 I got call Saturday and went and meet him Sunday 4/15/12 for an 8 year old Red
sided Eclectus that needed a forever home. We went and meet him and I feel in love
with Gino or also known as G- Bird. He immediately stepped up to me and came out of his cage and started talking to me .His previous 1st owner that had him since a was young no longer could care for him and went to family members house then to the lady I go him from. Lady I got him from was not familiar with Eclectus and searching to find him someone to give him a forever home. Gino has been in numerous homes in a short time. As you can tell poor thing plucks his feathers out. With change in diet, daily baths and not having to change home again we are hoping he will stop plucking in time. We will love him even if he is streakier bird :) He is VERY smart boy has a HUGE vocabulary. When we took him in our van to go home he kept saying HEY HEY where ya going. He does sing opera but we have not heard him do that. What I have heard him say in less than 24 hours we have had him is hello, good morning, Gino, g bird, whatca doing, hey hey where we going, come here, and laughs alot. But everyone please pray/ positive thoughts that Gino will settle down and quit self-mutilating his feathers. Such a sad deal that poor bird self mutilates his feathers !. |

Mom took the old guy,SCREAMING to Busch Gardens, and boy from what we hear, they had a great time. the got an annual pass, so they can go as many times as they want for the next year. the old guy was surprised to see jst how much fun it really was. Yeah I really have blue coloring. I'm only 6 months old so i'll probably molt out the bluish green feathers before long I'm sure.

the only reason I'm called KING TWEET, is because I was voted BIRD OF THE MONTH, and bear the title until the end of May. Then another, that got the most votes from everyone, get's to take over my spot at the Castle, and will have a Royal Picture, complete with Crown. It takes alot of hard work to achieve this, but I guess it the long run, all the attention is a good thing. Hey if I can help you with anything, please let me know, cause I know alot of people in low places, hee hee. There are many, many, nice people here, and once you get to know them, you'll see how much fun it is. My big sister SQUAK, was boird of the month, last year. Hope to see you soon.
