Hi Precious
My Mom says to tell your Mommy that she's in for great fun with you, watching the changes from baby to adolescent. Your colors will become more vivid, your eyes will turn yellow, and then springtime comes and you are apt to have some strange behavior. This was my first year at clucking and turning around with my wings outstretched (Mom's learning how to deal with my hormones). I have a very large vocabulary, probably in large part because Mom spends lots of time with me (and, of course, 'cause I'm SMART!). She says I'm an Amazon in a small package, and she loves me so very much.
Mom's throwing a Hatchday party for me on Wednesday. To Dad (who just doesn't understand) it's a cook-out to have friends over, but for Mom it is in my honor. Another Sennie friend, Indy Sam (visiting with his parronts from Indiana), will be here, too. Even some neighbors who care for me when Mom's away are coming to celebrate. Wish all my BC friends could be here!

FOR NOW SINCE YOU ARE STILL YOUNG, TELL YOUR MOM TO BUY SOFT BALSA WOOD TOYS FOR YOU TO CHEW UP. GET THAT BEAK WORKING. THEN WHEN YOU GET OLDER YOU WILL LIKE TO CHEW ON LEATHER TOYS. YOU ALSO NEED SOME GOOD FOOT TOYS TOO. THOSE ARE GOOD TO TOSS FROM THE TOP OF YOUR CAGE OR FROM YOUR PLAYGYM. DO YOU HAVE A PLAYGYM? IF NOT TELL YOUR MOM TO BUY YOU ONE. ALSO RUBBER DUCKIES ARE FUN TO CHEW ON TOO. MOM GETS THEM FROM THE "MY BIRD SAFE STORE". THEY ALSO HAVE SMALL TENNIS SHOES TO CHEW ON. THESE ARE JUST SOME OF MY FAVE TOYS.

My mom held a young Sennie just about your age at a bird show a couple of years ago. She said she was so adorable she really wanted to bring her home. It took me quite a while to get over being jealous! You are safe though, because it looks like you have a very nice mama already.

My name is Kiddo, and my wifebird, SweetPepper, asked me to come and introduce myself to you and welcome you to BC. I was delighted to do so, because my mom loves seeing young Sennies like you. I do have to say you are adorable. Hope your mom takes lots of pics of you soon and posts them in your gallery. Do you know how to do that? If not, I would be happy to tell you.
We have a party every month here on BC (Bird Channel), and this month's is coming up this Saturday. I think you are on Central time, so it starts at 7PM for you. To go there you just go to your browser at the top of the page and change the number there (237028-that's you!!) to 165848 and hit enter. It will take you to the milonga page, which is what we call our party. This month's theme is a beach party, but there will also be a memorial for two of our birdy friends who passed this month. So it will be fun, but inspiring as well. And remember it is live, so when you post a blog it might be a little while before you see an answer because other birdies are blogging too.
