Oeddie & Ophelia came to me after lots of research through a local hobbyist breeder. They have been two of my most loved pets ever since and really made me fall in love with Finches.. |

Hi! My name is Oedipus Rex
I am a Finch from Tacoma, WA.
Oeddie, Oeddie-poo, Oedipuss-n-boot- s, Oedible, Oedipus Rex, Pretty Oeddie, Oeddie (Poo) Bear
4 years old M
Finch
Sprouted Millet, fresh California Spray Millet, hard-boiled egg soft food, Bee Pollen, Insect Treat, Hatched! Eggshells, and F-vite (grit replacement).
Oedipus mostly likes to hang out in his cage. He is regularly given the option to fly out to play on branches and to drink at water fountains in his bird room but often declines to make nest repairs and cuddle with his mate in their flight cage.
Oeddie is usually too relaxed to have any pet peeves! He generally leaves all of the peeving to his easily peevable mate Ophelia :) He will complain however if his sprouts (or other treats supplementing his already diverse diet) show up late in the morning! Heaven forbid!
I love it when she delivers my morning snack.. on time! I also love how she has set up my flight cage and how she has set me up with this hot hen! I especially love to land next to her when she least expects it and sing as loud as I can. Her surprise is worth it every time.
Oedipus likes to take regular naps throughout the day, always after his morning snack and fresh bath. He then flies to his favorite branch and fluffs up every feather until he and his mate Ophelia are two little sleeping puff balls. None of my other Finches have such a cute ritual! He also has a habit that when he does decide to stretch his wings on occasion, he lands close to me and sings very loudly! His song is very distinct so it surprises me to hear it outside of his cage and I gasp a little and whistle back. I'm certain he thinks it is hilarious to surprise me!.
Don't be late with my morning snack!.

Thank you William! Oedipus is a Chestnut-Flanked White Zebra Finch, a beautiful Zebra Finch color mutation. CFWs usually look a lot like him, but he is still very special of course! Thank you very much for noticing, and for your generous compliment! <3 Chelsea & Oeddie Le Pinson Blanc Aviary www.lebeaupinson.wordpress.comCome visit me, Oedipus Rex.

White Finch I voted for this bird because it's coloring is different than other finches I have seen. White with the different color stripes make a unique bird.William, San Francisco, CA.

Hi Oedipus. Here's a vote for you! My bird mom had to hand feed a new baby finch for a week. It was fun. Now she (Champ) is a hand tamed finch and a happy little birdie. I don't sing, just squawk alot! Squawk! It's fun to be loud. Come visit me, Pickles.
