Those fires sound pretty scary, especially if it's been real dry there. What a ball game yesterday! Congratulations to the Phoenix Base Flyers, you pulled off a great win, but the Rainforest Raiders have nothing to be ashamed of. With the way they're playing, they won't lose many games this year.
Mom had 3 tours today, and she says if you have to have 3, this is the way to go: she had different grade levels and different subjects for each tour. We got the fountain up and running last night, too, so it looks pretty outside now, and we'll be able to hear the water when we go outside with mom. Today it's bright and sunny so we might get out, if mom gets our blogs done in time. It's making it hard on mom to blog for me but I know she can rise to the challenge! She keeps putting me back on her knee and I say "hello Sugar!"
Not much else going on today. It's just fine with me since I'm having a really fun time climbing all over the puter and all over mom!

It is good your mom stay prepared for emergencies, and it sounds like she has her priorities straight! We are absolutely heart broken over the loss of life and property in Okalahoma! Devastation such as this puts life into perspective, and with that comes a realization of just how fragile and precious life really is! Regarding the Raiders loss, I was just one biscuit short at breakfast, and I would have hit a Grand slam to win our game, that won't happen again! On the upside we are all safe and moving forward, please give my love to all in your happy little home, see ya tomorrow...

Hi, Mackenzie
We're eggcited and nervous about our first game. We've been practicing a lot so hope that helps. Mom knows to get us there early since she'll be at work and hopefully we'll be able to attend prior to the game's conclusion.
How scary to have that fire started by a person crazy on drugs and so good that it was put out so quickly. Terrible that many fires are started by careless humans whether by accident or on purpose.
Sounds like your mom has the plan if needed to evac you and the furballs quickly. The step up is a must in situations like this as every second counts. Raffikki's told us that when his area gets the tornado warning he quickly steps up to be carried to the lower level to wait out the storm. Of course with fires there's the smoke and that's deadly too.
It was quite warm here yesterday. Hoping the forecast cool down is correct.

10 days ?
Mom was exhausted after one ! She had to crawl after the little rug rat all day (he's 14 months) All he wanted was the 'puter or the remotes ! As he crawled toward them he kept saying "no, no, no" Silly boy !
The weather man said rain all week but the sun came out yesterday for a while - good thing too - mom had to go rescue dad when his car battery died ! Then she came home and we watched all the devastation and loss - it made mom really sad. So I did my best to comfort her with cuddles . . .Come visit me, Cookie ready for bazbol !, BC Library Now Open & Fly with the angels my Sally.

Chi chi’s team won their game today and they sure was excited too! Today skin sis came up and then her and mom went to spend some time with moms sister a bit..they call it girls day out. I think they did some shopping and ate out together too. As soon as I heard the car going in the garage I got happy and yelled for mom. She had bags so it slowed her down but she finally made it to the top of steps to give us kisses and loves. i just read about the horrible scare you had with the fire and i am so relieved everyone is ok. that is just awful that some derelict uncaring self absorbed drug addict would do something like that. mom heard on the radio that some mental institution was getting rid of some patients and they were busing all the crazies to california and just letting them loose. they also said that even though it is illegal to do so they have been doing this for years to solve over crowding.
so happy everything turned out ok.

How are u sweetie? I didn't do my blogging yesterday, mom & I were involved in a bizarre, freak accident early yesterday afternoon! I was unscathed, but mom wasn't as lucky...she's fine now, but very sore!
When mom is holding me, I like her to kiss my belly! She kissed me on my birdie nose, then I told her KISS BAAALLY! At the same time she raised me up, I lifted my left leg, & somehow, my front 2 toes slipped into mom's right nostril & GOT STUCK! Of course I'm past due for a nail trim & my nails are extra long & very sharp! I was struggling to get my toes free & mom was howling in pain! Thinking it was a game, I quit struggling & started squealing! Mom gently grabbed my foot & turned her head & my toes came out!
My poor mom was gushing blood! She grabbed paper towels to try to control the bleeding, got me to step up onto her cane, squirted my foot, put me in my cage, & took off for the emergency room! To make matters worse, they couldn't help laughing when mom told them how the injury occurred! That was a story that they NEVER heard before! Mom spent 3 hrs at the emergency room & had to have her nostril cauterized! Mom is fine, but her nose is very sore! I don't think that I'll be getting belly kisses anytime soon!

