Hello Blue!
I hope this last week of spring is treating you kindly. Hard to believe the year is nearly half over already. That's why we need to make the most of these glorious warm days including our time on the baseball field. And speaking of the sport, we have yet another Thursday game coming up. We'll be playing the BC WonderWings, a team captioned by Pico the Caique and Indiana Sam the Sennie. Boo Boo, Gus and Scion as well as Rocket, Rudy, Prissy, SuziQ, Peekaboo, Punkin and Lars make up the rest of team so as you can see, we'll be meeting up against friends. And what happens when we get together with friends? We have a good time, no matter the outcome of the game, right? Right! I know we've lost three of our four games but look on the bright side; we have eight games yet to play in the season so there's many opportunities yet to get the needed WINS to make it to the play offs. If a team could win on sportsmanship and participation, our team would in the top standings, that's for sure. The MAJOR LEAGUE BEAKS are an enthusiastic, active team and that makes me so proud of us! Wether we lose or win, we're pumped and thrilled about the game. Is that cool or what!

Thanks for being one totally awesome team. I'm looking forward to meeting up with you on the field Thursday. See you there!

it was so great to see you at the game today cheering for us and me. The worst part about losing to those white birds is living with them, I know you have that issue as well. Does Doo gloat like Taz does? Sometimes I'd like to wing slap that smug look off of his beak.

Oh, no you don't have to have special costumes to skate unless you are a part of the exhibition skaters so just come as yourself and you will look fine. I think I'll wear a cute t-shirt and a pair of capris. Nothing could spoil our night out as long as you are there on my wings.

My fister, Chloe is doing lots of new stuff after 11 years. She has a video up with her flying to her house when mom asks her to. She has been exploring by getting on the floor and walking all over, she never used to even get down off of her cage.
Chloe was up on the top of her cage on her playtop, a place she rarely goes unless she is along the edge tapping on the wall but tonight she was actually playing up there with one of her toys from Uncle Chuck. Mom and dad just stared at her in shock, mom was happy to see her doing that.

Boy, that was some bbq at your house. Your dad is a great griller, those ribs were awesome. I loved being in the water and floating around drinking our drinks. I know that Jewels enjoyed it too especially being out there with Charlie.

I had fun cheering with you at the game, I like cheering for the teams, Pearl and Silver are a couple of my best friends and they are on the 'Tiel Terrors team.
I go to as many games as I can to cheer on my friends. I am a Mighty Macaw so I'll be playing and cheering from the dugout. Will you be at my game on Monday? It would be nice to see you there, cheering for me and the team, fan support is important I think.

I will do my best to help you not make a complete fool of yourself but I can't guarantee it...lol, I will teach you how to skate and we will have a great time skating around the rink to the sound of Sam and the Scruffy Birds Band.

the GGWs won the game so Miranda should not feel bad. I know that you will do great on skates at the Milonga.

The game today was a fun game but it would have been much better if you Major League Beaks could have won today. I cheered hard for the team but to no avail today. Oh, well, there is always another game on another day.

I really enjoyed being with you at the TP B&G after the game. That strawberry Chicarita was so good. The natchoes were super good...

Hello MAJOR LEAGUE BEAK!
I bet you're one happy macaw to have your parronts back home again. There's nothing as sweet as the regular routine that only the parronts can supply, right? When my mom goes away, the youngest of the human sons is left in charge of our care and while he tries to do everything just like he's been instructed, things usually end up a bit jumbled and chaotic. I'm always thrilled when mom's back and "normal" reigns again. Since I happen to know it can take a while for that status to be reached once the folks are back, I'll understand if you're not able to make it to today's game. I can come by and pick you up if need be though. You can let me know if any services are needed.

Here's my baseball note for the day —

It's a THURSDAY in June so you know what that means; we're live at Kevlar Memorial Stadium this afternoon! Today we're hosting those little CrackerJack Conures. We can't let their size lull us into thinking this could be an easy win. On the contrary, if you know conures like I know conures, they're a feisty bunch who have no fear of larger birds, something I'm sure they'll be bringing to the field in full force today. So be sure to pack your MAJOR LEAGUE confidence in with your cap and glove today when you prepare to head for the ball diamond this afternoon.

