I am a Cape Parrot from W. Gardiner, ME.

Rose: Rosie

Depends on the weather, but usually inside the house.

The dogs, and occasionally but not often, each other.

She feeds and takes care of us! Laying eggs for her is our rent! LOL
 .
Violet, Daisy and (I think) Rose like to perch on the shelf in their house instead of on the roost. I believe it is (usually) only Hyacinth who is good and perches next to Royal on the roost!.
 .
Differences in Physical Appearances:
VIOLET - The easiest to tell from the others. The base color of her plumage is darker than the others. The others have a pale orange base, while Violet has more of a brownish-orange color. She also has very dark eyes and red comb&waddles.
HYACINTH - Similar to Rose, but in general is more pale than she is. She has a light base color and a pale comb/waddles.
ROSE - Similar to Hyacinth, but has a slightly darker base plumage and deeper red waddles and comb.
DAISY - Has larger "beard" and "muff" (that's the fluffy feathers around her face) than the others. Her color is very much like Hyacinths, but as stated before, she has a more pronounced "beard"..

UPDATE: 12.26.12
Oh my goodness I'm all shaken up now. I was upstairs in my room with my little cousin and all of a sudden my family freaked & called me downstairs, saying that something was wrong with my chickens. I ran outside and one of my chickens was in the chicken yard dead. Royal (the rooster) and the other two hens, Daisy & Hyacinth, are still alive and alright. I shut them into their chicken house so that whatever killed Violet, can't hurt the others.
Don't read this part if you get sicked out easily. I have no idea what killed Violet, but whatever did it, only killed her but didn't eat her. Her head was detached, only hanging on by some skin, her neck was sticking out of her body. She had blood all over her breast. I have absolutely no idea what kind of animal did this. King Pepper's Acceptance Speech!
Feathered friends, well-wishers & loyal voters, I thank you!
I took this long-awaited opportunity to impress upon my staff the necessity of allowing me free access to the peanut bag. Would they dare deny a king?
I also rung in my reign on my special bell, not only because I am the only one who can do it properly but because no one had better touch it or else!
I continued to do so vigorously throughout the day just in case those in my domain should forget the occasion or have the presumption to pay attention to anything else!
While I should have liked to use my exalted position to further my designs upon that other bird's (Poirot) possessions & territory, so far my attempts have a flop (literally) I will have to wait till my wings are able to further my purpose. Next time he'd better watch out...

Hello girls!
..I do think It would be a nice idea to register some poultry on the bird channel. We lost the pictures of them, however, when we got the new computer. Sadly, we lost 3 chickens in the past couple weeks. No signs of blood, feathers, or anything (Most of the chicksn are 5+ years, though--that's old!...Us birds are sad about there passing. The 1 year olds started laying! We need more eggs! I'm a big egg fan, too. I like scrambled eggs. Talk to you soon, my new friends. And oh, by the way, Royal is a very handsome rooster! I bet he and our rooster Eddie could become good friends. Anyway, I really must go. Talk soon..Have a marvelous day!

Heya, Girls!
Wowie! So glad you are back! And that is a wonderful egg!!! You know, Mom found out her boss's mother-in-law has hens, too, and she brings in the eggs for the people at work. Her boss says that one of the hens waits for her to come. She says the hen is black, and she climbs up to the top of the roost and when her boss walks over, she jumps on her (misses, too, cuz her boss is too fast!) and then her boss picks her up and tosses her back into the hen house. She says that hen does it every single time, and she picks at the other hens. Glad to know that none of you gals is like that!!!!
I bet you will all be keeping your Mom in good eggs soon!!!

WE'RE BACK ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Hello there! It has been QUITE a while, hasn't it? Wait, do you even know who we are?? It's HYACINTH, DAISY, VIOLET, ROSE and ROYAL, the chickens!!! We're BACK! Isn't it exciting?
Speaking of exciting news, we have something great to tell you :) We believe it was VIOLET who started egg laying! Early this month. The first egg laid appeared to be laid WHILE the hen was on the roost, so it broke, but who cares?? It's an egg! Our FIRST egg! Mom was so excited. A few days later, a beautiful egg was waiting for her in the corner! Mom ate it that night. Delicious! LOL! A few more days, and there was another egg :) That egg is posted in our gallery for all to see! Hope you like it :)
So how have you been? Has our frother Spirit Cloude (#144812) been entertaining you while we were away? LOL! Hopefully! Well, we're back now, so you don't need to be bored with his miniature adventures anymore ;) We hope to be back up and blogging reguarly now! Here's a vote now.. Have a GREAT day :)