This is a baseball note, one I would've liked to have delivered the same day as our game. My being BOTD that same day put that goal on hold. Anyway,
HOW ABOUT THAT GAME, HUH? A WIN on our first time out there! I'm not going to say I can't believe it because that would not be true. I had every faith that this team would pull their talents and resources together and play like a well-oiled machine. We did just that, even when it got a little hairy there in the 9th inning. Mackie, you had some excellent hits in the game; your first connect got our second run of the game. Your second hit was a TRIPLE!! I just wish I'd done better and brought you on home. Missed my chance there. The team is so lucky to have you on the roster. You're what helps make us some MAJORE LEAGUE AWESOME!
The MLBs don't have any games this coming week so enjoy the break. There's lots of good baseball to watch though so maybe we'll run into each other at the stadium.
And now a question:
Do you wish the MLBs had their own team page? A number of the teams do and I don't want you feeling disappointed that we don't if you'd like one and feel it could be useful. If it's not important to you, I'd like to know that as well.
Our next game is Tuesday, May 28. We'll be the visitors so we'll have to work our magic early and hold the lead through that final inning. Sound like a plan?

DAD AND BROTHERS ARE STILL SLEEPING I SAY THEY LAZY. WE ARE UNDER A SEVER WEATHER WATCH ALL DAY LONG AND INTO THE NIGHT. THEY ARE SAYING DAMAGING WINDS HAIL AND A POSSIBLE TORNADOS . SO MOM GETTING EVERYTHING READY JUST IN CASE WE HAVE TO GO TAKE COVER.. WE WILL BE KEEPING OUR EYES TO THE SKY , TUNED TO THE WEATHER. WE HAVE A WEATHER ALERT RADIO I DONT LIKE IT WHEN IT GOES OFF ITS SCARY AND LOUD.BUT THE SIRENS OUTSIDE ARE MORE SCARIER WE ARE GETTING SO EXCITED CAUSE MOM GOT ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT OF WORK THEN SHE ALL OURS WOOT WOOT . WE BEEN OUTSIDE ALOT THS LAST WEEK CAUSE THE WEATHER FINALLY DECIDED TO WARM UP. WE BEEN TALKING TO THE NEIGHBORS IT WAS FUN SEEING EVERYONE AGAIN AND CATCHING UP ON THINGS. WE BEEN SPENDING LOTS OF TIME OUTSIDE WITH THE FAMILY ENJOYING THE SUN AND FRESH AIR . MOM IS GOING TO TAKE ME FOR A WALK LATER IF THE WEATHER CLEARS UP. SHE SAID WE COULD WALK TO THE PARK OH BOY THE PARK SOUNDS FUN.
I SUPERVISED MOM ON SATURDAY WHILE SHE WASHED THE PATIO AND PATIO FURNITURE ALL OFF THEN HER AND BROTHERS MOWED THE YARD SO I REALLY HAD TO SUPERVISE FROM INSIDE AND WATCH THEM CLOSELY TO MAKE SURE THEY DID A GOOD MOWING JOB. THEN AT DINNER TIME I SUPERVISED THAT TO. MOM SAID TODAY IS NAIL TRIMS AND CAGE CLEANING GRRRRRRRRRR. NOT TO MUCH MORE GOING ON HERE SO KICKING YOUR VOTE OFF TIEL FRIEND .... Another nice day here with a high of 75. They say tomorrow will be warmer though, so Mom is planning to get me outside for sunbath early before she goes to the gym. Now if she would just stay home.....
Anyway today was burritos for lunch day! Mom always gets a chile relleno burrito and shares it with me, which is terrific. Now if I could just get her to stop calling me burrito breath!

