Chirps has passed one broken egg, but it looks like she has more eggs to pass. This is dangerous for her because of her prolapsed cloaca. She has now passed 7 broken eggs, but is beginning to heal! She is very weak and underwieght, but is beginning to eat well! She looks much better! Please keep praying for her total recovery! Spotlight on Caring -Taz part 7
Sky here with our last blogs with the Proctor flock. I must say I have dearly enjoyed learning all about this well known B.C. flock. SKY; Please continue, Mom Gail; SUZIQ was the next member of the flock. She came from the same bird store as Scooby. We used to visit there fairly often and buy food there as well. Suzi was a sweet bird and used to live with the owner's wife but then after nine months she decided that she did want to sell her so Burt bought her for me to try and ease the pain of losing Xena, I was not ready for a grey and didn’t know if I ever would be. Suzi still is a beautiful and sweet girl who loves her me and only me. Suzi does like to lay eggs a lot. I have had her checked out to make sure her calcium levels were okay and they were, I also make sure that she gets enough calcium in her diet. Ekkies are also very sensitive with regards to their diets. They don't do well with a lot of additives in their food or with pellets; they need a nice fresh food diet. They also have a tendency to toe tapping and wing flapping usually due to an excess of additives in their diet or stress can also be the cause. Suzi did start to toe tap and wing flap years ago and I had to play detective to try and figure out what was causing this as she was not on any pellets or other type of bird food and there didn't seem to be any cause for stress either. After a lot of research I decided my only recourse was to do an elimination diet for her. I took away all food except peas to start with until she quit and if she didn't start up again after a few days I added another vegetable which was carrots...all well there but when I added corn well Suzi started up again, mom took it away and after three days she quit again. The only food to cause an issue was corn so no more corn for her ever. If she gets a little bit of corn cause she gets the wrong bowl the toe tapping and wing flapping come right back. No corn and all is well.
CHLOE is next to join, I was still missing having a grey around the house so Burt looked through the papers and found Chloe in a neighboring state. I talked to Chloe's mom through e-mails and we met them to pick her up and take her home. Chloe has been and is a joy to have around; she decided that she liked her dad best even though she was a Mother's Day present for mom. She is a good talker and has lots of sounds, some that she makes up. She loves to sing.
SIMON came to join us the following year. I always wanted a B&G macaw and so back to the papers for Burt. He spotted Simon in a neighboring state as well. We took the drive to see him. Spotlight on Caring Taz part 7b
As soon as Simon saw us he let out a really loud and friendly Hi, and as soon as we walked in we knew he was coming home with us no matter what. He has been a challenge for sure and I got bitten quite a few times in the beginning. He does not like men at all, in the 12 years he has been here that has not changed. He is a momma's boy and he has anger issues but I have figured him out pretty good now so I rarely get bitten unless I cause it by not paying attention. He is a very sweet bird in his own right. He loves being held and loved; I call him my cockatoo in a blue suit. My heart melts when he looks up at me and says "I love you", just like a guy. CHICA flew into our lives when her previous owner decided that he couldn't care for her anymore so he gave her to me. When Chica first came to live her she didn't like to be touched very much. She used to eat absolutely everything in sight until her bowl was empty. She gained quite a few grams now she is starting to enjoy being preened and held. It has taken time and patience so it is so nice to see her enjoying herself. She has learned a lot of new words from Simon and she has the most infectious laugh that it is impossible not to laugh with her.
PEARL was a beautiful little cockatiel. Burt saw her in a pet store, he really needs to stay away from those places, and brought her home. This was shortly after Tweety passed away. She was a sweetie and was sitting on Burt’s shoulder a few days after getting here and laid two eggs, she never laid anymore after that. She was with us for a few years and then got sick, we tried hard to save her but eventually she just couldn't stay with us anymore. It seemed as if she had turned the corner and was doing better but the next morning she was gone. She is buried in our back yard in the flowers. Miss you little girl. NAPOLEON joined us next. In case you didn't guess by now, I love greys. A lady in the bird club wanted to find a home for him and while at the meeting Napoleon and I were bonding so Burt talked to the lady and Napoleon was mine. They brought him over with his cage that evening. Napoleon is a wonderful companion and a wonderful bird. Napoleon is a sweet and loving bird who loves to give me kisses. He is constantly learning new words but won’t talk in front of Burt, when Burt leaves the room he starts talking or if he is with mom he talks…of course he doesn't like Burt or men for that matter. I am now complete...I have my grey...

