscited momma to the fact that your thoughtfulness had bestowed upon me the distinctive honor of Bird of the Day for October 2, 2011 … well … I nearly fell from my perch!!! And then, of course, it was imperative that I find something appropriate to wear! **Giggle** I do hope that my Reign as Queen was as enjoyable for you as it has been for me.

On that note, I would like to invite you to visit my page to view an ever widening gallery of photographs that Momma is creating, eggspanding on my Renaissance Theme. As of today, there are six pictures depicting time spent with Momma and Daddy, and my younger Harlequin Macaw fister Riley at the 2011 Kansas City Renaissance Festival. The two townspeople you see in the first picture in the second row with me, and in the third picture with me and fister Riley, are a Tavern Keeper and Wench who were serving libations to the Festival goers. (For a fee, of course!) And as you can plainly see, the wench is doing quite well for herself in “tips”. *BLuSH*

The others are just a small sampling of the many wonderful Renaissance Folk whose acquaintance I was favoured to make when Momma and Daddy, and fister Riley and I attended that event.

Momma will continue to add pictures from time to time so that there is something new for you to enjoy when you visit my page.

I will always appreciate your company and will do my utmost to return each visit on a more personal level in the future. I will also very much appreciate each and every vote you may wish to contribute to reaching my 10,000 Vote Milestone. But even if I do not have the opportunity to hear from you again for a time, you may be certain that you will continue to be in my thoughts and I shall wish you the best each and every day!

In parting, I leave you a rose for your featheriendship … @)-->-->----------------

À la prochaine fois, mon amie [Until next time, My Featheriend] … `Ü´ Ruby