Yes Mackenzie our Mom believes the same as your Mom...She is just so grateful for so many wonderful friends that we have on BC and how caring & thoughtful they are and also sending their prayers to her. She says they do help her through everyday right now. So thank you Mom again for us....Mom does know that budgies actually talk because her brother and sister-in-law had one years ago and it certainly did chatter and you could understand every word. So Remy although no a budgie will probably pick up words in time from hearing Athena. Our weekend is a mixed bag; mom is doing tours today and tomorrow, but it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. Today the dogs go to the groomer, but when mom drops them off, I think she is planning on taking us all outside! YAY!! It's so pretty here, with all the flowers in bloom. The irises have started to blossom, too. Tonight, mom and her family are celebrating Mother's Day. They always wait to do that, so they aren't in crowded restaurants and being hustled to eat fast. Tomorrow, tours are in the afternoon, so again, we might get outside. I think that's all for this weekend. I hope you are having a fun weekend, and get a chance to enjoy some fantastic weather where you are, as well. Definitely need to keep a constant eye out for the grands. It's good that the dogs are so well trained and tolerate anything the kids do, but teaching 'em how to treat the dogs is essential. Other people's dogs might get a tad agressive if being pulled and the like.
Back to our normal spring. Cool temps, sunny and breezy. Quite awful to have that many tornadoes and most were very powerful and destructive. Such a sad sight to see all the homes leveled and folks losing everything.
Congrats on your team's win! Hope we do well on our game on Tues.

How many grands are coming for HOW many days ? Mom and dad weren't ever lucky enough to have any children (I'm way cuter anyway !) They are very close to their 2 nieces though - in fact one has her own room in our house ! She's also my Cookie-sitter :) I do love my Laura ! Congratulations on your first game win too!!! Great job Mackie. Mom said we had to be in our condos today cause somebody was coming to visit a bit. When the lady came I started making my jungle talk toy talk and I let out some ear piercing sounds. The lady knew nothing about fids apparently and asked mom why she would want us!! When the lady was ready to leave mom took me out and held me and she was shocked how well behaved and loving I was. She was amazed when I laid upside down in moms hand too. How are u sweetie? Mom must REALLY be guilt-ridden! She's still falling all over herself to take care of my every desire! She held me & played with me until she had to leave for her Drs appt, then got me out of my cage as soon as she returned! Tho, mom was very weepy when she got back. The vet's office had called her, her precious Chloe's ashes were back, mom stopped there to pick her up. Chloe's urn is a beautiful decorator jar. Now mom has her precious Chloe back home forever!
I knew exactly how I would cheer my mom up! First, I gave her some big beakie kisses, told her LOVE U, then proceeded to tell her all about my game! MOM, WE WON OUR 1ST GAME! IT WAS REALLY CLOSE THO! THE GREYS PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT, & THEY ARE GOOD FRIENDS, SO AS HAPPY AS I WAS FOR US, I WAS SAD FOR THEM! Mom smiled & gave me a cuddle & some kisses, & said she was very proud of me! Not for winning, but for being a good sport & thinking of my friends' feelings!
The school across the street was having their annual carnival, so mom took me over so I could gawk at all the kids & say HI! I was a regular birdie ambassador! I was on my best behavior! I kept saying HI, did my tricks, let a bunch of kids pet me & gave out a couple kisses to a couple brave souls, but mostly to mom! Mom bought a couple pieces of pizza, so I lost interest in the crowd of people & focused on the food! Mom stuck me on her shoulder so she could carry our pizza, coz mom needs her cane to walk! I was sooooo focused on the food that I was begging on the way back to our house! I'm not sure about u little guys, but when we macaws beg, we drop our heads, flatten our bodies & "gently" flap our wings! The entire walk back, I kept saying MMMMMM in her ear, & each flap I bopped her on the same ear! When we got back into our house, she couldn't hear out of her left ear for a little while! Hehehe, but I had a great time! YES, it's another great day to be me! & yes, the pizza was delicious!

