My husband and I had been wanting a pet bird. One day we went to a local pet store just to look and talk to the birds and they had a pair of lovies up for adoption because the previous owners had separated and couldn't take proper care of them anymore so we decided to take them home and give them some much needed love and attention..

Active within 304 Days Hi! My name is Sunrise I am a Lovebird from Lincoln, NE. I call her Baby, Lovie, and Mama. 3 years old F Lovebird My favorite treats are nutriberries and millet spray. I love the play gym and splashing around in my bird bath. I don't like to go back in my cage when playtime is over. If it was up to me I would never get back in. And I don't like Mom's Audubon singing wall clock. I scream when the birds sing the hour. I think those birds are trapped in that clock! I love my Mom because she will sing and dance with me. I love to sit on her arm and hand. She is so much fun to play with and makes me awesome toys to chew up. She has taught me and Sunset so much like how to whistle "pretty bird". She is now teaching us how to whistle "I love you". I love to shred paper and put in my clean water. I love to sing and dance to music when the radio is playing.. A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song. ~Chinese Proverb.
