peanut butter, cooked macaroni or noodles, stuffing, crackers, pizza
 definitely his swing...he enjoys grabbing the cage bars and swinging himself faster when he slows down! also likes to stand at the very tippy top of his cage and look down on all of his subjects! sitting ont he couch with at night watching tv mommy isnt so bad either!
 dont touch my squeaky toy! keep hands out of my cage when i am in it!
 took a chance with me since she was told i had lived 2 other previous homes AND didnt like men (though i am just fine with the men of my new home)
 amos waves hello and goodby! this bird also makes many quirky noises, one funny is when he does a loud yawn sounding just like a man! he does say "hello" and "good night" when its time to cover up! also says come here, go lay down, sit! stay! want one! hhhmmm? makes lots of funny sounds, an alien, a sound like something is blowing up, a little bird, a dog yip, a pig (though i think its prob a burp!!), a horse clopping, chicken, rooster crow, (though i only heard this once!) blows kisses, a resounding "NO!!", just picked up a duck noise from my husband and a crow cawing from the crows outside. amos also has learned a blue jays cry! omg alittle annoying! lol!.

Nice to meet you, Amos!
Wow, what a shocker! Thank you so much for my BOTD & for the congratulations. Was my BOTD planned? When the Royal Guards came to pick me up at my house at midnight on the 23rd, I thought I was in trouble! You can imagine my surprise when they congratulated me on being king. Sheesh!
The weather here keeps getting colder and colder, it's dropping below zero at night and sometimes during the day. It's nice and cozy in the house though, thanks to the wood stove!

funny story about amos from mommy: the other day, after having amos for over a yr and thinking he has exhausted his repertoire, we were playing peek a boo where i would peek out from behind a wall. amos watched me do this for 3 times then cocked his head and said "yabdabadoo"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- !!!!!!!!!! my jaw dropped it was too funny! i guess amos still has some words just waiting for the right time to spring them on me!! lol!Come visit me, vern--good bye, RIP tressa RIP, amos, RIP scarlett,rose,poppy, iris- RIP Chickens, noah, malachi, silas & RIP ike RIP.

It’s me, Lee-Roial. It has taken Mom and me a while to write you back because Mom has had a hard time (again) dealing with the fact another year has gone by and I am not with her. I keep telling her I am, but only in spirit, but that doesn’t go over too well. Mom made a list of every birdy who wished me a Happy Hatchday and congratulated me on BOTD or ABOTD (Angel Bird of The Day) and she had tears in her eyes. She kept counting and came up with 32 blogs, and that is only if you count one bird in a flock. There was no way she could sit down and write 32 blogs that day. She was right back where she started… She was crying again. To make things simple, I want to thank you all so much for remembering me and my hatchday, and for bringing me back to the castle for another day. It was truly a special remembrance. Kaji… Lizzie… a part of that delicious cake came to the castle for those birds who are not at the bridge. It was my hatchday yesterday and Mom realized it later in the day before supper. She had no clue ahe would wake up to an email that I was BOTD because we could not get on BC at all since the afternoon and Mom felt bad because she went out today, and did not even have time to get me a crown until later this evening. It's okay though. She said I can wear it all week if I want to. I am going to do all the voting tonight too since Mom can't type well with just one hand. This morning was a big surprise, seeing my frother has been asking for votes for me, knowing I cannot outvote any other birds and I really want to get up to 5000 before March which is when I got BOTM, and then I have to step back so as not to over vote any other birds because that would not be right of me. Spending the day at the castle today was greyt - I even got to go for a ride on George with Zak, and spend time with my favorite friends Lizzie and Kaji and there are so many I could write a book. I think mom enjoyed a day with two birds less two because she had a rough week of it. Two birds had come back to her that she adopted out in the past two years and she was upset, and now, one is in foster care but the other... she will be looking for a new home once the blood work is back. iN the meantime, Zak has another bandage, and will until the wound is completely closed up. mom is seriously thinking of buying shares at the clinic - it may pay off in the end. LOL Thank you for coming by to congratulate me, and if you can, keep coming by to vote for me... I would really really appreciate it. but - only til the end of February. LOL
One wonders why people drop off birds like you at a rescue, but Mom has a home rescue for parrots so she knows it all... It's tough to learn to trust again, but in time... you can do it! You're the big bird in the home now. cute bird. i also have an african grey. he was adopted by me 3 weeks ago. i got him from a breeder who takes in birds also. she is also a seller of birds from only a couple breeders. he is cute.Come visit me, PINKY AND GEM, SAM & Merlin.