Hi MacKenzie
It was a beautiful day here today. After Mom got home from the gym, we went outside for my sunbath. Even though it was pretty breezy, it was just perfect. Not too hot, and the breeze was warm.
Then we came inside and Mom and I shared lunch. It was one of her lo cal frozen lunches, but that's OK. It had corn, rice and a few black beans (I got them all), and what could be better than that?

Happy Friday!!I have a great idea.Maybe you could start a new art project then your mom can take a picture of it when you are done.I agree those wood blinds were just large toys waiting for you when you were ready to play with them.My mom has always wanted wood blinds in her bedroom I bet she will think twice about that now.I say she should go for it then let me sit in the window with them.Have a great evening.Come visit me, Hulk Vote Luigi(225307)BOTM.

Greyt meeting ya today. Yeah, it was a close game, you guys were really good out there today, congratulation on a good win on your first game. Congrats on your win today, good game! I hope you got a prize yesterday, they threw tons of them in to the stands. It was a close game, but the CJCs lost. Congratulations to the Wonder Wings, though, they played a good game. Mom just got home from her 2 tours today, and she is finishing our blogs before she goes outside to finish the planting. Maybe we'll get to go out with her a little later. It's a beautiful sunny day here, with temps in the high 70s or maybe low 80s. Thanks for the wishes on mom's work. And thank you for keeping her in your prayers. Mom prayers for help all the time.
We are so sorry to hear about your business. What type of business did you have? Times are tough for so many people. That's what gets mom through. She just tries to think that there are people who have it worse. And she figures there's no point being depressed about it because it's not going to change anything. She just tries to make the best of it and has found new hobbies that aren't strenuous -- like writing and reading, which she's always loved anyway! And we love those activities too because she does them at home and we get to help. She's trying to garden on her small balcony too and she loves to put out bird feeders and watch the birds come on the balcony. Boy, do they make a mess! Even more than we do! LOL
I'm glad your dad found a job. And mom hopes your mom's health issues aren't serious. We will keep you guys in our prayers too. Mom has endometriosis, which is very painful and has no cure. But she also found out she had adrenal dysfunction and they are treating that, which has made a huge difference in her energy levels. Mom is 38 but was needing naps twice a day to function and doctors don't listen! They tell her she's depressed or something and mom is never depressed. She has anxiety but not depression! Mom always wants to do things. She has lists of all the things she wants to accomplish and businesses she wants to start. So luckily she found a nice doctor who is helping her and he charges her a very reasonable fee (since she has no insurance).
Don't worry about the sob stories. Sometimes it helps to get things out!
Today mom is working so we get to be out and help her. Well, mom doesn't exactly think we're helping, but we do!

Hello Mackenzie~
I hope you are having a wonderful day. I've got the gardeners here to watch. They are outside my window mowing the lawns! Pretty soon Mandy will be woofing to go out just because she likes to smell the fresh cut grass! Mom takes her for a walk everyday and Mandy has decided she likes to walk down to the Starbucks. Do you suppose it's the scones they sell? I always share my scones with her so maybe she figured she just go down there and get us some! I like the way she thinks!!
Mom already went to the market before I even got up! The store is open 24 hours a day. It's less crowded early in the mornings but mom has to put up with freight on the floor and the floor scrubber being used. Since she works nights at a store, she is use to that stuff.
She got me some pecans so I'm looking forward to my snack! I'll be having apples and pecans today! Yum!
I'll be supervising the chores later on and letting mom know how she should do stuff! We all know our parronts would be lost without us!!

Yes, Remy sure is a good looking Red-Rumped Parakeet and I bet it is a lot different to your Mom having him around because both Athena & you are much bigger birds and he is a bit smaller. We Tiels do a lot of chattering and talking and pick up things Mom & Dad say but like your Mom said I do not think we know the meaning of some of the things we say. We just like to repeat it over and over again....Mom does have her days when every step she takes it hurts and some days it is not as bad.
