Raffimis so happy that Angel
Has come to visit him! His mom has been so busy with company over, and more coming this Thursday. Raffi and Angel walk wing in wing by the lake. Ok...says Raffi to Angel....follow me!
They go back to Raffi's house and come to his upstairs porch. They quietly go on the patio and Raffi shows Angel a birds nest that was built in the artificial palm tree. There are five blue speckled eggs in it! Just then the momma bird flies in and says hi to Raffi and Angel! Wow...says. Angel, this is so neat!
Raffi tells Angel that he's sorry he missed the game today. Right now that time of day is very hard for my mom to be blogging. But, says Raffi, if I can get to a game I sure will let you know sweetie!

I thought I'd fly by to remind the team about our 1st game of the season tomorrow against those mighty Quaker Little Dragons! Don't be fooled by their cuteness & size! They're called 'dragons' for good reasons besides their breath! They're tough as nails & lightening fast! BUT we've been training & working hard for this day! Hey Angel! Thanks For The Greyt Job You're Doing..
...on 2nd base! It looks like you've got you signals & base throwing down pat! Just wanted to let you know your hard work has already been noticed & noted! I thought we'd slip another practice in tomorrow. That's Friday, May 3rd.
I'm going to also be having a BBQ Sunday for all the teams. It will be a nice way to be ALL friends before we buckle down & get all serious in playing baseball. The whirlpool will also be opened for use for anybirdy and also, it might just be a lot of fun to play a game of ball that's just "play". There's swings out there, too, near the BBQ area. Hopefully, it will help remind ourselves this is for "fun" and that we're all friends with each other.
The Scruffy Birds will be there, of course, because that's where they all live!! So, there will be music & dancin' if any birds want to do that instead of a game of baseball! Hahaha!

Hey sweet Angel!
Well today we didn't see the goose family...or the injured bird. Too sad to think about it. We were sad all day yesterday.
Raffi and Angel sit on the blanket snuggled together and feed the cute bunny family that has come to share their lunch. Raffi and Angel smile at them and pray silently that they will be safe. Raffi and Angel realize how lucky they are that they are not wild birds and have good loving homes. Raffi picks a pretty wild flower and gives it to Angel.

Hey sweet Angel!
Raffi is so happy Angel has come to visit him. His company is gone, but more is coming next week. Mom had computer problems yesterday and was in the phone with tech support for 41/2 hours!
They jump into Angels car and go for a picnic. Raffi finds their favorite spot by the lake and sets out their blanket. Something is bothering Raffi. He tells Angel that there is some sad news. The he saw the geese family yesterday minus one parronts. Then he saw a goose swimming alone in the middle of the lake with a severely broken wing. Sigh. He figures that was one of the parronts. He wishes he could have helped that poor bird. The two friends snuggle quietly, grateful that they have each other. Hopefully the goose family will come by so they can feed them and ask what happened.
Raffi pours some punch for the two of them while Angel opens the peanut butter sandwiches. They suddenly notice a very cute bunny family watching them. They ask the bunny parronts if they would like to have something to eat. The bunny family hops over happily as Raffi and Angel break up some sandwiches into little pieces for them. Raffi smiles at Angel and gives her a gentle kiss on the beak.

WOW!!!! You are the prettiest baseball player that Raffi has ever seen! (blushing!)
Raffi and Angel are having a wonderful day sitting on a blanket by the lake watching the baby geese! So cute. Mom in front...dad in the back! The one gosling is just so funny...swimming everywhere. Daddy goose has to keep him in line. Raffi and Angel watching that cute little stinker!
They begin to color pictures of the babies. Soon they decide to have their picnic. Cautiously the Goose family swims over to them. Raffi and Angel gently throw some bread crumbs over to them they swim closer...and daddy goose checks out the food and decides it ok for his family to eat! They all swim over and start eating....mom and dad honking. Raffi and Angel snuggle closer watching them! What a perfect day!

Nice throw Angel
*Saber smacks the ball into his catcher's mitt a couple of times then drills it back to Angel who swipes it out of it's trajectory, grabs it from her mitt and zings it back to Saber who then throws it to Caden at 3rd base.

Hello MIss Angel! You & Raffi Look Like You're
....having some fun flying those kites! They're really pretty up there whooshing back and forth like that!
I'm just coming by to let you know, I've been trying to post the Practice Schedule for next week but the crazy BC won't let me put it in the "How we met" section. So, it is "PRACTICE", I thought it was fitting for it to be put under "quirky habits" section. If you go to the Team Page, you'll see it to the right. It's only every other day and I'm giving the weekends off since many birds & parronts do their cleaning and errands on those weekend days. Under each day you will find what we're suppose to practice for the day. All you have to do is go to the Team Page and practice like we're at Kevlar Field. ONLY for practice do we do that. You don't have to be there with all the other team mates at the same time. For some birds that is impossible, so just a little bit or two about practice and you're good to go.

Raffi is so happy that Angel
Has come to visit him! She is his lady.....and he is so happy to be with her. They have a wonderful time walking along the lake and Raffi invites Angel to stay for dinner....which she happily accepts! Raffi says...Angel sweetie......would you like to go with me to the Milonga tomorrow night? I would love to take you! Angel blushes and says...I WOULD LOVE TO GO WITH YOU!!!!!!' The two giggle at Angels very enthusiastic reply! The two waddle to Raffi's house when they see a Canadian goose on the lawn who has gotten lost from his flock and is very sad. Oh..says Rafffi.... Come and stay with us tonight. I know a lot of the geese on the lake, and tomorrow we will go and talk to them and help you find your flock. Really?...says the goose wiping his tears. Of course says Raffi and Angel, as the each put a wing around their new friend and all three of them waddle up to Raffi's house where momma Erin is cooking a delicious dinner for them!
So sweetie...I will pick you up tomorrow and we will fly to the Milonga tomorrow! Raffi blushes with happiness!

Oh, No, Angel. Mom's Memory Must Be Wrong Then...
.....What base? They're all opened. I've been trying to put birds where they asked having the confidence to know where their strengths are! I've been waiting for Mom to find my little note book filled with baseball notes of who, what, & where info & she's lost it! Arrrgghh!!! What can you expect when the help is only paid in kisses. Sheesh!
Anyway, I will wait for your decision. This is going to work out if I just have patience with her. MOM! Have you tried some ginger? It's suppose to help with old timers' memory! And they worry with what WE eat! Gracious!

Angel! This Is Coach SamIAm And I'm Certain You
....gave me the position you would like to play on the team but for the life of Mom she can't FIND it!!! I want to say it was Centerfield but the notes are gone!!! I have to admit to you, Angel, it could have been me since I got hold of some of her old notes and had a grand time shredding things into tiny bits of paper. Sam blushes.
Anyway, would you mind letting me know if you are the bird who'd like to play centerfield most of all? I have been working on the positions & was hoping to have them posted by next week.

Good Evening, Angel!
Hi, all you Silver Sluggers! Hope your days are growing warmer & sunnier where you live. I'm afraid my area hasn't made up its mind what it wants to do! We'll take what we get, I guess!
I have some homework to ask of you. I will be needing 15 numbers for you to select. You may pick any from numbers 1 through 12. You may also use any number more than once and not all numbers have to be used. It will be up to you! They don't have to be numerically in order either! So, I know this may be perplexing for any of you that have never played before but don't worry. "There is a method for the madness," as Sparky Anderson would say! He's this famous coach of baseball. Anyway, your numbers are needed before we will be able to play ANY baseball at all! So, think of your favorite numbers & get them back to me as quick as you can! We'll be one step closer to playin' some Birdie Bazeball!
