 A month prior to my Mom buying me, she had lost her beautiful cockatiel named Catch, to kidney disease. Mom was at the bird store picking up toys for her flock in celebration of her lovebird's 7th hatchday. She happened to see a bird on consignment that looked just like Catch. Mom spoke to a lady that works at the store and she said she didn't know much about the bird on consignment. She asked if Mom was looking for any bird in particular and she told the lady of her loss. Mom missed cuddling Catch and she believes it is mainly cockatiels that have this affinity for cuddling. The lady at the store told Mom they had a baby cockatiel that was so sweet and lovey - it was me! As soon as the lady put me in Mom's hands, I hopped onto her chest and tried to nibble on her lip. It was love at first sight and needless to say, Mom didn't leave the store without me. |

Hi Bijou!
What a beautiful bird! Thanks for visiting me! Oh, yes, I am so lucky to have my Moms. They love me so much, sometimes I think it's ridiculous. I love to snuggle too, but only with my Grandma. Hee hee, Mom laughs cause she always had wanted a bird, and Grandma had told her "NO WAY" until she moved out and got her own house. But, once Mom rescued me off the roof, I loved her, but LOVED Grandma, and now I cuddle with her every night, and listen to Mom remind her of those "NO WAY will there ever be a BIRD in this house" days, hee hee hee!!! And now, Mom's rescued my Bentley too! And Grandma's hooked on birds, thanks to us. How wonderful that your Mom found you how she did! Sounds like you picked her out for yourself! You'll have to give Bentley a visit too, he's a pretty sweet little guy. I'm voting for you! ♥CoconutJennifer, Rockledge, FL.