PLZ VOTE 4 DJ LUIGI #225307 FOR BOTM
Hi Ms. Chirps,
The BOTM pics are either done by the birds (or their parronts), or if they can't and don't have somebirdy to do it for them I offer the services of the Royal Archivist. She was very busy with Birdy Baseball pics the first half of this month, and that is why she couldn't get to Jetta's pic any sooner. It is all done now though.
Mom is feeling lots better today, so I got my typist back. Not only did she do the ice pack thing on her shoulder a couple of times last night, but she had a session with a trainer at the gym today on working it out safely, and that helped too. So now she can type, which is what is important, right?
Oh, and Mom went to get her mammogram first thing this morning and an ultrasound too. She talked to the Radiologist about the ultrasound, and he said it looked good. She will have to wait a few days to find out the results on the mammo, but she's very optimistic since the ultrasound is the final word.
AND BIG NEWS. My mom has been trying to get me to say Mama for a couple of years, and the other night I did it! Of course, I haven't seen fit to repeat it, and can you blame me? I add a new word (a special one!) to my Hello and C'mon, and what does she want? She is now trying to get me to say Hello Mama! The nerve!

Hi sweet Chirps
Mom & I want to thank u & ur sweet momma for ur kind words & condolences. Mom's heart is still heavy with pain & grief, but she's doing better. Chloe will be greatly missed, she was a special & loving girl! Mom still can't believe it! The night before, she ran around chasing Sadie the wiener dog, playing as they always did! That morning, mom took her out at 8 am to go potty & she seemed fine...2 hours later, she was gone.
Not to worry tho, being the fun-loving clown that I am, I keep mom laughing, & give her lots & lots of kisses! I constantly tell mom LOVE YOU! & Sadie the wiener dog is like Velcro...I swear she's somehow attached to mom with some kind of invisible cord! Even the 3 kitty cats are constantly jumping up on her lap & snuggling with her! The 5 of us critters are giving her constant attention & lots of love so she's not too sad! Sweet dreams sweetie!

DAY 20 ~ THANKS FOR THE VOTE!
DANIA’S VACATION TO LEBANON part 1
Last year, in February 2012, my parents were discussing about my dad’s sister and his mom going to Lebanon to pay their sister insurance. My dad paid 1000$ every month to his sisters because his oldest sister had two grown children and their parents were divorced. In addition, the other sister who lived with them worked as a teacher and tried paying for the family. When I heard about it, I soon said I wanted to go to Lebanon too, to see my aunts, my cousin and family. My parents thought about it then, they decided that it would be my birthday present to go to Lebanon. I was glad but unfortunately I had to wait until end of March. I was usually impatient so I tried getting it out of my mind for a while. Then it was finally the day where me, my grandma and my aunt were heading to Lebanon. We sat at the airport where my dad worked, and went to a restaurant to have breakfast. Then it was time to say our goodbyes, I was leaving for two weeks and I was already crying, missing my parents. It was the first time I was gone that long from my parents and first time I was going on vacation during the school days. Furthermore, we boarded the plane and took off to head to Lebanon, Beirut. How is everything going?? I hope you are enjoying the day and having lots of fun!!
I am trying to grab the remote, the mouse, mom's cord for her mp3 player and anything else I can get my beak on!! Yep! It's a great day!hehehehehe
It's making it hard on mom to blog for me but I know she can rise to the challenge! She keeps putting me back on her knee and I say "hello Sugar!"
Not much else going on today. It's just fine with me since I'm having a really fun time climbing all over the puter and all over mom!
I see that Jetta has a picture up now. I'm not sure if someone does them or not. When I was BOTM I did my own picture. I think maybe everybrid is expected to do their own picture but I know that Jetta's mom and dad are not quiet sure how to do them. I wonder if someone did it for them!!

