Sonny was purchased by my sister to appease her child's wanting for a pet, a dog, really. Sonny lived there for 9 years until in 2011 our brother was diagnosed with leukemia and needed a bone marrow transfusion. Sonny's mom deciced to care for our brother in her home and as part of his rehab he could not be around birds because of his compromised immune system. So I offered to take Sonny in for the months that our brother was to be healing in Sonny's home. It's been a year and Sonny hasn't gone home. My sister felt that Sonny is probably happier in the company of this home then in hers so he is now a part of our flock..

Sonny Bunny, Sonny Boy, Bunny Boy 11 years old M Budgerigar Millet in his cage fighting with that pesky bird in the mirror that looks just like me. He's got some attitude! getting his tail They pay attention to me and talk to me all the time. They also enjoy my signing. I have a mirror in my cage that I have to have in there. There's a bird in there that looks just like me and sometimes we get along and sometimes we have heated arguments. I also sleep on this mirror.. Just love me.....

Thanks for flying by & checking on me! Mom thinks I'm doing a little better. She thinks I'm adjusting to my cage plus I even got my attitude back when mom asks me to step up. :-) Yep, I even perch on the cart. Of course I have to trust mom that it's safe since I really can't see where she's perching me. So far mom hasn't mis-guided me. I can't believe P&P won't perch on it. That silly Pico loves to ride around the family room and kitchen. Of course she knows she gets a treat afterwards. You were probably quiet around your real mom because you've grown to love your new parronts and that's who you live with. I wondered if Picky or Peepers would try to get you or not. Remember that's what Pico did when I first moved in. She didn't like me at all. Now I think she's grown accustomed to me being there. Hopefully Picky will think twice before doing it again. I did what you did....went to the middle of the cage. Sorry to hear you're still having yucky weather. It's been pretty nice here ~ Oh yea, mom started working on a video of me before the holidays and was going to complete it at the first of the year. Needless to say, when I started acting different and eventually going to the vet, mom never completed it. Well, she finally did the other day and it should be posting on BC today or tomorrow ~ Mom gets teary eyed watching it because I'm all over the cage playing and all. That's okay...I know mom is taking care of me and loves me a lot ~ Hope you and P&P are having a fun afternoon!

Good morning, Sonny,
Heard it's still really cold up there ~ I'm sure glad we don't have weather like that here. Guess you heard another budgie showed up at our house yesterday. It was really beautiful.....had a long tail. Mom told Dad she wished she could catch it. I heard about your mom's pizza project....hope it goes well! Mom said good for you going after the "personal trainer" profession. Mom has a friend that did what you're doing....after working in an office, she decided to do personal training. She's doing well in that profession now.

I know you and I aren't that loud by ourselves, but I guess four of us could get noisy. Mom has been thinking about maybe getting me a friend, but not so sure yet. She worries about me lonely & being locked up all the time...not that I don't have any toys...I have lots of toys. And mom visits me and talks to me all the time. In fact I'm in the family room 24-7 ~

Mom wants to know what the master piece your mom worked on for 5.5 hours ~ You know mom....she's curiuos. :-)

Isn't this something.....the three P's are having to take a back seat to us Budgies! :-) I LOVE your new pictures! You are so good lookiing! Now that your mom took some new pictures of you, tell her to pick out one of the good ones and post it as your profile picture. That way every one can see how good looking you are and not have the cage bars to see through. Mom said she doesn't think she's ever see a budgie with blue & and yellow head. Nice colors! Did your former parronts come down or did they get their power back on? ...you poor dear, you have been adopted int a madhouse, albeit a loving one, LOL! So glad to hear aunt Maria's brother is doing well after the battle with cancer, we hope he gets the problems associated with that sort of ting taken care of soon, wasn't he your daddy at one time? I just love Pickles and Peeps, and of course your mom and dad! At our home, Arthur is the only one who attacks the vacuum cleaner, we too have fancy carpet sweepers and the like, but dad bought a big new shop vac for our room, he says we are so messy that it is necessary!! Have a great day Sonny C my dear friend, and give my love to aunt Maria, and P & P and all in your home! Time seems relentless and just keeps rolling on, but faster and faster it seems! We enjoy each day as it arrives, and ring as much out of them as we can get, we don't want to look back and say, we wish we would have done this or that, life is precious, but oh so short! If ya feel like dancing, just dance, sing like nobody was listening, and play like somebody left the gate open...

Sounds like you have 9 lives like a cat, haha..I'm glad to hear Mommy's brother is doing better, I hope your gma's are also, I know they were sick a while back..Your in the right home to be in the middle of lot's of fun and excitement, the vacuum doesn't bother me, it's just noisy, but I sure won't chase after it..I hang on the side of my cage and slap my foot up and down to express my disapproval..Mom just purchased two air purifiers from HSN to take care of some of the bird dust, I'm not very dusty but boy Romeo, Rusty, and those Tiels sure are, and the Tiel's cage is right beside me..Have a fun day Sonny, keep an eye on Picks & Peepers, and don't pick up any of their bad habits..Love ya, CoCoPuff

...when we got home from visiting aunt Denise and the McFlock, your box full of wonderful things had arrived at our home! Thank you so much for the dozens of bells, chains, pear clips, and wooden toy parts, and when we add our Toy Shoppe magic to them, they will make many little parrots, from all around the country very happy! We are very thrilled for so many money saving things to share with all our BC bird friends! Regarding sending us some of your favorite treats, like the specialty peanut butter pretzels, the blueberry pretzels, and yogurt raisins, how very sweet of you, we will all be getting some right after breakfast, but the thing that trilled dad as much as the chains and bells, was the aunt Maria home made, zucchini/carrot/raisin loaf with oats, and sunflower seed, my dad better share, or I shall bite him! What we are trying to say, is thank you all for the over the top kindness and for being so sweet to us, you guys are a gift we found through CoCoPuff and Pico, and what a treasure you all are! Don't be to surprised if some of those chains and bells find their way back to your Randolfph New Jersey home! Thanks again my dear sweet friends we shall not soon forget your kindness and generosity, and good luck aunt Maria in your new management position, we just know you will shine, see ya later friends...
