 Amazing story: I lost my first beautiful bird in a house fire and was mourning his loss when I went to a pet store to hold a bird. I couldn't find one that wanted to be friends and was commenting that I didn't believe I would ever find another like Winston. The lady standing across from me said she had to find a home for her bird due to working issues. We chatted and she gave me her number. That afternoon I went to her home to see her bird and we instantly bonded. While we were talking we both found out that neither of us had intended to be at the pet store and both had at the last minute decided to go there. When I entered the house they lived in Bandit flew to me and let me do whatever I wanted with him as if he had known me forever. He is one of my greatest blessings.
The strangest thing happened and I don't know how but my mother's nickname for me was Chickee. Nobody in my house calls me that but somehow he started calling for Chickee which is what he now associates with me.. |
