Hi MacKenzie,
Dad says the policeman should have shot the druggy lady, but Mom says they can't do that and Dad is just shooting off his mouth again. Perhaps they need a parrot to bite her?
Mom is feeling lots better today, so I got my typist back. Not only did she do the ice pack thing on her shoulder a couple of times last night, but she had a session with a trainer at the gym today on working it out safely, and that helped too. So now she can type, which is what is important, right?
Oh, and Mom went to get her mammogram first thing this morning and an ultrasound too. She talked to the Radiologist about the ultrasound, and he said it looked good. She will have to wait a few days to find out the results on the mammo, but she's very optimistic since the ultrasound is the final word.
AND BIG NEWS. My mom has been trying to get me to say Mama for a couple of years, and the other night I did it! Of course, I haven't seen fit to repeat it, and can you blame me? I add a new word (a special one!) to my Hello and C'mon, and what does she want? She is now trying to get me to say Hello Mama! The nerve!

Mom and I cannot believe I am 9 years old already. I came to Mom when I was only a couple of months old and now I am a big boy and so independent. My entire flock lucked out because Mom cleaned all our cages outdoors and she gave every birdy a new toy, but I got TWO new toys and some treats. To make things better, I got BOTD. What more could a bird want. Spending a day in that Man Cave with King Jetta was something a bit different from the usual castle experience but it was loads of fun. Thanks so much for coming by to wish me a Happy Hatchday and to congratulate me on BOTD. I do hope you got a piece of the cake Lizzie baked - she is the best! Mom made cookies but they don't compare to the cake. Sorry Mom... giving Mom a kiss. Hello Mackenzie!
How's things been going this week? I've had a good one so far with a little time outside most days. It was only for a short time today because it was almost chilly. I hear it's supposed to be that way for a couple of days now. Guess I shouldn't have packed away my sweaters just yet.
Well, as is the norm when I stop by, there's always the topic of baseball to bring up. There's two things tonight;
1. You all are a great bunch of help, telling me that whatever everybody else thinks about a team page is alright with you. What do I do if nearly EVERYBIRDIE said the same thing; "Whatever everybirdie else wants." Well, since four definite yeses were mentioned, we'll go with the having a team page! It's purpose will be for posting all the team pictures as well as the games we've played and the schedule of when we're playing next. Any sort of practicing we do will still be done on at Kevlar Memorial Stadium. We want our presence felt there. Thank you to those of you who took the time to voice your thoughts and opinions on the subject. I appreciate that.
2. We have a teammate who is celebrating a hatchday on Thursday: Miss Ruby, our Left Fielder! (35469) Let's join her in her 7th celebration.
Our fellow Macaw team is playing on Thursday against the Quaker Little Dragons. If you haven't got anything else to do, come cheer them on starting at 3 pm EST.
I'll let you know when the new team page is up and ready for visiting.

We have the calendar for the games, but we'll see if mom has time to go around and check for each team's players. She did not look at the commissioners page, maybe I'll have her start the hunt there. If not, many have a team page of some sort. We'll see.

mom thought she had me on the best possible healthy diet. even when i was sick the vets always said how good my feathers looked with only one or two feathers with stress bars on them. mom was very happy to see how beautifully my new feathers were coming in after my spring molt. well wouldnt yoju know my feathers are now loaded with stress bars. i look much healthier, am more active, my beak is growing in perfectly. as a matter of fact mom doesnt even have to trim it because it is not growing so rapidly now. mom thought i was on my way to recovery until she sees all these stress bars. she did read that if you over supplement your parrot excess pigmentation and stress bars can occur so mom has stopped all my supplements for liver disease. so far so good but i guess we will have to wait for my next molt to see the end results. mom says as long as i am acting healthy and have a sparkle in my eyes she is happy(sort of). she just doesnt like seeing all these stress bars. why last night when i had my bath i was flapping my wings like crazy and having the best time. she says i havent acted like that for quite a long time so that made her happy also. by the time i was done with my bath mom was completely soaked. love Cori

Congrats to the Tiel Terrors on their win yesterday!
Our hearts are sad for all that loss of life in OK. What a terrible event.
Mom worked in the RVS room again today, the baby foxes are growing like weeds! There are still a ton of raccoons and a few ground hogs, too. Then she went to get her hair cut, and stopped to pick up some lunch. We all told her to eat fast, because both the boys have a game today, and Falco wants to watch and cheer. Tonight she's working at the museum again, a special evening event. On my page is a pic of the fountain mom got running the other day. It looks like it's terra cotta, but it's really a light plastic. Well Mom said that in the 9 years living in the Poconos of Pa that she honestly can say during the summer months that only once they really needed to turn the A/C on and that was for 2 days and only during the day....Night time it cools down because of all of the trees surrounding the property. By about 3-4 a.m. in the morning you need to at least have a cover on or you are a bit cool....Sometime 70 here it is not as warm as you might think....It is so quiet at night you do not even hear a car pass the house. We won! An eggciting game since the 'tiel terrors came from behind and we just never gave up. Good luck to Remy and the keets today.
Hopefully no fire ever gets to your hillside and that vegetation is kept short and stuff around your house is not too close or whatever is recommended by fire officials.
It did cool a bit, but hope it goes down even more. There is a nice breeze and that certainly helps.

