Hello Caden 3rd Base Bird Of The Silver Sluggers!
Today our team went up against those Mighty Macaws. I knew we had our work cut out for us but I planned to face them with everything we've got! Well, it wasn't enough & we lost to a better team. Now, one bird doesn't win a game & neither does one bird lose a game. I'm gonna call A.M. practices for the next 3 days and again next Monday the 17th. This will be above & beyond
what we need to do. But I want to win!! I think you do, too! I'd be mighty proud to work our way to winning with this good team by my side. I'll look forward to seeing you at the practice field at our team page at 10am. Thank you all for sticking with me & with this ball club. The Silver Sluggers will emerge a better team regardless of us winning OR losing!

Sunday Night & The Rain Has Come BACK!!

Alright Team, The Baseball Commish Has Been In...
....touch and they have fixed the mix up in the last game we had with the CrackerJack Conures. Nobirdy is switching teams. It was just a typo and we all know how our Moms have done the same thing themselves. This didn't mess up the scoring, all that stays the same. There just ain't gonna be any trading of players.

Hey there, Silver Sluggers! Tomorrow we have a game of Cracker Jacks at the Conure
Stadium!! Wait. That's NOT right! Tomorrow, we have a baseball game against those

Hey Caden, Thanks For The Excellent Job You're....
...doing at baseball practice! I want to practice a little more with you on our throws to each other! That's one long stretch & I want to make sure we get it to one another should those plays spring up. Which they will, so Just wanted to let you know your hard work has already been noticed & noted and I thought we'd slip another practice in tomorrow. That's Friday, May 3rd.

I'm going to also be having a BBQ Sunday for all the teams. It will be a nice way to be ALL friends before we buckle down & get all serious in playing baseball. The whirlpool will also be opened for use for anybirdy and also, it might just be a lot of fun to play a game of ball that's just "play". There's swings out there, too, near the BBQ area. Hopefully, it will help remind ourselves this is for "fun" and that we're all friends with each other.

The Scruffy Birds will be there, of course, because that's where they all live!! So, there will be music & dancin' if any birds want to do that instead of a game of baseball! Hahaha!

I think everyday should be just like a hatchday but mom tells me that if we did that my hatchday would no longer seem special! Hey Caden! What Are You Looking For Under There?
...Is it some treasure? I like doing that too! Looking for treasure! It's fun figuring out the maps and then following all the clues. Yep. One of my very favorite things to do!

I'm just coming by to let you know, I've been trying to post the Practice Schedule for next week but the crazy BC won't let me put it in the "How we met" section. So, it is "PRACTICE", I thought it was fitting for it to be put under "quirky habits" section. If you go to the Team Page, you'll see it to the right. It's only every other day and I'm giving the weekends off since many birds & parronts do their cleaning and errands on those weekend days. Under each day you will find what we're suppose to practice for the day. All you have to do is go to the Team Page and practice like we're at Kevlar Field. ONLY for practice do we do that. You don't have to be there with all the other team mates at the same time. For some birds that is impossible, so just blog a little bit or two about practice and you're good to go.

46. A natural and effective bathroom cleaner can be created using baking soda and Murphy Oil Soap, a biodegradable, phosphate-free vegetable oil soap invented in 1905. Sprinkle some baking soda on porcelain bathroom fixtures and rub with a wet rag. Add a little Murphy Oil Soap to the rag and continue rubbing. Rinse well. For the toilet, apply baking soda inside the bowl and follow with a bit of Murphy Oil Soap. Scrub with a toilet brush. Wear an old pair of socks over your hands like mittens while you scrub with the soap. This two-handed method will have your furniture, mantels, tabletops, cabinets, blinds, and ceiling fans dusted in half the time.

47. A room or house containing a fireplace that has been unused for a long stretch of time will sometimes start to have a sooty odor from drafts circulating through the house. The Old Farmer’s Almanack for 1914 suggests this method for freshening up the air: Crumple old newspapers, put them in the fireplace, and sprinkle ground coffee on top of the newspapers. Light a fire and allow it to burn. The coffee scent will clear the sooty odor and you won’t be breathing in the neurotoxins commonly found in air fresheners!

48. When you prepare corn on the cob, pasta, potatoes, or other vegetables, don’t pour the hot water down the drain. Instead, remove the food with tongs or a slotted spoon. When the water has cooled dump it directly onto a thirsty plant, or save it in a large container to take out to your garden later.

