I was in a pet store with a friend, I saw him,and it was love at first site. He was in the cage singing, blowing me kisses, letting me pet him and so happy to be with me. I decided after spending an hour at the pet store with him to not buy him. I went home that night and was so devastated, and couldnt stop thinking, or talking about him. It was a few days before my birthday, and my daughter decided to go on her own to the pet store to see if she could find this " prized bird " and bring him home as a surprise. She spent 3 hours there blowing kisses at all the little cockatiels trying to see which one out of 12 would start kissing back. All of a sudden, as my daughter was ready to give up,she notices one of them are really paying attention to her. She wondered if this bird was him, but his feathers were all molted off. As she was walking away, along comes this other cockatiel, he throws the almost featherless one off the perch, and next thing you know, he runs to the front of the cage where my daughter was standing, and he starts with the kisses blowing lol. Till this day we dont know how she did it but she found him!!! All I remembered was walking in the house after work, and all of a sudden, there he was sitting in my living room, singing so happily, and blowing me kisses. I sat down in front of that cage and cried tears of joy. Hes been with us for almost 2 years now, and hes really an incredible bird.. |
