New flock member
Jodie Carr and I are happy to announce the arrival of our new flock member, Queenie Belle. She's a lovely cockatiel and she's still getting used to us. We adopted her and love her like a sister. Before we adopted her, she had a hard time of it, so no photos yet. We're giving her lots of time and TLC to get comfortable with us. Wish us luck!!!Come visit me, Jodie Carr & Dimi.

Grammy Birdie
I wanted to include a picture of Grammy. She loves Dimi and Jodie Carr; she often 'birdie sat' and they adored her. She also cooked them brown rice with raisins, a treat they consumed with much delight. Now that our flock has moved down South, we all miss her!!Come visit me, Jodie Carr & Dimi.

Hello, twin!
I love to fly freely around a room as well! My cage is downstairs in the livingroom, but I get let out upstairs in Mom's room. I really love it up in Mom's room.
What are your favorite treats? I love, love, LOVE carrots, apples, and strawberries! Of course millet as well, too.
That sounds fun, chasing your Momma's feet! I'm too scared to walk around on the ground, but hopefully I will be brave enough one day! Thank you so much for visiting me, Dimi! Don't forget to stop by again soon :)

We had a great time with Chyna and her folks. When they got here Tuesday night and we all had dinner, and got introduced, it was really too late to do much, and besides they had been on the road for 9 hours, so we hung out and visited. On Wednesday, mom took Chyna's folks to the best bakery around, then to the bird warehouse. They met Chichi, Gus, their mom, and Cori and Booboo's mom at the warehouse. Everyone did some shopping, and they left for lunch. After lunch, mom took Carol, Aunt Jane, and Uncle Bill to the wildlife center to show them around. Gus, Chichi, and their mom had already left for home. Mom had made dinner reservations, then when they got home from dinner, we got all the attention they had left. Yesterday, mom took the adults to the museum for an extended tour, then to the incline here in the city. They rode the incline to the top of Mount Washington, where they had a fantastic view of the city. Of course, by then it was rush hour, so it took a while to get back. They met mom's sister and husband at a local restaurant and had a good dinner, then everyone came back here for a visit. That's pretty much it; this morning they packed up and left, so we're on our own again. I'll tell you more about us and Chyna tomorrow. Hope you are having a fun day. Oatie here today. Haven't heard from you in a while so we thought we'd check on ya. How's everybird in Ma? We've been doing pretty good here...cold at nights and even with the tomatoes covered the plants don't look good. So looks like a lot of tomatoes will be taken green. Mom even found a tiny zucchini for us today and she'll fix it tomorrow for us.
It's been a little chilly to go outside last couple of days but they say that soon it'll warm up for a couple of weeks so we'll all be able to go outside again.
Well better go and make sure Chaka gets his vote so he can go be our King next month. He's offline for a while but that doesn't stop us from voting...he needs 1,000 votes to get to the castle. Can you go vote for him too? I'm surprised he didn't ask you to vote for him already but maybe he went off when you just joined us. You can go to the Calendar Page to find his number, visit nearly everybird and a message from him is there and you can get to him that way....or look him up on the bird profiles. Lots of ways to get there. I stopped in to see your fister Jodi and left both of you a note. It's great you talk, Budgies are known to be good talkers and learn how to whistle complete songs.
My Momma Deb breeds birds here in Ontario. We have about 100 Budgies but only a few males can talk. They chatter none stop all day long. Me I'm a quiet fellow only yelling if I have something important to say.
Well, Momma has to go hand feed baby birds so I have to go.

Punkin gives her new friend a hug. You talk pretty good. Sidney talks a lot but only when she's beating up a tissue. heheehe It's so funny. If she's beating up a toy or tissue she'll say "get you, beat you up. I'm gettin it." and things like that. If Kiwi jumps on mom Sid runs over to beat him up saying,"NO! Sidney's! I beat you up!" Mom does more laughing about that but does take Kiwi and puts him away. Mom's still trying to learn all Ipo says. She says her name Ipo. and Kiwi and Sidney. And she says "Ipo good"
Oatie says I love you and come here and hello most of the time. Kiwi has a huge vocabulary...mom says about 100 words or so. Wish I could talk, but finches aren't built for it.
Another great day! we got to go outside and our wild cousins would land on the sidewalk and when they saw mom looking at them they flew off. Then mom put us on the grass to nibble. Boy that was fun.

So what kinds of words do you say? Although Sidney and Ipo and Oatie can talk they don't often...they say Kiwi does enough for them all. hahahaha
I know that male budgies do most the talking and stuff. Same with tiels. NOT that the girls CAN'T talk, they just don't feel the need. haha
We just moved back west to Utah from NC. Dads arthritis couldn't take all the humidity and storms. So we're all enjoying the wonderful fall weather and can go outside in the sun. We finches REALLY appreciate that. The bigger birds go outside lots because they just sit on mom and dad.