How old are the grands ? Mom says she remembers spending wonderful days at her g'mas - best days :) Mom and dad weren't blessed with any of their own, but mom's sister had 2 girls - both of which are like daughters - and now the one has a son that spends quite a bit of time here too . . .

It is so sad of all the tornadoes in Oklahoma and we are praying for everyone that lives there and on BC too. We hope our friends are all safe and well and know your in our hearts and prayers. nothing scare mom more than fire and we wouldnt want anyone to have to deal with something like that. so very happy everybody is safe and sound. wonder what will happen to the person that set the fire. prison are overcrowded also. maybe they will bus her back to nevada.

Hi Mackie,
Mom so knows how scary those fires can be, although I have not really gone thru one. The fire a few weeks back was just close enough to smell and keep me inside, but we were never in any danger. Glad yours didn't do any real damage. That lady must have been nuts!
Well, this is going to be a short blog today, because Mom's shoulder is acting up again and it hurts to type. She got thru her training session and zumba at the gym Ok, but then when she got home it started to ache. She had massage therapy this afternoon, which should have helped. Not much improvement though. So this is it for today. Oh! I did get a sunbath.

We had a cooler day, it was low 80s, and we are eggspecting further cooling. 70s for the weekend; good weather for working in the yard.

Wow that would f been very scary. I hope they don't let that lady out of jail. Hope they get her some kind of help. Mom did say that the lady going to ave to want help to get off drugs first or its just axwast of time. You have to help your self before someone can help you is what mom aways says.nyou have to want to change or the help. Any way glad you are all safe. I think you should give that lady a Good beaking for putting you all and other in danger. It's cloudy and cool here today to but dad did let us go outside for a little while with him. Mom was at work we been pretty quiet today and playing in the fake tree and gym . I think we are just happy that we can go outside for fresh air. We'd s my last day of work until fall. Those fires sound pretty scary, especially if it's been real dry there. What a ball game yesterday! Congratulations to the Phoenix Base Flyers, you pulled off a great win, but the Rainforest Raiders have nothing to be ashamed of. With the way they're playing, they won't lose many games this year.
Mom had 3 tours today, and she says if you have to have 3, this is the way to go: she had different grade levels and different subjects for each tour. We got the fountain up and running last night, too, so it looks pretty outside now, and we'll be able to hear the water when we go outside with mom. Today it's bright and sunny so we might get out, if mom gets our blogs done in time. It is good your mom stay prepared for emergencies, and it sounds like she has her priorities straight! We are absolutely heart broken over the loss of life and property in Okalahoma! Devastation such as this puts life into perspective, and with that comes a realization of just how fragile and precious life really is! Regarding the Raiders loss, I was just one biscuit short at breakfast, and I would have hit a Grand slam to win our game, that won't happen again! On the upside we are all safe and moving forward, please give my love to all in your happy little home, see ya tomorrow...

We're eggcited and nervous about our first game. We've been practicing a lot so hope that helps. Mom knows to get us there early since she'll be at work and hopefully we'll be able to attend prior to the game's conclusion.
How scary to have that fire started by a person crazy on drugs and so good that it was put out so quickly. Terrible that many fires are started by careless humans whether by accident or on purpose.
Sounds like your mom has the plan if needed to evac you and the furballs quickly. The step up is a must in situations like this as every second counts. Raffikki's told us that when his area gets the tornado warning he quickly steps up to be carried to the lower level to wait out the storm. Of course with fires there's the smoke and that's deadly too.
It was quite warm here yesterday. Hoping the forecast cool down is correct.

10 days ?
Mom was exhausted after one ! She had to crawl after the little rug rat all day (he's 14 months) All he wanted was the 'puter or the remotes ! As he crawled toward them he kept saying "no, no, no" Silly boy !
The weather man said rain all week but the sun came out yesterday for a while - good thing too - mom had to go rescue dad when his car battery died ! Then she came home and we watched all the devastation and loss - it made mom really sad. Chi chi’s team won their game today and they sure was excited too! Today skin sis came up and then her and mom went to spend some time with moms sister a bit..they call it girls day out. I think they did some shopping and ate out together too. As soon as I heard the car going in the garage I got happy and yelled for mom. She had bags so it slowed her down but she finally made it to the top of steps to give us kisses and loves. i just read about the horrible scare you had with the fire and i am so relieved everyone is ok. that is just awful that some derelict uncaring self absorbed drug addict would do something like that. mom heard on the radio that some mental institution was getting rid of some patients and they were busing all the crazies to california and just letting them loose. they also said that even though it is illegal to do so they have been doing this for years to solve over crowding.
so happy everything turned out ok.

