A new Capt !!! I leave for three days and the Pearl gets a new Capt. (Dad was out for 2 days pushen white stuff.)
I will get the shuttle off the flight deck right away. I will set the recall program so it will return to the landing pad on top of the Thirsty Parrot bar & grill.

Thanks for the pirate certificate from Flash & Jen
We shall treasure these little paper certificates forever! The "bad storm" was not nearly as bad as the hype leading up to it, but we survived it so far none the less! It is in Chicago and Northern Indiana now and moving East! I hope Indy Sam is alright! They said we only got between 5 to 7 inches with at least 2 more coming, it is snowing as we weak! There is something clean and pretty about all the white uncluttered snow, but you probably won't hear Chyna saying that! I gotta go and help my daddy ward off cabin fever, give my love to all in your happy home, see ya tomorrow...

Punkin and Ike go over to Maxie
and lift their glasses high and downs their drinks. Thank you so much Maxie for having us on the mission and we are always ready to go with you.
Then after getting full glasses they all turn once again to the new Captain of The Pirate Pearl as well as Captain Ceasaur and drink to them.
Punkin and Maxie look down on the deck where Ike just fell. Hmm, I think he musta had some of Sam's punch. Well, better take him where he won't get hurt.
Maxie laughs and says, "here let me take him. You musta had some too, eh?" She takes the two small birds and puts Ike on a treasure bag then goes back to drinking with Jenny and Popeye. Punkin finds Ipo and they go up to Ceasaur and Sugar. "We want to thank you for your faith in us little birds and we have enjoyed the pleasure of serving under you. We will of course, enjoy Captain Sam as much. Before we go Ipo wishes to tell you something."
"I would like it if you would please take my share of the treasure and use it for the birds who need help. We have more n our share among the flock. Oh, and could you get Ike his certificate? The rest of us got ours but he didn't. brushes away some dampness from the corner of her eye after listening to Captain Ceasaur's resignation speech. Maxie then shakes his wing and thanks him for the honor of serving with him these last couple of years. sShe then turns and salutes Sam, the new Captain of the Pearl, offering her services on next year's voyage if he so chooses to have her in his crew.

Sam is speechless! He is very thankful to Captain
Ceasaur who has taught him everything a 'Captain' is suppose to be. He wipes a tear away & offers a wing shake to Captain Ceasaur! Sam smiles but with a bitter taste in his beak. He will miss his dear captain & hopes he is able to fill his extra large boots!
Let us know how you are from time to time, Captain! We'll love hearing the rescue missions you go on!! Sam hugs Miss Sugar's neck and waves good bye to the gracious couple.

The soft side of Officer Jenny allows tears...
...to stream down her face, as she listens to Capt Ceasaur's heartfelt farewell address! Her sweet Alfie gives her his red farmers bandana to dry her tears with! He shake the Captain's wing and Jenny gives him a gentle kiss! The Zonezian couple then turns to Capt Sam and express their feelings to be the first to sign onto next years crew, and that includes all the Dallas pirates...
...Regarding the Pirate certificates, Art and LaLo already have theirs, but Jenny and Flash will need theirs, and Alfie McZon will be needing one also, thank you Capt Ceasaur and aunt Teresa...

Captain Ceasaur has an important annoucement
to make to the officers and crew of the Pirate Pearl and ask them all to assemble on the top deck of the Pearl but before he makes his announcement he wants to thank the good crew and officers for making the voyage of the Pearl this year so much fun. I can not thank you all enough for making the Pirate Pearl such a great ship and for always being able to find treasure. You have made the Pirate Pearl well known and respected. He then beckons to Sam to come join him and once Sam is beside him he extends his wing and shakes Sam's wing turning to face the assembly on deck he says"It is with great pleasure that I now announce that First Mate Sam will be the new Captain of the Pirate Pearl for next years voyage.I ask you all to give him all the support that you have shown so kindly to me as your captain these past three years. The Pirate Pearl is a great ship and Captain Sam will make her an even greater ship because without him and the good crew of the Pearl there would be no adventure and finding of treasure.He knows how to run the ship and how to create a wonderful adventure which is very hard work for any bird to accomplish! Captain Ceasaur hears a hip hip hooray from the officers and crew. Gizmo yells you have the support of myself and the radar room crew and in like suite Arthur Alex,Lalo,Flash, and Jenny Lynn offer there support along with Good Quatermaster Tooth and the rest of the crew and officers of the Pearl join them in a big hip hip hooray!. Captain Ceasaur turns to Sam and says I know you will be the best Captain the Pearl has ever had.I feel Miss Sugar and I are called to a higher mission of taking our money we made from our share of the treasure and spending it on sailing around the world and helping abused and captured wild parrots of the world because we both can not think of a better way of doing something good for all the birds we can help and support.Captain Ceasaur thanks Sophie for being such a wonderful Ship's Chronicolor telling about the dailey goings on of the Pearl because it is a very hard job. He also thanks her fister Punkin and her flock for always lending a wing. Thank you all new comers Ranebeau,Kelly,Casey,Cappy,Lalo,Kacey, and Mikey and all the other newcomers who have added to the voyage of the Pearl this year and for making the adventure so much fun and for working so hard. Sophie finishes the Chronicle and