DAY 19 ~ THANKS FOR THE VOTE!
DANIA’S LIFE part 11
I discovered birdchannel from a friend at my school. I registered in September 2011 after I got Angel and Luigi. The only friend on birdchannel that I talked to was SKY. Everyday there would be new activities on birdchannel he would tell me. But I really didn’t know how to go to a milonga or the kissing booth. So that’s how I didn’t know how to meet other birdies. I met Sky when he first came on BC with the broken wings broken promises page. Angel’s page was changed to birdie zone and Luigi became DJ LUIGI. To be honest, Luigi leans more to singing with me and listening to sounds than learning other tricks. Luigi started making more birdie friends when Luigi started running for 500 votes to participate for bird of the month. Hi Chirps
How are u sweetie? I didn't do my blogging yesterday, mom & I were involved in a bizarre, freak accident early yesterday afternoon! I was unscathed, but mom wasn't as lucky...she's fine now, but very sore!
When mom is holding me, I like her to kiss my belly! She kissed me on my birdie nose, then I told her KISS BAAALLY! At the same time she raised me up, I lifted my left leg, & somehow, my front 2 toes slipped into mom's right nostril & GOT STUCK! Of course I'm past due for a nail trim & my nails are extra long & very sharp! I was struggling to get my toes free & mom was howling in pain! Thinking it was a game, I quit struggling & started squealing! Mom gently grabbed my foot & turned her head & my toes came out!
My poor mom was gushing blood! She grabbed paper towels to try to control the bleeding, got me to step up onto her cane, squirted my foot, put me in my cage, & took off for the emergency room! To make matters worse, they couldn't help laughing when mom told them how the injury occurred! That was a story that they NEVER heard before! Mom spent 3 hrs at the emergency room & had to have her nostril cauterized! Mom is fine, but her nose is very sore! I don't think that I'll be getting belly kisses anytime soon!

Just a little, NO, a lot disappointed that this being the 20th. of the month, and JETTA still don't have his OFFICIAL BOTM photo to post on his page. I have NEVER seen this happen to anyone else, ever before, and it hurt's that he gave it his best effort, and can't understand the LONG delay. I realize there might be more important thing going on for some people, but it really made him feel terrible.
Oh well, it's no big thing, and like a lot we have not commented on, we'll get over it.

Oh, Ms Chirps! Thank you for makeing me sausage on a stick with a pancake rolled around it. I give the sticks to the young Sun Conures to chew on.
How about a Twinky on a stick dipped in pancake batter and deap fried? Another new booth on the boardwalk needs to be built to supply these new items to all the birds.

Thank you for your visit back on Friday when I was Queen of the BC for awhile. Yes, it's wonderful having a new place to call home. While I sometimes wonder how my first family is doing, I'm greatly relieved that I lucked into finding another family that was willing to let me become a part of the group. It's been a nice fit and I think now they can hardly imagine the flock without me. At least I hope so!
Thank you too for the basket of walnuts. How perfectly sweet of you! I just love these things and smile everytime I crack one open and hear some family member saying "Whoa, if she can do that to a nutshell, imagine what she could do to a finger!" For as big as my beak is, believe it or not, I'm a very dainty eater, careful not to waste a crumb of a walnut. That would be a dreadful shame!

Hi Chirps
How are u sweetie? Nothing much happened here today, except mom stayed home all day! We had a beautiful day of 78! I spent a lot of time outside today, but didn't get to drive my car, coz I don't really like to be out in the direct sun! Mom swears that I can smell when rain is coming, coz when it got real cloudy & looked like it would rain, I started freaking out & wouldn't let her take me off the porch! I ran up her arm & scrambled onto her back & told her NOOOOO, I hold on to mom's shirt, pant, & gently flap my wings, while on her back...mom calls it my rain dance I wouldn't get off her back & onto her hand until she went back inside! Mom calls Mom told me it was not raining, but I wasn't taking her word about it! I DO NOT like OUTSIDE shower baths!

