We need your help to save birdies lifes
I need the help of every BC birdie and parront.
I am doing some research on bird deaths due to the following medical symptoms. I will be writing a blog(s0 on this once i have gathered enough information. PLEASE, if you have had a bird die or recover let me know. IT COULD SAVE ANOTHER BIRDS LIFE:
Over the past 10 years I have lost several parrots with the following symptoms
1) stop eating suddenly
2)become quiet, withdrawn, inactive
3) large drop in weight
40 from lack of eating dropping become few, white with little, no stools
5) elevated White Blood cell count indicating an infection somewhere
6) Blood work shows normal liver/kidney function or near normal
-shows organs working properly
7)x-rays reveal nothing of significance that points to any specific medical condition
8) meds given--Doxycycline or Baytril*****
9) either bird improves within a few days or continues to refuse food, and looses more weight
10)forced hand feeding and injections of fluids recommended by Vet
11) MANY DIE with a few weeks to several months, appearing to improve slightly before sudden decline beyond our help
What I needs is to hear what symptoms you had? What your Vet found or did? Did your bird survive or go to the Rainbow Bridge?
All information will be held confidential unless you agree to sharing. Any Vets or Colleges that have dealt with this etc etc

Today's bird record is for the tallest flying bird, cranes. "The largest cranes can be almost 6 ft. 6 in. tall."

I want to thank Aunt Denise for the gorgeous flower pics she's done for me, they are sensational, and everybirdie should look for them on my main pic and later in my gallery, just to see some beautiful flowers!
Today, I want to give a pointer about containers. If you want a window box or container by your front door that's fragrant all the time, a good idea is to plant something that smells in the daytime, like alyssum or scented geraniums, and something that smells sensational at night, like nicotiana or moonflowers. That way you'll have scent all day and all night long. In a container, it's also great to have something trailing, like vinca or cascading petunias or snapdragons, and something tall, like dracaena or a grass spike in the back. That makes it scented and visually appealing all at the same time. Thanks for your continued support, here's a vote for you today. Zippy here, I am a "mature" 'tiel too! I am a rehomed bird so I do not know my hatchdate. Do you let Beenie preen you? I am having such a hard time getting the skin members of the flock to do a good job and enough of a job for me. I WILL NOT let Polly try--he grabs feathers out of me!
Polly interrupts *smack* and 'rrrrrrrrr' thats kiss and hug from the kissing booth.
He keeps doing that to me! I finally get a chance to talk and he interrupts!
