 My daughter went with me to a cockatiel show. I let her go looking for a mate for her male canary at the enclosed bird mart at the same location. I told her to ask questions and don't buy anything without checking with me first. She came back and told me that her pet canary would not stay a pet if we got him a mate, so we decided not to buy a canary. She was looking at the diamond doves, which she has wanted for years, but a price tag of 40 to 60 dollars apiece was way to high in my opinion. At the end of the day, when the show was over and people were packing up the bird mart, Kerin went to the vendor who had the diamond doves to see if they had any toys cheap. She had saved 15 bucks for that at least. He offered her this little female for 10 dollars and the cage she was displayed in for 5, so that is how Pi-dovel came home to be with us.. |
