Hi! My name is Benito

I am a Military Macaw from puerto vallarta, AA.

my friends call him "Benny"
My neighbors call him "guaca", or "guacamaya"

16 years old   M

Military Macaw

Benny will beg for oatmeal cookies

He sits in the window when I´m on the computer, and offers his comments.

although Benny´s cage is gigantic, he would rather be in the house with me

My dad loves me like a son. I don´t have a large vocabulary, but I know my dad´s name for sure! I changed his life.

when I say his name in a high voice, he flips his wings once.
he giggles like a baby when I cuddle him.

Last October 18, "Benito" experienced a hormonal rage for the first time and pushed all of her toys into the corner and became very vicious. She would not leave her cage until Dec. 20.

  Hi Benny
Little Angel here. I'm my other page today with my flock. As I explained I have two pages. This is my personal page i use to blog others from. You'll have to read through all those names below to find me, but I will be watching for you.
How eggciting to have wild Macaws living close by. Maybe they'll start to come to your new house, once you move next year. That'd be so cool.
I made business of the day today. BOTD. WOW, I just started that story writing page. I sure was surprised.
Stop by anytime. hugs
love Little Angel

  Sorry it took so long
I haven't been online for a while, but to answer your question: personally I'd probably never forgive my mum if she brought home another fid. I am her ONLY baby right now, and I want it to stay that way. Take care!

Come visit me, Fido.

  Hi from lucky
Thanks for stopping by again.Heres a vote for you to.It depends how the baby will be handled. If you spend the same amount of time with Benito you do now there should be no change in him.As long as you don't have them together all the time and spend time with them by yourself you should have no problems.Males can bond together if around each other to much and are in the same cage.I think you'll be okay with the both of them. But like you said if you would have problems you can always find a new home for him.Anything is better than the guy who has him now.The testing can be done by yourself.Check out this have the stuff you'll need to do the tests with. It's not has hard as you might think.Let me know how it works out talk to you later.

Come visit me, Gunner, Savannah, Lucky...RIP & Stormy.

Hi Benito; It's Angel. Thanks for making me feel included. WHat an amazing Daddy you have. It's so sad to hear how many birds are still being robbed from their nests for money. Yet it's also sad that many families are desperate to feed their families too. And I agree if the demand is not there, then the birds would not be taken. I think we all can do something to help. We need more people like that to really help the birds out there, for sure. ANGEL xxooo

  Hi Benito
Welcom To the you!! You sure are one handsome guy !
Sounds like you have it good now. i had it bad to for a while but the mom I have now loves me sooo much. Just like your dad! Dont worry about the baby sounds like your dad has plenty of love and you might like it!!
It does need to go to a vet and get a check up before you meet it so you dont get sick. My chaco had to be in the other room for a few days before I could meet him.
I could hear him and mom told me about him.Now he is my friend. Mom is careful not to let me get to close cause I am a lot bigger than him. I am a Blue Front Amason. Stop by and see me !! Heres a vote for you. Pete

Come visit me, Padro, Peter In Loveing Memory, Princess Arwen, Tinkerbell Neel, Chaco In loveing memory & Chewy.

WOW!HELLO Everyone in Mexico! COOL! I didn't even notice where that town was from. And you guys have amazons too.Neat. Are you going to have their web page on here too? YUP I Am a spoiled amazon too. And yes them eggs can spell trouble if too many hahahahha. :) I am not sure how it would work out to have another bird, that is pretty much a personnal decision, try it out and see how it works. So the amazons that are outside, are they wild parrots ? I bet in Mexico there is alot of wild parrots. Thanks so much for visiting me. My mommy does not know spanish but it looks alot like french. Je parles en francais et je suis contente de vous connaitre :) ZAZOO and gave you a vote.

  Hi from Lucky
Mommy has got new birds and I never had a problem with them.but it was never another macaw. You do know that having two species of the same kind will be more noisey they will yell to each other. If you have them to close together they can even bond to each other.even if they are the same sex they can bond But being the same sex also they might not bond .Depends on the bird and how it's handled. If you are ready to handle the noise when the baby gets older and they start to talk to each other It souldn't be a problem having two of you.The only other thing is to watch out for birdy diseases.Keep them seperate till you take the baby to vet to get tested for any diseases. After the tests come out okay then you can take the baby out of quarantine and then you can have them around each other to get used to each other. But not to close since you don't want the baby getting hurt.I'm a breeder so I just want to stress the fact that you can never me to careful when it comes to diseases. They can spread quickly from one bird to another.Lucky.Ps.Heres a vote for you to.

Come visit me, Gunner, Savannah, Lucky...RIP & Stormy.

  Hi from ChiChi
I can't believe someone kept you in a box like that, and gave you up for beer money! That's horrible, but in the end I guess it was best for you, because now you have an obviously loving home, and a wonderful dad. That's what matters most. Take care!

Come visit me, Fido.
