 After Jacob died, Weasley became very upset. Bellatrix and Hermione were nice to her the first few days, but after that, started pecking her and being mean to her again. She had no Jacob to defend her. I knew it wasn't all that great to have an odd number of budgies, but I didn't really want to get another budgie! Well, I put my feeling aside and did what I thought was right, and got Dudley.
I joined BC on 11/3/12.
I won BOTD on 11/4/12.
My Dudley passed away on November 19th, leaving me very heartbroken. I may have only had him for 15 days, but I loved him so much. I'll miss my sweet puffy butt, he was so sweet.
I'm sorry I didn't get you to a vet, Dudley. I'm so sorry. Watching you die in my hands was the worst sight ever. You might have still been here with me if I had gotten you to a vet. I will never forgive myself. I know it wasn't my fault, my mom wouldn't give me a loan for a "budgie worth $21" to go to vet. Yet I do feel like it's my fault for not having a bigger vet fund saved up, so in a way, it is my fault. I"m so sorry baby boy. Your life was too short. I love you.. |

 He ate SO much millet. I know most budgies do, but at least Weasley, Hermione, and Bellatrix stop after a while. He would just keep eating and eating until I took it away..

Our flock is sending our deepest sympathy for your sweet little Budgie, Dudley! He was a special little bird, and now he is still with you in Spirit. We lost Dudley's look a like Angel My Little Angel last year, she was a female and she died from egg binding!
Our Mommy put her body in a small box, lined with silk fabric, sprayed her with perfumn, placed beautiful silk flowers all over her body, and after we gave her our goodbyes, our Mommy closed the lid on the box and dug a small hole in her flower garden and had a funeral for Angel. then laid the small box into the hole and buried her! our flock and our Mommy cried for our little Budgie! Then Mommy bought a beautiful flowering bush and put it over Angel's grave.Come visit me, Angel Rainbow, Angel Prizm, Chico, Angel Sunshine, Marigold, Angel My Little Angel, Joy, Chiquita, Pretty Baby, Angel Sundance & Angel Blueberry.

With Sadness
... I come to bid Dudley farewell. I regret that I didn't take the chance to meet him right after he joined the family. I heard he was a handsome little fellow and that Peatree really liked him. I bet his Momma Maddy did too.
Darling Maddy, me and the rest of the McFlock, including Kirby, are so sorry that your little budgie buddy was only with you for a short time. We hope you can find a little comfort in the thought that Dudley knew happiness with you. If he was a sick little guy and nobody knew about it, at least he got to know how good it felt to be a part of a family instead of yet still a pet store bird, waiting for someone to come pick him out. We feel sadness for you, knowing that you miss the little blue guy's presence in your house. No matter how long a bird's been a part of the family, it hurts to lose them.
