Hi Roxie
How are you doing? Hope you're having a nice week. We rehabbed 4 baby white winged doves last spring. We don't know if they'll come back now or not becos they were hatched in the city and fell from their nests. Our friend gave them to us and we live about an hour north from where they were hatched. We're wondering if they'll go to their old nest or come back here. They were with us for about 2 months and then my parronts let them go. They didn't leave! hehehe! They knew a good thing when they had it. One did fly off after a day or two but the other two stayed and flew around outside during the day but usually came back at night to come indoors. Sometimes we didn't see them for a day or two but then they'd come back. Then one day the last one to leave had breakfast on the porch with dad and then sat on mom's head for a long time and then flew away.
Well, time for bed! Have a nice week and hope to see you and your flock at the milonga Sat. nite!

Hey cutie! What are you up to this coming weekend? The owl is doing really well. He does eat live mice and usually what happens is the vet whacks them hard and then puts them in the cage. Mom doesn't think she could do that although dad has no problem with it. Dad is on a guy's trip for a few days so mom is feeding every birdie and the owl is getting raw chicken! hehehe! My parronts have rehabbed a lot of smaller birds like sparrows and white winged doves. They did a lot of baby doves last spring and they migrated so they are wondering if they'll return to our house or go back to the city where their nests were originally. They all fell from their nests and the people couldn't get them back up that high.
Well, have a fun weekend. We had a big rainstorm last nite and it was windy and cloudy all day today and supposed to be in the 60s this weekend which is like super freezing for us!

Punkin gives her a hug. Sorry I haven't been by before now but we had so much goin on on the Pirate Pearl (you did read our adventure didn't you? my fister was the chronicler) then last couple of days we haven't had any connection at all. We think it's cause of the snow storm we had. Since we don't understand WIFI we can't say much there. And today at 8 am it was only 9*!! We didn't even get to 32 at our house!! And it's colder tonight. Gotta go and fluff up for the night. Thanks for your blog! That owl is a great horned owl who was hit by a car. The police found him and brought him to a friend who brought him to my parronts who took him to the vet. His wing was broken in 6 places and had to be amputated. The vet cares for him and my parronts visit him and pay for his food and care. He is very cool but of course he would eat me! hehehe!

Its called a jungle talk toy and it says "hello", I love you, calling all birds and then one that laughs. Its my favorite toy and play with it alot. Over five years ago the one grand wanted a bird so mom got her a cockatiel and she still has it. The other grand wanted a guinea pig so mom got her one. They both named them Oreo though neither knew the other had either. Mom called skin sis today and could tell she was crying and here the guinea pig had passed away this morning. The grand didn’t know since she had to leave for pitching softball and skin sis kept her away from the guinea pig cage. Later mom talked to the grand on the phone and she was upset but don’t think as upset as skin sis was. Mom told skin sis she would take her to get her another guinea pig but skin sis no she didn’t really want anymore cause they sure make a big mess and lots of work. Now skin sis did have one as a child but it was our mom that did the cleaning of it so skin sis didn’t know they were that much work till the grand got one LOL. At least they got him buried and we will miss him but have great memories and he had such pretty pink eyes…RIP Oreo. “Make new friends, but keep the old. Punkin here. So nice to see another small bird in the castle. You are just a little bit bigger than me, I'm a finch. A bigger breed at that. I'm an Orange Weaver. When mom first got me we had a goffins C2 named Roxy. hehehe She was noisy cause mom's father teased her. Due to him Roxy had to go to another home and that's when Kiwi moved in. Yep, I'm the one mom's had the longest.