49. It’s important to keep all of the plants in your garden labeled in order to properly keep track of them, but commercial plastic labels will never decompose. Instead, use objects you are already planning on recycling such as an aluminum pie tin cut into strips. Engrave the plant names into the soft aluminum using a large nail or ballpoint pen. Or try cutting white detergent or bleach bottles into strips, using a permanent marker to write the plant names.

50. This year, don’t toss out all your lovely holiday cards with the tree. Do like the Victorians and make old cards into gifts: gather inexpensive picture frames at discount stores and yard sales during the year and use them to frame your own card collages. You can also make tree ornaments for next Christmas using your cards: collect bits of fringe, trim, and ribbon from left-over wrapping to use as borders, then punch a hole through the top of each card and pull a ribbon through it to hang. Another way to extend the enjoyment of your cards is by using them to make gift tags. Cut around a desired swatch, such as a bell or wreath, or cut your own shape from a patterned or colored background. Additional shapes can be made using cookie cutters as guides. Use a hole punch to attach a ribbon to toe the tags to your packages.

That's the neatest thing, that there's going to be a party in your honor! Not many, if any, can say they've had a BBQ planned just for them. You are so right when you said somebody was looking out for you when your Mom came into your life. I'm sure you don't want to even imagine how different life could be had your paths not crossed at that exact moment. I shutter to think about where I'd be if my dad hadn't picked up the paper with my picture in it.

I know all about that having to be a good sport when it comes to baseball and flockmates on other teams. Kelly's on the same team as Monty Mae. Lucky for me she's not trying to sneak up behind me and grab my tail. I might have to practice boxing instead of baseball.

How about that! Our brand spankin' new team page has gone and won the BOTD Trophy. Talk about a good start to the season. Can't help but hope this trends continues.

What brave things have you ventured into doing here lately? I myself have taken up scouting. The norm has long been that I'm just happy sitting on top of my cage in the bird room but about two weeks ago I decided it was high time to get off my duff and check out how the rest of the birds were living here. So far Kelly and Alfie's cages have been evaluated. Seems they like tons of toys hanging in their apartments. It's rather like a cave inside each of their cages. What I've also decided I like doing is venturing into the boxes they have on top and adding some of my own beak work to the walls. Yes, I have my own boxes inside my cage, but comet this time of year, cabin fevers demands some new and different sights to break up the boredom of waiting for warmer weather. I'm sure you've been enjoying that perk for weeks now, if not months. Lucky, lucky you!

Hey Caden! Well, With That Question, I'm Wonderin
...if I may have made a major mistake? Was this suppose to be secret numbers? I didn't know that!! Well, if you want to, that is completely AOK by me! Mom's email is rocnrobn37@gmail.com. Hey Caden!
I know you're probably wondering about some info about the baseball coming up. Please bear with me as I finish up the Pirate Pearl Adventure!! There has been a lot of activity this year (it last for 2 wks & this is day 9) Seeing your WONDERFUL avatar you certainly would make a greyt pirate! Maybe next year you may consider going with us! It just takes understanding the Pirate Code (many young ones do not) and following orders. All you'd have to do is tell Captain Ceasaur you'd like to be one of his crew! He'd find you a duty to perform or if you have a specialty (fighting skills, sailing, etc) he put you with a job related to that talent. Then my Mom does the rest! You just have to interject time and again a reaction you're having to either the action at hand, or eating in the Galley, etc. Complaining to First Mate Sam seems to be the tall order of the day but that's okay, I got this!! As it is too late for joining in this year, come join next year for sure! (page #227001 to check it out)

Mom has 13 ball players so far & has asked Grendel twice now if they want to be on the team & there's been no answer. After we come back to port, at the BC's Castle page(furnished by the TPB&G) Mom is going to post the roster as it now stands and shake the bushes for another grey bird and maybe some cheerleaders!! When she posts the roster, be looking for a blog that will be asking you for those 15 numbers! Now, I don't really understand the numbers bit and exactly what numbers that are from what to what, Mom has requested that information & is sure it will get to her in plenty of time. She has been told the baseball season will be shorter this year. The starting of it will be in April.

Thanks for agreeing to play Birdy Bazbol this coming season! I am very glad that we are going to be playing with one another. At this time, I am waiting for some others who have been asked but as yet haven't given me an answer. I am giving them time to mull it over! The baseball season is going to be shorter this year and won't be starting until Spring.

