 I had been eyeing this cute Nanday in my local Petco for weeks. I had decided that if he was still there on payday I was buying him. As it got close to the day, however, I began to have my doubts. My 18-year-old poodle -- the animal I loved most in the world!-- was, finally, clearly, in his final days. It somehow seemed disrespectful to bring a new baby bird into the house and fuss over it when my dog was dying. And then he died (I was with him) the night before payday. It was horrible to lose him, but I had been losing him for months -- and it seemed like a sign that the Nanday and I were meant to be together. I named him Camelot after one of the favorite movies of my youth, because of the way it ends --"Don't let it be forgot, that once there was a spot, for one brief shining moment..." So it's about remembering, and my Nanday is "named after" my dog in that sense.. |

Hello again C-lot, how's our favorite NC today, Christy and I have voted for all the rest of your feathered family, and saved you for last, so here is yours! Our dad always did like the Jendays, Green Cheeks, and especially the Suns, but he thinks there is something special about the beautiful Nandays, and did you ever notice how many cameras have a difficult time picking up and saveing true color images of the NC simple color combination!? We told Eureka that we would expand our knowledge on the Bourke"s Parrot/Parakeet, as we told Reka Beka, we've never seen a real one, and what unique coloration they have, which only compliments their pleasant personalities. Well Camelot, we'll let you get back to your Conure buddies, if you guys get together and hit the right notes, we feel sure you could shatter glass, not that you'd want to, squawk at you later...

Just swooping by to say Hi and to see what you have been up to. Sorry I was not on yesterday, daddy got involved in one of his computer games and it was 1:00 am before he quit and went to bed. I told him no games until I get my blogging done. Daddy been walking 3 time per day for 600 ft each time and today he upped to 900 ft each time and he is only using his pain med. at bed time. His main complete is that the walker is not made for high speeds on a parking lot. They took Ruby with them and it started to rain a little and Ruby did not like her outside shower. Ç°> Good Morning Camelot
Just swooping by to say Good Morning and to see how you are doing. Daddy and Mommy want me to tell you thanks for all your kind words and prayers. There is a lot going on right now for our flock. First as you know Guinan went to the Rainbow Bridge. Second Dad has taken a job in Warrensburg, MO and we will be moving there the First of June, I am not so sure about that, I have never moved before, .and Third is Dad is going to have back surgery this Friday, I don't like my daddy not being home to play with me. This mean that Thrusday will be my last blog for about a week or two. We do appreciate all your prayers for our flock. Taggart who is the cat in the picture with Guinan is having a hard time with his buddy being gone, but mommy and daddy is making sure he get lots of loving this week. Ç°> It's a very Sad Day
Just swooping by to say it is a sad day for my flockily today. Our Boxer, Guinan, left us for the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. Guinan would have been 11 years old, had she lived to her next birthday on July 4. We will all miss her terribly, but especially Mom and Dad. Guinan was Mom’s 40th birthday gift to Dad. ~~ About 6 weeks ago, Guinan was diagnosed with a brain tumor. And after giving medication a chance to work to allow her to be symptom free, it became obvious that she was losing ground. Today, Mom and Dad talked to Guinan’s Dr. Tom, and the three of them decided that the tumor was growing much too fast for them to be able to give her any more good quality time with us. So we said our goodbyes, and made sure that our Rosalie Hale Bopp would be at the gates to the Rainbow Bridge, just this side of heaven, to greet Guinan and introduce her to the flockily she will be spending time with until all of us are together again. ~~ Please join me, Mom, Dad, my fiblings, and our kitties in a prayer for Guinan’s safe jouney to The Bridge, and for peace and comfort for those of us who remain behind. May we give and rely on each other’s strength in our sorrow, You can see her picture at the bottom of the my page.
