 Well I had always wanted a parrot but are mom had always said no to the idea. One day some of are chickens got killed by an wild animal so my mom to my joy said yes to getting a parrot. So that very day I looked up lovebirds for sale and found a lovebird breeder who handfed her baby lovebirds. And thats how I found My darling, sweat little pest of a bird. As how she became my bird, well she just attached to me the most, and my parents didn't really love her as much as I did.. |

Hello Kewe, you are very cute,
Thank you my birdie friends for flying by to congratulate me on my Bird of the Day win. It came as a complete surprise to me and I quickly donned my crown, took possession of the throne along with Kings Pearl and Silver and wrote down my royal menu for the day.
There was millet and cooked grains with sumptuous vegetables, heaps of seeds and some pellets too. And then I enjoyed the fine company of you and all the others who flocked to the castle, along with my big frother, Pepper who is always nearby.
Pepper and I really have become used to each others company. A few weeks ago he started being fed at his favourite spot by the window. He eats out of a big glass pan. He lets me eat from the same dish with him. Sometimes when I go to the dish, it tempts him down from his playgym and he'll eat some more. I think I've taught him the value of a good meal and to eat things he never considered to be food before.
The two of us spend a lot of time together in the aviary. Occasionally we are fed out there. It always ends with me cleaning up Pepper's food dish. He needs help with such things. One day he actually ate my supper instead of his. I almost died with disbelief. I almost died of hunger too, as his food that day was too mushy and fruity for my taste.
Poirot can be a big pain to me. He likes to do what I call displacement perching. That is, flying to any perch I happen to be on and displacing me. I do still get to sneak some of his food. He has some nicely shaped pellets that make for foraging fun.
Poirot is still under the weather and taking a cocktail of antibiotics. When he gets really uncomfortable he pulls out his feathers, which turns him into a nervous wreck. Nighttime is particularly bad for him, especially the last few nights. The vet and Mama are in contact all the time and now we're going to see if these current drugs help him. He is being a trooper though and at times you'd never know he was sick.
