 A friend was an Aids buddy in Los Angeles in 1985, we went visiting one day with her and this man (named Nyrup who was a follower of the Bagwan Rashneesh)had this baby bird. We thought the bird was so beautiful, yet never thought about having a bird as a pet before. He called us at home a couple of nights later saying he thought we would give his bird a good home. We named our baby Nyrup after his first owner passed away. Nyrup has let us live with him for over 21 years now.. |

Hi Nyrup
Checked out who was on birdchannel from Bainbridge Island today as my Mom grew up there. She graduated from Bainbridge High in 1978. We now live in Yakima. There are 5 of us in our bird flock. B&G Macaw, Yellow Naped Amazon, Moluccan Cockatoo, Goffin Cockatoo & a citron/bare-eyed cockatoo. The last time Mom was on Bainbridge was her class reunion. Since you were named for your first daddy, does your now-daddy consider you a Junior? I have a habit of creating my own [forgive me] 'pet' names for friends. If it's OK, can I call you "Junior"? Or better yet, maybe "JR". (I know how it is with names, though, being particular about people not calling me Rosey. So if you don't like it, I won't.)