Mom went and got her nails done today and they are a pretty pink color this time. The parronts went to Costco after the game and got us some walnuts and almonds...yum.

What a great game that was today and I am so happy for my fister, Chloe's team. Both teams played so well and it went right down to the wire.

I would be honored to accompany you to the Milonga and I know that Jewels will be as well. It will be fun watching the skaters and then skating with you.

Hi Blue,
I am sorry that I didn't get to the game today, mom was so busy doing the umpiring that none of us got to go except Rosie "Hawkface" who had to be there to announce the game.

Mom is trying to catch up with her blogs as well but is having a tough time with it.

The parronts did their grocery shopping early this morning at 7am, at least this is early for them to get out of the house, lol. They took it easy the rest of the day, mom sat out in the sunroom and watched the gardeners, listened to the radio, and did some emails by then it was time to cook supper. Where does the time go?

We have a squirrel that lives in a maple tree across the street. He/she makes a trek around our yard a couple of times a day. He runs along the top of our fence and goes somewhere and then later comes back across the fence ,teasing Harley if she is out there, down the side fence all the way to the sidewalk. It is fun to watch him walk a little way, stop and look around and then move on only to stop again a little further down the fence.

Reba here in her coaching capacity. I just wanted to touch base on our game this past week, the one we lost to the Raiders, unfortunately, but it wasn't because we didn't try. Oh my! We made them work to get that win. Hats off to our home run hitters, Zeena, Blue, Mackenzie and Tia. Even I got lucky and put one over the fence. Ruby snagged one of the two triples, as well as a double. Simon, Mac, and Rio also got doubles. There were quite a few singles, including Peppy's and Cori's and a number of walks but it just wasn't enough to get ahead on the scoreboard. The Zon's had too many innings with the bases loaded! But that's okay; we had ourselves a good time playing ball with our friends, both on our team and those on the other, right?

Our next opponents are the CrackerJack Conures who we'll be hosting since we'll be the home team this come week. Here's a practice throw to keep you warmed up and ready for our next game

How are u sweetie? We are getting some much needed rain today & also tomorrow...it hasn't rained here in almost 2 weeks! It has rained all around us, but we haven't seen a drop until today!

Mom was a bit sad & weepy today. It's been one month since she lost her precious Chloe. I haven't let mom wallow in sadness tho! I've been singing to her, playing & doing my acrobatics on her lap, shoulders & back, climbed onto her head, hanging onto her hair, swung down to her face & played peekaboo! & other assorted entertaining games! If she leaves the room, I slide down her cane & follow her saying "Hello Bub"!...Bub is the name I chose for myself! I kept her smiling & laughing all day long with my comical antics!

We MLBs lost our BazeBol game today, but I'd like to congratulate JennyLynn & her Rainforest Raiders for a game well played!

How are u sweetie? Well, mom did it AGAIN! She hasn't sent my blogs out in over a week! She has been busy doing spring cleaning, scrubbing everything down & putting winter stuff away & getting out the summer stuff! It's a slow & tiring task for mom! She said it would go a little faster if she didn't have a large bird sitting on her hand! I disagree tho...how can I make sure she's doing it correctly if I'm not right in the middle of everything?!

The parront had to change her plans for next week. This week she will be home and next week hopefully she will be able to go to Tampa, so we wont be blogging next week because she is our typist heeee. The weather here is cloudy and some rain. So your mom has a co-worker that rescues ferrets. Interesting. Guess the world is full of lots of unique people. Not every one can be normal like bird~lovers, can they. *grin*

How's things with you? Getting along okay with Josh? Sharing the parronts well enough? Found any new places you like to hang out? The t-stand that RaneBeau and I share in the kitchen, it has this high divider in the middle, meant to keep our two big beaks from having match ups. We do that on occasion though with little malice, just sort of top-dog behavior. I won't mention who wins most of the time. Suffice it to say that I rarely sit on my perch; I sit on top of the divider and lord over the big goofball down below. *smirk* I've never once popped him in the head, I promise.

