 Walked into a pet shop looking to buy a lizzard, found a Meyer's parrot instead, inquired about buying him, was told about another parrot in the back room, and was mortified when I found a very naked, awful looking Blue-Crowned Conure. It was quite clear that he had not been groomed, bathed, or had his cage cleaned in the 6 months he was there. His diet was mostly sunflower seeds, and he was EATING the mite trap attached to his cage! He came home with me and is doing much better! I traced his leg band ID and found out that he had been a class pet at a high school before being dumped at the pet store. Probably where he learned to talk and beat box.. |
