My husband originally paid for a baby quaker, which unfortunately died before weaning. The store offered to find a replacement, give a full refund, or a lutino ring necked parakeet I had admired while visiting my then hand-fed & sick baby quaker. I chose the ringneck parakeet becuase he was so unique & store assured me his care was basic, as all birds...they say. I'm learning the truth!!. |

Thanks Thanks for visiting my bird's profile :) Up until this point, the pet store was reliable. I previously purchased a baby green-cheeked conure I named Calypso. She was the 1st bird to steal my heart. (And quell my urge for another baby-baby) A raccoon or possibly a cat tore in through a screened window. All I found was 3 feathers. My husband swore she must've gotten away. He kept hope alive and would stand outside for hours looking into the trees, walking the neighborhood. That was 3 years ago. The Ringneck was a holiday gift, a bit unexpected. But he's her to stay so now I will throw myself into attempting to understand him and his breed.Come visit me, Star.
