 I did a ton of research on birds before I decided to get a parrot. I wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting into before I made such a big commitment. I wish more people that buy a parrot would do that. I wanted a new born that I could bond with. I have a local Parrot store here in Vancouver (The Parrot Perch www.parrotperch .com) and was able to pick him out at the age of 2 wks. The first day he came to the store. I went into the store everyday and would spend about 3 hrs a day with him. Once he had enough feathers I held him for that length of time. He came home at 12 wks old and very well bonded to me. It made his transition home alot better for him. I have taken pics of him since he was two weeks old. So you can see what a sun conure looks like as he grows and his colors change. He is in his first molting stage at 7 months old and has changed alot in color in just one month. He will not have his full color until he is an adult at age 2-3 years old. The Parrot Perch owners are fantastic and They really helped me alot. Not to mention put up with me at the store everyday hours on end bonding with Marley and answering a million question all the time and never made me feel like an idiot or that I was annoying them. Other then the good healthy treats mom gives me I love Popcorn, Carrots, Footloops, Cheese its,Angry Bird Gramcrackers, Scrambled eggs, bacon, cheerios, there's more but mom can't remember right now.
 My condo (cage), On my owners shoulder, My play stand, Outside on a sunny day, Anywhere my owner is.
 when my owner leaves the room without me. I scream when I can't see her. She ignores my screaming so I go find her.
 My owner loves me, plays with me,gives me lots of kisses and hugs, gives me frequent showers that I just love to take, makes sure I get lots of good food, veggies, fruit, treats. Keeps my cage very clean and supplys me with lots of toys. Rotates my toys as well and adds new ones so I don't get bored. Teaches me to talk even though I am not normally known to be a big talker. She moves me from my condo (cage) to my play stand and carry's me with her, plays with me and has well socialized me with other people. When I say I have a condo, I really mean I have a condo. My cage is huge and full of way fun stuff to play with. I guess you could say I am pretty spoiled. :)
 I like to fly off my condo or play stand and walk around on the floor to go find my owner when she is out of the room..

It’s me, Lee-Roial. It has taken Mom and me a while to write you back because Mom has had a hard time (again) dealing with the fact another year has gone by and I am not with her. I keep telling her I am, but only in spirit, but that doesn’t go over too well. Mom made a list of every birdy who wished me a Happy Hatchday and congratulated me on BOTD or ABOTD (Angel Bird of The Day) and she had tears in her eyes. She kept counting and came up with 32 blogs, and that is only if you count one bird in a flock. There was no way she could sit down and write 32 blogs that day. She was right back where she started… She was crying again. To make things simple, I want to thank you all so much for remembering me and my hatchday, and for bringing me back to the castle for another day. It was truly a special remembrance. Kaji… Lizzie… a part of that delicious cake came to the castle for those birds who are not at the bridge. You are welcome to any picture on my page! I make sure all the BOTD birds know that their pictures are then in case they want a copy. I leave them in the gallery for a few months. Eventurally I have to delete some of them because I'll run out of room!
Pizap is lots of fun especially with the holiday stuff. I love the the frames they have for each of the holidays.
I sure hope your mom feels better. Make sure she gets lots of rest because it will make her feel better quicker!!

I hope your day is going great!
It's hard for most birds when they first join the BC. There is lots of stuff to learn but you'll get there! When mom first put my page up she didn't even know how to upload pictures! I only had one picture up for the longest time and my skin brother had to upload it!!
Now she dresses me up in all sorts of things!
The program she uses is pizap.com It's free and pretty easy to use. There are all kinds of backgrounds and you can do cut out. Blingee.com is fun too but mostly we use that to put the crowns on the BOTD winners. If my mom could figure them out, anyone can!
I hope the day is just perfect!!
