 My owner passed away last year and my friends and I had to find new homes. The bird club people came and got us all and now I am living it up at my new home. My cage used to be outside and it was dark most of the time. All I got to eat was sunflower seeds and apples sometimes. Now I get all kinds of delicious goodies and toys to play with. I also get lots of time outside of my cage.
Update 6/9/12
The doctor called momma back today with my blood work results. My liver and kidneys are ok but my pancreas is not doing so well. He said I have chronic diabetes which was probably due to all that I have been through with my previous owner/s. I will have to make regular trips to the doctor and have medicine every day from now on. He is going to have some special medicine made for me to make me feel better and hopefully I will stop having tremors. I sure hope this works.
After his long medical battle we lost little Merlin on July 10, 2012. At the rainbow bridge he will wait for us and doesn't have to suffer anymore. We love you baby and will miss you so much.

Little Buddie, I'm so sad t'night having learned that you're no longer with your family... or me. All sorts of things are whirling through my head and my heart - a heavy feeling 'cause I was so hopin' you were gonna be okay now that there were meds helpin' out with your diabetes, a relieved sort of feeling 'cause you had love and lots of it lately, and sadness 'cause you were such a cool guy and I liked you lots. Gosh, we thought he was getting better as we were all praying hard for him. We were both in the same boat as I still have the bacteria and hafta take shots. :(
I've been on and off of meds since I came to my forever home a year and a half ago.

I am so sorry you had to leave your flock behind. I know how hard it is, but life here at the Bridge is wonderful. There is no more pain, or sickness, or loneliness, or sadness ever. Time passes by quickly, and before you know it, you will be reunited with your mama again and never ever be apart. It's hard for our loved ones because they miss us so badly, but eventually they are able to remember us without the sharp pain and once again enjoy all the joyful memories.