OH!! That Makes Me So EGGCITED to Have You
....on The Silver Sluggers!! Your good sister is Miss Monty Mae, correct? I think my Mom met YOUR good Momma at the Crazy Bird People Party last year. Yeah, she was one of those "out-of-towners". She met Miss Monty Mae very formal like, so as not to ruffle her pretty feathers. As your good Momma has said, she rescued you from that very noisy bird show that my Momma & lots of other Crazy Bird People went to the next day, I do believe. My Mom must have walked by you. She saw so many birds that she wanted to get ALL of them out of there!! It seemed very chaotic for birds in such a scary situation. Maybe "not really", but that all the birds were safe, but not to the poor birds! There's got to be a better way to do that...have a bird show without scaring the bah-jeebees out of the birds! I'm glad your good Momma found you. That had to be a very good day for both of you. I don't know what Miss Monty Mae thought of it, but she might have liked the idea!! I'm hoping she did.

With that being said, I hope we've found you a nice place to fit in and have a greyt time together with us playing as a team against some greyt teams from all over the BC! In time, I'm hoping to have some lovely ladybirds as Cheerleaders, too. It's always nice to have somebirdy cheering you on to Home Plate! And don't you worry about this being your first time, there are several that will be experiencing Birdie Bazbol for the first time, too. Thank you so much for becoming a Silver Slugger. Hello fellow African Greybird! This is SamIAm coming by to introduce myself & get to know you better! Sam offers his wing in a wing-shake.

How are you this fine Sunday in January? I hope you & your family are well.

Are you feeling a bit bored and gloomy from all these winter days? Wish you had something to look forward to? May I please make a suggestion?

Why not come & be a PART of something unique! Something quite fun and one you could be rooting for? Why, I am the Coach of well....the name hasn't be approved just yet...but the Silver Sluggers and we would be so honored to have you play baseball with us!

I will not sugar coat it. It will be grueling. It takes discipline and being there for practices and games. Fear not if your parront is working, simply log onto the Kevlar Stadium's page early morning of the game saying that you are there, doing whatever. Or that you're at my page reporting for practice. You could be warming up, chatting with teammates, putting on your uniform, that sort of preliminary stuff that happens before baseball games &/or practices. If that's it, that early morning blog saying you're there, then that's enough! But believe me, if you can be there while the game gets posted it is a HOOT!! And, no, the Commish is not a owl.

There are others from the BC present, rooting for their favorites, cheering, sometimes an all out soap opera happens in the stands! Sometimes they should just go ahead and get a NEST if you understand my meaning!! Those frisky love-birds!!

Anyway, it has come to my attention that you would be an excellent ball player and I would be so honored if you join my team, The Silver Sluggers. If ball playing isn't your cup of tea, how about being a cheerleader? The team needs to feel like there are birds having their backs and cheering them on to success! That is an important aspect and you would surely be welcomed!

But if you love the crack of the bat, the roar of a crowd, this will be a good place for you to be a part of something exciting. Let me know, Coach SamIAm #185466. It will be an honor to play ball with you!

Congratulations on your fine achievement of daring and trust and the willpower to step forth and try out the hand-held perch. Your world has just had a giant window opened in it. No, a huge doorway! You will find yourself being escorted here, there and everywhere now that the transport stick is not so fearful an object. My heart beams with happiness for you and this new-found courage. And if I might, kudos to your precious and most patient mom and the work and bravery she's contributed to this glorious accomplishment. You two, together, have triumphed!

You had me laughing with your description of your mom dancing around in merriment. I can just see her being that ecstatic and out of control with glee. I would say your big step was most definitely a very nice birthday gift to her. I regret that I didn't make it here to share birthday wishes with her on her special day. Please share a belated best wishes with her for me, would you please?

Not much in the way of unusual news from my stretch of the world. I've managed to grow out a few flights feathers so my roam zone has greatly increased though you can well imagine that many of the areas I land myself in are no-parrot-zones. I'm bound to start repeating my name with a bit of a tone to it before long for all the times I hear "KELLY" in a stern manner. I just can't resist that kitchen counter or the bar or following mom into the front room if she happens to step away. I'm definitely getting my exercise trying to keep up with her, that's for sure.

We are so please to hear of your milestone progress with your step ups, I'll bet your mom was beside herself with joy! LaLo is so sweet, she will do anything, but I just might never be hand tame! It's okay, my daddy loves me just the way I am, but he keeps trying everyday! We are planning a simple do whatever we want to do weekend, we think those are the best kind, no particular schedule or bells to answer! I hope your Saturday is off to a great start and it continues to get better for you all! ...I received and passed along Ms Monty Mae's orders to my daddy, and he has been taking his meds and resting, and showing marked signs of improvement! I am so glad to herar that you have worked your way into the hearts of your mommy and Monty, they are both wonderful ladies!