The Chronicles of The Pirate Pearl
Day 15--After heading to the galley, I stop and wonder if I really want to eat breakfast remembering that parsley pancakes were on the menu. I see several birds come out and say that they never thought they'd get them down but the syrup helped even though it was green too. My eyes get big but now I HAVE to see for myself. Checking around I don't see many parsley pancakes. All I find is delicious sweet potato pancakes...with green syrup. It's good though.
After that breakfast I go topside and find everybird cleaning at their stations. Zippy, Kiwi and Oatie are all covered with powder from cleaning the cannons, All the sails are repaired, the deck is being cleaned by many extra hands today since the party is tonight. The Captain and Miss Sugar are overlooking the ship and both wear wide grins. First Mate Sam got back and has been cleaning his cabin all day. We ALL knew when he entered his cabin. Probably he was heard clear back to the island.
All of us crew SALUTE our Captain Ceasaur, First Mate SamIam and Quartermaster Tooth for an exciting journey. And the CREW of the Pirate Pearl for a wonderful experience. So many more were able to join this year and that made it all the better.

Punkin goes up on deck
wearing a gown she made just for this night. She feels awkward since she normally stays in her pirate gear but thought since she found the diamond and pearl necklace she better dress up a bit. Ike sees his fister and nudges Kiwi. Wow never seen her look like THAT afore!! Ike goes and offers his fister his arm and they head over to the table for food and then Ike says, "Watch out for that punch or you'll be sorry. I watched Sam make it" "Well, if Sam made it I'm sure it's good but powerful!!" they laugh as they fill their plates.
Kiwi and Oatie, who is wearing a deep blue gown that Punkin made her, join their fibs and enjoy their food and the rest of the crew as they stop and visit. Ipo abruptly awakens and finds she spent
the night in an awkward position. Stretching the kinks out she grabs the light and after cleaning up heads in for breakfast. *Hmmm, thought we were in for parsley pancakes....oh there are some hidden behind that seat cover* she takes said object and manages to get it tossed out before Marigold sees her then grabs some very good looking pancakes. She sees one fresh parsley pancake and hooks it just to see what it tastes like. She manages to find Shadow and asks to sit with him. "I really do thank you for lettin me use yer light. It was really a lifesaver. Sorry I didn't get it back sooner but after helpin with the sails I kinda went to sleep." she blushes. "That's alright, Ipo. Glad I got it back before gettin to port." After finishing breakfast Ipo gives Shadow a big hug and kiss. "It's been wonderful to serve with ye." She takes both hers and his dishes away and he looks at her smiling.
After cleaning cabins and readying everything for leaving, she goes up to the treasure and is happy to see that everybird has a token and proud she was able to help find it. She looks through and sees a ruby and emerald necklace and thinks that mom should have it and then finds a pearl necklace. She takes the necklace and thinks it's just the thing to remember The Pirate Pearl. Sadly she thinks of things that Sidney would have liked but puts that aside for now. It's time to celebrate the Captain, First Mate Sam, Mr. Tooth and the whole crew of the Pearl.
She sees the punch bowl and smells the punch. MMMMMMM smells good so she takes a glass and after one sip she shakes her head. POwerFUL! Scoober is done cleaning up
his cabin so he goes over to the treasure chest to pick something out for his mom and for his girl Chyna...he starts looking through the chest for the illusive pink diamond...as he is digging through something pink catches his eye...it is a pink diamond ring...he is so happy and he knows that Chyna will love it...he finds a pretty diamond ring for his mom...
Scoober goes topside and sees RaneBeau...nice sailing with you...

....made! You sweet fister about sewed her feather tips right down to her ummmm...Sam thinks for a minute what is was going to say because he's already forgotten it!! Here's to The Pearl!
Her CAPTAIN and her CREW," RaneBeau says as he raises a mug of something to the sky. He does it with such enthusiasm, half the liquid sloshes out and splashes into the sea below.
It's been a most adventurous excursion, one I'll not soon forget. Unless I drink too much of whatever's in this mug *R looks down into the depths of his cup, still trying to figure out just what's in there and then figuring it has to be good, pours it down the hatch. ...as he takes her by her wingtip feathers he begins them circling the deck & then they laugh as they dance around & around & come back to the food. He claps for his partner as the music abruptly ends & they laugh!
