Hi Pedro
Vasas are well known for being good talkers, but I am crabby and stubborn, so I don't talk so much. That Harold is a sap!!! Mom hopes to breed us some day, as a handfed Vasa would be an awesome bird. For wild, unsocialized birdies, we are pretty cool. Harold was always dancing for treats, and I thought he was stupid, but I do it now too. Harold can talk really well, but no one tops Uzi. He has quite the vocabulary...and a potty mouth. We had a Timneh in our flock until about 16 years ago, he could really talk too. Mom still misses her Bad. Thanks for coming to visit me!
I am glad you came to visit me. Mom is hoping that Tootles adjusts to me. She said she hopes that my coming home doesn't set Tootles back. He had biting issues really bad when he first came home. He has gotten better but he still has issues with dad. I, on the other hand, have been playing the ball right and I am trying to get along with every one in the family. Mom said I am going to have to deal with every one in the family since spoiled Tootles will only deal with mom. Well I must go back into my cubey. Mom said it is about another month until I am old enough to come home...I cannot wait. It was nice to meet you! ~~MOOSEY~~Come visit me, Echo, Tootles, Kiwi & Moose E. Moose.

I'm Maude...and I don't want to be touched either. Harold is a sap, and he loves to get attention, but I sometimes take his treats out of his mouth and throw them, as he is MINE!!! lol! We love Almonds the best. Have you tried them? How are you today. How far do you live from Champaign? Seems most Il. birds are up north. I will have to visit your siblings and say hello. Did your Mom ever go to the zoo there? I think Bloomington is one hour? Anyway my Mom wants to go to the zoo and see the sloths, mainly she wants to go to Chicago to Brookfield to see Pandas, my Mom is 14 and wants to be a zoologist. I have this plan that a lot of the birds here on BC are helping with, the Steve Irwin Wildlife Warriors bands, I am asking all the birds to have their Moms, etc. purchase and wear these in memory of Steve Irwin and also for Skittles the rainbow lory who died this past Thursday. Also to ask Animal Planet to put a program on, weekly not a one time thing about birds, not just us pet birds and how great we are, but medical/care info, about how some of us are abused and abandoned, bring attention to saving the quaker flocks so they wont be destroyed, it is not their fault they were turned loose and multiplied. Need to bring attention to the desperate needs of our wild relatives and to save them and their habitats. See if your Mom will let you do this and also pass the word along.