Well, we've experienced our first loss in baseball but you know, we'll be okay. We'll come back in our third game, play stronger and wiser and make ourselves all the more proud of our efforts. That game will be against the Rainforest Raiders who will be coming off a win in their last game. An interesting thing about our games in the month of June is that they're all on a THURSDAY! That should make it easy to remember when to be at the stadium in your uniform, right?

How are u sweetie? I haven't been on BC the last few days coz mom has been very busy! I don't understand why blogging to my friends had to take a backseat...my social life should be mom's top priority! Well, I guess I'll let it slide this time, coz mom was helping my sissy! Sissy & her hubby are licenced foster parents, & received a long term placement on Friday...2 very sweet sisters ages 5 & 11. A month ago the girls spent a weekend at sissy's, & were very happy that they were being moved to her house! Their parents are both heroin addicts & have no desire to get clean! Mom & the 5 yr old bonded over pics of me, & she calls her Grammy, just like the other grandkids! The girls came with 3 carloads of stuff, so mom has been going over everyday to help sis get things put away & organized! Mom will be home all day today, so I'll have plenty of mommy & me time!
It's a good thing too, coz mom will be gone ALL DAY tomorrow! Sissy is taking mom's 9 yr old grandson & the 11 yr old girl to an amusement park for the school picnic, & mom will be watching the 3 younger kids! Mom will stay home all day Friday to make it up to me! I sure hope that means that I'll also get "sketties"!

it was fun watching you play today...I am sorry that your team didn't win but you can't win them all.

My dad is going out of town for a day or so and he is leaving tomorrow morning around 6 am. His race motorcycle broke and he is taking it to a really good engine builder who has agreed to look at it. Dad is not sure what the problem is...the parronts are really hoping that it is not going to be too expensive to fix so keep your toes crossed for us. Dad might be home tomorrow but if it is an easy fix then dad will stay a couple more days if it is more complex then he will be home on Thursday. afternoon.

Our weekend was quiet...it was nice on Friday, wet on Saturday, nice on Sunday, wet again on Monday...

Oh, we don't plant the wildflowers. We live in the woods and they just grow every where. The pics on my page show our driveway (on the right ... house is around the bend to the right) and our road. It's pretty to walk around the woods and see the pretty wildflowers.

Sweet potato and orange - yummy! I never tried that before and it sure makes a good mess all over the cage too. I LOVE wiping my beak all over the place. It gives Mom so much more work to do, and I can stand on her back where she can't get to me while she is cleaning my cage. Our weather has been yucky too. Last night we had a frost again and Mom said we might not get to plant the veggies at the rate things are going. last year we did not have a garden because we had just moved but this year she really wants to try one. Weh we lived in the city she had a big one, and even if it is just a small one, she wants to give it a try and see if she can grow some of the basic thigns like tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, green peppers, and a few other things. Mom said you are a little too far to share it with you. Mom has been to NJ before - she has friends there, but has not been there for a long time because now she has birds and cannot get someone to take care of them so she can get away. Well, I am going to perch now - I am tired from the game today, so I will see you real soon. Come on over anytime! We can get into lots of mischief together. LOL

We hope you had a good Memorial Day celebration. Mom made curried chicken last night, so some of us got to taste it. Giz and thought it was okay. Today she had tours, then went shopping, and tonight she's going to dinner. I think we'll get our out of cage time after dinner. We got our cages wiped down pretty well the other day, so maybe mom will just change papers tonight, so she can play with us. We can always hope, right? It looks like the weather will be great for swimming tomorrow, so mom will head for the pool after the center. We may not get online until late! the bridge that collapsed was no where near us but we were happy that no one was injured.
I am glad that you liked our garden. Mom is pretty happy with it all. We had a sunny spring starting but now it has turned into a wet spring...I prefer the sun...

