 So I went to this one place called The Bird Loft in Amherst Ohio which is like a twenty minute drive from Cleveland where I live. This was only a couple days ago. I went there because I was still sad about Sonny, and my Mom felt bad and took me there to get a yellow bird like her. The Bird Loft is owned by two nice ladies who are bird breeders. It was a small building but had lots of birds in it. I told the lady I was looking for a yellow parakeet and she said they were currently hand-feeding the budgies and I could look. I found one that was yellow and we bought it. I didn't get to take it home yet because it still needed to be raised. So in three to four weeks, I went back to the bird Loft got to take home ‘Sonny 2’. So after we bought Sonny (or Sonny 2 if I’m being specific) we were heading out. But then I saw this really cool grey cockatiel. It was the only baby cockatiel (old enough to take home) that stepped up on my finger without hesitation and cuddled up to me right away. My Mom hesitated, but then I told her that Chessie could use a friend and maybe she would stop being so annoying to be let out of her cage. So she went along with it.. |

Hi awesome bird
I also have a cockatiel for a month so far he is the same type as yours if I'm not mistaken and i was wondering how long did it take yours for him to get used to your hands, also if you know any tricks that will be worth teaching i would appreciate it. VotedCome visit me, Olive.
