It was a close game, but the CJCs lost. Congratulations to the Wonder Wings, though, they played a good game. Mom just got home from her 2 tours today, and she is finishing our blogs before she goes outside to finish the planting. Maybe we'll get to go out with her a little later. We finally had a great day here today but my Mom was too busy to let us go outside and sit in the sunshine! She was too busy trying to pack for vacation tomorrow,they'll be leaving on Friday and won't be home til next Friday and the fid sitter came over late this afternoon to see what had to be done for all of us,and she's going to give me my meds and my cherry juice! Mom got all our food sorted in baggies for each day she'd be gone and put it all in little baskets tied to our cage sides! The fid sitter will also change my papers from inside my cage so I don't have to hurt my feet on the grate of the cage!
I'm going to miss you while I'll be gone and I can't wait to come and see you when my Mom and family get back home,it's going to be one long week for me!

You're so sweet! Tell your mommy not to worry. Mom knows other things come up or need to be taken care of. She says we will think about the basketball and let you know. All three of us are on baseball teams and she's feeling a little overwhelmed although it's fun. She's gonna have the grands for 10 days starting next week too.
It was lots of fun at the KB. It's so great Remy's got some new friends. Mom will try to remember and ask him to visit Jedi's page and maybe they can blog. Panther did an awesome job!!!
The beach sounds really wonderful, relaxing and a super suggestion. I could use some down time. I have my first baseball game tomorrow against the Greyt Grey Wings. Don't suppose you'd be able to watch me play, I'd love that! If you can't, wish me luck sweetie!

Basketball? That sounds intriguing. It was cold here for 2 days, with frost warnings at night, but today it's 82 degrees! Mom is hoping to plant those things she got last Friday, at last! I want to go to the game though, there are 2 good teams playing today.
This morning mom did a repeat of Monday, complete with raccoons painting themselves and their cages with food. The red tailed hawk stood between mom and its meal leftovers this morning, which she has never seen in all her years there. At noon she went to the museum to hear an assistant curator of vertebrate paleontology, Matt LaManna, talk about early birds from the Cretaceous, and learned a whole lot about our origins. It seems modern bird lines arose in Antarctica! It makes sense, the birds there were already used to harsh conditions and extended periods of dark. Anyway, it was a pretty cool lecture, and the docents might get a cast out of it! Mom asked Matt if they could have a cast of gansus for the dinosaur hall, and he said send him an email and he'd get one made!

I forgot to mention a big thanks to Taz for doing the awards for the milonga Saturday night, sorry. So here's our thanks for a job well done!
Mom cleaned for the wild red tailed hawk this morning, then finished the morning with the RVS animals. RVS means rabies vector species, so she cleaned and fed mostly raccoons (about 2 dozen!), ground hogs and foxes today. She enjoys the babies, but they're funny too. As she finished the room, she turned back to check the cages one last time, and some of the cages looked as though they had never been done, because the babies painted the fresh food all over themselves and the cage.