I'm so sorry to hear about that spider bite that your Momma got!! Sounds nasty! I sure hope she'll be doing better soon. Ick!
There's no baseball game today, so how about we just go to the stadium you can help me practice? No teams are using the field today as far as I know, so it's free! We can have an afternoon picnic, and then head over to the KB, and ride rides and play games and do all the things you have planned! This is going to be such a great day. I can't wait!

DAY 17 ~ THANKS FOR THE VOTE!
DANIA'S LIFE part 9
After leaving Montreal to go home, I started researching on the Internet about lovebirds. When I was done, I decided to buy a lovebird. My dad told me I could buy one from kijiji. So the type of lovebird I chose was fischers lovebird. I looked all over kijiji but none of them lived closer to my area. So I decided to pick another type of lovebirds. The next one I chose was the peach-faced lovebird then I did research. I went one kijiji and found a bird breeder who was breeding lovebirds and budgies. She had 2 lovebirds that we're coupled, the green one was 5 months and the yellow one was 4 months. I somehow got dad to get me two birds instead of one. So we contacted the lady and went to her house. It was long trip to me to get to neapean. When we got there, the house had noisy chirping birds. The lady was handfeeding a lovebird! It was so cute and adorable. She showed me around then she showed me the two lovebirds. I brought the cage with me to the two birds inside. The lady asked "What are you going to name your new birds?" Since the green one was a boy and he reminded me of super Mario, I named him Luigi. The yellow one who was a girl, I named her Angel, because she was yellow with white flight and rump feathers so it reminded me of the sun. Hi Chirps
How are u sweetie? Mom must REALLY be guilt-ridden! She's still falling all over herself to take care of my every desire! She held me & played with me until she had to leave for her Drs appt, then got me out of my cage as soon as she returned! Tho, mom was very weepy when she got back. The vet's office had called her, her precious Chloe's ashes were back, mom stopped there to pick her up. Chloe's urn is a beautiful decorator jar. Now mom has her precious Chloe back home forever!
I knew exactly how I would cheer my mom up! First, I gave her some big beakie kisses, told her LOVE U, then proceeded to tell her all about my game! MOM, WE WON OUR 1ST GAME! IT WAS REALLY CLOSE THO! THE GREYS PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT, & THEY ARE GOOD FRIENDS, SO AS HAPPY AS I WAS FOR US, I WAS SAD FOR THEM! Mom smiled & gave me a cuddle & some kisses, & said she was very proud of me! Not for winning, but for being a good sport & thinking of my friends' feelings!
The school across the street was having their annual carnival, so mom took me over so I could gawk at all the kids & say HI! I was a regular birdie ambassador! I was on my best behavior! I kept saying HI, did my tricks, let a bunch of kids pet me & gave out a couple kisses to a couple brave souls, but mostly to mom! Mom bought a couple pieces of pizza, so I lost interest in the crowd of people & focused on the food! Mom stuck me on her shoulder so she could carry our pizza, coz mom needs her cane to walk! I was sooooo focused on the food that I was begging on the way back to our house! I'm not sure about u little guys, but when we macaws beg, we drop our heads, flatten our bodies & "gently" flap our wings! The entire walk back, I kept saying MMMMMM in her ear, & each flap I bopped her on the same ear! When we got back into our house, she couldn't hear out of her left ear for a little while! Hehehe, but I had a great time! YES, it's another great day to be me! & yes, the pizza was delicious!

Hello Chirps~
I hope you are having a wonderful day. I've got the gardeners here to watch. They are outside my window mowing the lawns! Pretty soon Mandy will be woofing to go out just because she likes to smell the fresh cut grass! Mom takes her for a walk everyday and Mandy has decided she likes to walk down to the Starbucks. Do you suppose it's the scones they sell? I always share my scones with her so maybe she figured she just go down there and get us some! I like the way she thinks!!
Mom already went to the market before I even got up! The store is open 24 hours a day. It's less crowded early in the mornings but mom has to put up with freight on the floor and the floor scrubber being used. Since she works nights at a store, she is use to that stuff.
She got me some pecans so I'm looking forward to my snack! I'll be having apples and pecans today! Yum!
I'll be supervising the chores later on and letting mom know how she should do stuff! We all know our parronts would be lost without us!!