How are u sweetie? I didn't do my blogging yesterday, mom & I were involved in a bizarre, freak accident early yesterday afternoon! I was unscathed, but mom wasn't as lucky...she's fine now, but very sore!
When mom is holding me, I like her to kiss my belly! She kissed me on my birdie nose, then I told her KISS BAAALLY! At the same time she raised me up, I lifted my left leg, & somehow, my front 2 toes slipped into mom's right nostril & GOT STUCK! Of course I'm past due for a nail trim & my nails are extra long & very sharp! I was struggling to get my toes free & mom was howling in pain! Thinking it was a game, I quit struggling & started squealing! Mom gently grabbed my foot & turned her head & my toes came out!
My poor mom was gushing blood! She grabbed paper towels to try to control the bleeding, got me to step up onto her cane, squirted my foot, put me in my cage, & took off for the emergency room! To make matters worse, they couldn't help laughing when mom told them how the injury occurred! That was a story that they NEVER heard before! Mom spent 3 hrs at the emergency room & had to have her nostril cauterized! Mom is fine, but her nose is very sore! I don't think that I'll be getting belly kisses anytime soon!

This is a baseball note, one I would've liked to have delivered the same day as our game. My being BOTD that same day put that goal on hold. Anyway,
HOW ABOUT THAT GAME, HUH? A WIN on our first time out there! I'm not going to say I can't believe it because that would not be true. I had every faith that this team would pull their talents and resources together and play like a well-oiled machine. We did just that, even when it got a little hairy there in the 9th inning. Missed my chance there. The team is so lucky to have you on the roster. You're what helps make us some MAJORE LEAGUE AWESOME!
The MLBs don't have any games this coming week so enjoy the break. There's lots of good baseball to watch though so maybe we'll run into each other at the stadium.
And now a question:
Do you wish the MLBs had their own team page? A number of the teams do and I don't want you feeling disappointed that we don't if you'd like one and feel it could be useful. If it's not important to you, I'd like to know that as well.
Our next game is Tuesday, May 28. We'll be the visitors so we'll have to work our magic early and hold the lead through that final inning. Sound like a plan?

SORRY I MISSED THE GAME I BET YOU PLAYED A GOOD GAME. ....
DAD AND BROTHERS ARE STILL SLEEPING I SAY THEY LAZY. WE ARE UNDER A SEVER WEATHER WATCH ALL DAY LONG AND INTO THE NIGHT. THEY ARE SAYING DAMAGING WINDS HAIL AND A POSSIBLE TORNADOS . SO MOM GETTING EVERYTHING READY JUST IN CASE WE HAVE TO GO TAKE COVER.. WE WILL BE KEEPING OUR EYES TO THE SKY , TUNED TO THE WEATHER. WE HAVE A WEATHER ALERT RADIO I DONT LIKE IT WHEN IT GOES OFF ITS SCARY AND LOUD.BUT THE SIRENS OUTSIDE ARE MORE SCARIER WE ARE GETTING SO EXCITED CAUSE MOM GOT ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT OF WORK THEN SHE ALL OURS WOOT WOOT . WE BEEN OUTSIDE ALOT THS LAST WEEK CAUSE THE WEATHER FINALLY DECIDED TO WARM UP. WE BEEN TALKING TO THE NEIGHBORS IT WAS FUN SEEING EVERYONE AGAIN AND CATCHING UP ON THINGS. WE BEEN SPENDING LOTS OF TIME OUTSIDE WITH THE FAMILY ENJOYING THE SUN AND FRESH AIR . MOM IS GOING TO TAKE ME FOR A WALK LATER IF THE WEATHER CLEARS UP. SHE SAID WE COULD WALK TO THE PARK OH BOY THE PARK SOUNDS FUN.
I SUPERVISED MOM ON SATURDAY WHILE SHE WASHED THE PATIO AND PATIO FURNITURE ALL OFF THEN HER AND BROTHERS MOWED THE YARD SO I REALLY HAD TO SUPERVISE FROM INSIDE AND WATCH THEM CLOSELY TO MAKE SURE THEY DID A GOOD MOWING JOB. THEN AT DINNER TIME I SUPERVISED THAT TO. MOM SAID TODAY IS NAIL TRIMS AND CAGE CLEANING GRRRRRRRRRR. NOT TO MUCH MORE GOING ON HERE SO KICKING YOUR VOTE OFF TIEL FRIEND .... I'm still hopping around on the tips of my toes, barely able to keep myself grounded what with the feeling of elation in my heart over our win on the baseball field yesterday. To do that on our first game should be a real shot of courage for the ones to come.

Oh I just know you can do it your going to get to those blinds.The way I see it is if your mom put wood blinds in your bird room they are for you to chew its your room right?

Hi Mackie,
Another nice day here with a high of 75. They say tomorrow will be warmer though, so Mom is planning to get me outside for sunbath early before she goes to the gym. Now if she would just stay home.....
Anyway today was burritos for lunch day! Mom always gets a chile relleno burrito and shares it with me, which is terrific. Now if I could just get her to stop calling me burrito breath!
