 My husband wanted a bird so he bought a little conure. Tiki immediately attached himself to me. Everyday we would have lunch together. After my surgery, I was home all the time so he would take naps with me. We've become best friends. Tiki is our baby and we are his proud parents.. |

My favorite treats are peanuts, carrots, bananas, potatoes and grapes!
 I love to hang out on my Mom's shoulder or on the very top of my cage. When I'm sleepy I like for my mom to hold me in her hand.
 I do not like nail polish on people or bouncy balls. I don't like when my brother Tango gets more attention than me. I'm terrified of monkeys ever since I saw "Rise of the Planet of the Apes"
 I love my mommy. She spends a lot of time with me and plays games with me. She taught me how to give kisses, roll over, do flips, talk, sing and dance. My daddy rubs my tummy until I fall asleep in his hand.
 I pretend to cough and sniffle to get you're attention. I love to laugh, sing and dance. I'm very talkative and love showing off my wings. I love playing with plastic bottle caps, I like to spin them in my mouth. I can also play games with my mom on her phone! My most favorite thing to do is imitate my mom. I make silly faces or noises like her..
 Live, laugh and love. & I say "Look at me!".

So you're an outgoing little character. I'm not surprised seeing as you Green Cheeks seem to have such a bubbly birdsonality. Interesting that Tango is more reserved. Guess he's more comfortable watching instead of being watched. I like your motto: LOOK AT ME! That may well be most parrots' way of thinking, well, except Tango. he hee.

Hello Again, My Little Conure Friends
So you're a Fancy GCC. I'll say! Love your colors, young man! You asked how I'm doing; very well, thank you. Despite the fact it was hot here in Illinois today, I did manage to get to go out to my aviary later in the evening. By that point, it wasn't quite the baking hot that it was most of the day. Mom is always happy when she can serve my fruit to me outside. That why it doesn't have to be scrubbed off cage bars and the floor the next day. There's a toad that hangs out in the parrot pen around the fallen fruit; I think he waits for insects to come dine on the discarded morsels ... and then HE has dinner himself. Have to love a toad that eats what bugs me. he hee

Hello Tiki! And Trixy and Tango Too!
Thank you so much for coming by with a note of congratulations today. My winning the BOTD award was quite the surprise. A very nice surprise, I might add. It's been a completely delightful day for me with all sorts of extra perks and privileges here at home, including a bit of tortilla chip and a yogurt-covered raisin. Oh, to be Queen everyday! (I don't think I'd get a tortilla chip everyday though, even if I was the Queen of the BC.)
You and your conure flockmates are so darling. I live with a Green Cheek myself. He thinks he owns mom but I've got news for him!