A green jeep pulls into the driveway
.. and soon Chirps hears her doorbell chiming.
"I hope you don't mind that I'm a bit early!" Says S.C., "I was thinking that we could go watch the teams practice before the real game."
Chirps says "No problem! I just need to finish packing the cooler." She walks into the kitchen and places four water bottles, two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and a bundle of bananas into the cooler. Already inside is a baker's dozen of boston cream donuts to share with friends!
Once Chirps finds her Kevlar Keets baseball cap and places it on her head, she says, "all set!" and she heads out the door with Spirit behind her pulling the cooler.Come visit me, Spirit Cloude, 2nd Base for the 'Keets.

Hi Miss Chirps,
here i am again at long last! Mum just posted new pics.
She made a cute new doggie, a blue headed pionus, a hyacinth macaw, a golden conure, even an octopus & an Indian ring neck. She's also made a new female ekkie & believe it or not, a pink pig with some piglets & a baby seal, but no pictures of them yet.
Our nice warm weather has finally come to an end. It is down right cold now, with a very stiff breeze blowing, but the water is still surprisingly warm (she just had a swim) but she says when you come out, you better hurry into the hot shower. Hope you'll have a nice w/e.

DAY 16 ~ THANKS FOR THE VOTE!
DANIA’S LIFE part 8
Before I ever got Luigi and Angel as my pets, I used to beg every single day for a pet. Ever since I was 4, I would wine and cry for a pet. The answer I got was a no, as always. Growing up, whenever I found out one of my classmates has a pet, I would go to my parents and use it as an excuse to get a pet. Then when I was around 13, I got very jealous when I found out my uncle got a hamster for his son and daughter and my neighbor friend got a canary. Well that made my beg and cry like crazy. So after begging for 9 years, my mom got fed up of me never giving up on this topic. So she discussed with dad and she asked me, what pet do you want? Well my options were short; I wasn’t allowed to get a dog, for obvious reasons in my religion. A cat will make my parents sneeze. A reptile was out of the question, and then I remembered how I loved playing with my grandma’s budgie. I decided I wanted to get a bird. Ok, the type of pet was decided, now the type of species was the argument. I told my parents I wanted a how bird that can talk and I could cuddle with. I asked to get a big bird, then no was the answer. First of all, theres no room in my house, second, I can’t put the bird outside since it’s freezing in Canada. So my parents told me you can get a big bird in Lebanon where it’s nice and warm. Ok, so the bird was going to be smaller, but I didn’t care because I wanted a pet really badly because I wanted to hold it and play with it. So when we went to montreal one time, there was a pet store in one of the big shopping malls. I went to see it and there was a whole bunch of small and medium birds. I saw canaries up high up on the cages. And fischers lovebird, cockatiels, it was a wonderland. At first I wanted the cockatiels, but mom thought they were noisy since they were screaming when I approached them. Then I saw the doves and I thought they were lovebirds. I told my mom I wanted the doves, she said no because they are harder to take care of. My mom pointed to the real lovebirds, they were so small, but then I thought about it. Hi Chirps
How are u sweetie? Actually, it wasn't too bad being stuck in my cage, still covered & in the dark til 2:30 yesterday. Before bedtime Tuesday night, mom hung in my cage, the last one of Uncle Chuck's world-famous toys! The one that had my name spelled out...TIAMARIA! Mom is going to post a pic of what's left of my toy in my gallery! I worked it over good! So at least I had something fun to do during my unscheduled confinement period! Thanks again sweet Uncle Chuck, my toys were awesome & I thoroughly enjoyed them!
I am thoroughly enjoying mom's guilt trip! She can't do enough for me today! She's waiting on me beak & foot...even more than usual & doing & playing everything that I want to do! She even said I was having sketties & mandarin oranges for dinner! The few hours of solitary confinement was definitely worth it...considering the VIP treatment I'm receiving today! Plus, SHE hasn't left MY side all day! It was an EXCELLENT day to be me! Can't wait til the NEXT time mom screws up! Hehehe!
We've been having lovely weather here...84 yesterday, 80 today, mid 70s-80 for the next week! 40% chance of thunder BOOMS Wednesday, & 50% Thursday!