I saw you at the game today but guess you didn't see me, maybe we can sit together next time. I'll be at your game tomorrow to root the MLBs on to victory...

It sure looks like mama robin is not coming home, we have not seen her is a few days now. Mom thinks that maybe a predator found her nest and she moved to a new location to lay more eggs, at least she hopes that is what happened.

Mom was so busy with the game on Sunday that she didn't give us any time to blog with our friends.

Yes, that is a trillium. We live in a woods and they grow all over. My mom really likes them.
That was a nice memorial service at the stadium today. We had a nice sunny day of 70 degrees and were able to have our little cookout. Now the next 5 days will be t-storms and rain .. GRRR!

The folks only stand with our grandparronts until the threat was over on Sunday and then they rushed home because they had left me home alone. I was fine and wasn't scared. Once baseball ends, it will be time to get the cookbook together, then. I like the parrot oriented idea. Mom made us a new dish, she used a soak and simmer base, then added red lentils and rice. How are u sweetie? Nothing happening today...thank goodness! Mom spent the whole day at sissy's house yesterday, watching a 14 month old boy. My sissy watches him but wasn't available yesterday, so the little tyke's mom asked mom to watch him coz he loves mom! Mom watched him from 10am-5pm & only sat down once when she fed him, & swears she did 5 miles chasing him around! Mom was so exhausted that after she put me to bed, she went to bed at 8:30!

Mom is feeling much better! The cortisone finally kicked in & she has some relief in her shoulders & her nose is healing nicely! She said that she can breathe better out of the right side...but she said NO WAY will she let me Roto-Rooter her left nostril!

I have missed you as well, I was about to come over to see you. It is tough to get all the time you want when you have fidlings who want time as well.
We almost won the game but those cute Little Dragons got us by a run...we have lots of games to play and we will win our share.
I think it is cool that you are playing on the MLBs with my frother, Simon.

Not much new here, mom did post some pictures of our yard, we had some landscaping done...the pictures are on Chloe's page. Mom also put a couple of pictures up on Jewel's page featuring a robin bathing in our fountain and a picture of a robin's nest and egg that is in one of our hanging plants...

How are u sweetie? Well, after all those steamy hot days in the 80s & 90s, it's back to the winter coat again for mom! It's going down to 33 thru the night, so the flower pots have to come inside AGAIN!

Not much happening here today! There's been lots of thunder BOOMS here yesterday, so I've been squealing & saying BOOM a lot!

Mom is feeling a lot better today! The cortisone finally kicked in her shoulder & only has one sore spot in her nose. She said that she can actually breathe better out of the right side...but she's not about to let me Roto-Rooter the left side! Mom's laughing about it now, but she wasn't laughing while it was happening! Mom said maybe she would have found it funnier if it happened to someone else, hehehe! Actually, mom wouldn't wish that experience on anyone!

I did not know that's what aratinga meant. I sure act like a macaw, though, heehee. I nipped mom a good one last night when she was putting me to bed!
Today mom herded cats! That's right, 2 kindergarten tours in dinosaur hall, with little ones going off in all directions! The chaperones were doing their best but kids get really excited there. Her third tour was with 5th grade, called Treasures of the Carnegie, which is basically a docent's choice tour, since the whole museum is a treasure trove.
Last night, mom worked an evening event in gems and minerals with a bunch of well to do adults at a wine tasting. It was fun, and right at the end, she ran into the president of the board of Animal Rescue League, the parent organization of the wildlife center. It was good to see him. He showed mom a spectacular picture of his blue and gold macaw. Mom may post it later.
The Pois pulled off a come from behind win yesterday, good for them. Giz was happy, Willie not so much. He really thought the Keets team would win. Both teams did a great job, though.
Hope you are having a good day, it's storming here. The storms started as soon as the game ended yesterday! Mom shut down the computer just in time. May you get lots of attention today, hugs, Falco
