 My original name was Julie, where I lived with my original owner who raised me from a baby for 18 years. Unfortunately her health was rapidly declining and I needed a new home. I went from there to a foster home for 6 months before I meet my new owner and mom Krystal. Apparently, a co-worker of her father, (who was one of the first people to domesticate cockatoos) informed her father of me. Seeing how she was looking for a new feather friend after the death of her beloved duck Helen. To my knowledge, Helen was a crippled mallard who lived to be 7 years old, despite the vets predictions of only making it to a year. So a week after her father so-worker told her about me, I met her later that same week. The following week she was mine. She was the perfect match personality wise and temperamental. It has been a wonderful year with my new mommy, and family, and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with her!!!!!!!!. |

My favorite treat is cream Cheese, its delicious! But I love my walnuts, pecans an fresh fruit, especially grapes!!
 I love to be right in the mists of the action... Basically my owner must keep me close, I am very nosy!!!
 I absolutely despise the broom, its so sneeky, sweeping in and cleaning up my mess I worked so hard to create... the nerve it has....
 Despite being a bit overwhelming at times in my need for attention, she always makes time for me, and my many needs... Did I mention she takes me every where she goes!?!
 I can't help it, but I love to irritate my dad's Rottweiler/Akit- a mix! I get really close o her face and dance there until she gets up on the couch and I can no longer reach her.... She is no fun when she does that. (although sometimes, when no one is looking I will dance by the couch to annoy her more, she likes to bark at me then to tattle on me).

To My lovely New Friends
Thank you to all my lovely New friends... Firstly my name is just like the Roman/Greek God Aphrodite- which in Roman terms her name is Cypress ( I spell my name with a K to be different, and to match my owner Krystal, who always spells her name with a K). My owner named me after the Greek god because she loves the mythology, as well as the fact I remind her a lot of the famous God. I'm gorgeous, just like her, I'm strong willed, stubborn, loving and mischievous all at the same time. (Plus Julie was just way to boring of a name for a gal like me!) I send a loving wing out to all of you for your many warm welcomes, and I wish I had the time to meet all of you in person, but sadly all I can do is look at your many wonderful photos and read about your many traits and talents. I'm Romeo, from reading your profile we have a lot of the same traits, go figure..I also have a dog that I love to tease, I'm always taking her toys away from her then while holding it in my beak tease her with it, If I get get close enough to grab her tail, she'll be left with a nub..I'm quite a wanderer myself, I'm out of my cage most of the time and spend a lot of time outside in my Aviary.Mom's retired now so I get lot's of her time and attention. "I have a brother Rusty the Grey, he and I are best pals, then there's CoCo the little Senegal, she's bugs me with her screeching and she's a big tattle tale also, then there's the 4 Tiels, I'm not allowed near them, they're much to fidgety for me, makes me act up..I'm a big love bug myself and like to be on Mom shoulder or sitting in her lap when she reads or watches TV..My favorite foods are birdy bread, sugar snap peas, the fresh ones, and I do love my pine nuts in the shell, but Mom rations them out like they're gold or something..It's been nice chatting with you, I hope you enjoy your time on BC and stop by anytime...It's nice meeting a new Umbrella friend..RomeoCome visit me, CoCoPuff, Rusty Playing 2nd Base for the Greyt Grey Wings, Smokey, Sunny, Bobbitt & Buttecup, Romeo & Our Angel Wings Toy Shoppe.