What a relief t'read that you're definitely feeling better. I heard that mineral oil was nasty tasting stuff but if it helps with any egg issues, I'm glad you've got some there t'take. DAY 15 ~ THANKS FOR THE VOTE!
DANIA’S LIFE part 7
When I was young, I used to visit my grandma every Friday. I would love visiting her and seeing my uncles. Usually during my visits, I used to play on the playstation 2 with my brother and my youngest uncle. In addition, I always played with my grandma’s budgie, it was american parakeet and it was blue. Since the bird didn’t have name, the only name I called it was the bird or birdie. I played with birdie every time we visited. Birdie wasn’t tame so I had many incidences were I would take out the birdie and it would start flying every where. Everyone laughed, and my dad usually had to catch the bird. But I found that birdie liked to play on my shoulder, so I had birdie on there. I used to think birdie was a boy, but it was actually a girl. My grandma liked it when I fooled around trying to get to play with birdie. She was happy that I was getting to know birdie. She loved the sound that birdie made everyday. Then my uncle to decided to place the cage on higher grounds since I always took birdie out and she would fly every where. Unfortunately, when I was 9, I came to visit my grandma and the cage wasn’t there, I asked “Where’s the bird?”. She told me, she saw birdie lie on the bottom of the cage, her time was up. My grandma was sad of her loss, it was hard for her. She missed the beautiful chirps in the morning, she really loved that bird. Birdie lived for more than 12 years. She was old and it surprised me about how active she was when I took her out. I was saddened too that birdie was gone. I missed her, and I was happy she had a family before she died. Attention Attention
I have a French summative to do that is due May 27. It is worth 30 % of my mark. I have to write a discour for my summative. I have chosen a topic to talk about. I will be talking about a specific parrot that im not sure which one I will do. The one I have in my mind right now is the hyacinth macaw. By the way I will be on birdchannel way often to study about the parrot. The reason why this message is brought to all of each and wonderful birds is that Im asking for you birdies for a bird to recommend on talking about. And after ive chosen a parrot to talk about, I will be asking bird owners on birdchannel who know information and/or experience with the parrot. Ill also get my research else where. My mother heard lots of info that I said about parrots and she was surprised and told me to talk about parrots instead since it is my passion. Thank you all everyone and continue on reading luigi's campaign.

Hello, my love!
I'm very proud of how our team played yesterday! We did a fantastic job.
Last night's dinner was wonderful. We'll have to visit the Pasta Palace more often from now on!
I'm very sorry that I missed the Milonga last Saturday. I was fully intending to go, but once again - it slipped Mother and I's minds. It was the Derby Milonga, too! I really hate that I forgot about it.
I'll most likely be at the Stadium every day from now on, watching the games on the weekdays and practicing on the weekends. Would you like to come with me? You're on my way to the stadium, so I can just swing by your house and bring you along!
Thank you for supporting us yesterday! You being in the stands inspired me to play harder and hit that home run! You're the best!

DAY 14 ~ THANKS FOR THE VOTE!
DANIA’S LIFE part 6
When I was around 4, my dad was able to install a long distance plan on our home phone. It made my parents and my grandma happy that they were able to communicate with their families in Lebanon. Most times my dad would talk to his sisters on the phone and then hands the phone to me to say hi to them. My aunts loved me very much and always want to treat me. Since dad was able to communicate with them by phone, he was able to get them to visit us in the summer. So his sisters and nieces came to Canada and me and my brother had to share a room and sleeping with our mattresses on the ground, that time we didn’t have real beds. My cousins would sleep in the other room. During the night, me and my brother would get up from our bed and go to our cousin’s room. My cousins were always sleeping and everytime we came in, the youngest out of the two sisters would start crying and my parents would come and put us back into our room. We got to go out to mooney’s bay with my cousins and aunts and we would go for a walk in the park. My oldest cousins usually liked to play with my brother and my other cousin who was almost my age would love playing with me. We took photos and had a great time. Later on, they had to go back to Lebanon which was sad for us because I was going to miss my cousins.
