I did not know that's what aratinga meant. I sure act like a macaw, though, heehee. I nipped mom a good one last night when she was putting me to bed!
Today mom herded cats! That's right, 2 kindergarten tours in dinosaur hall, with little ones going off in all directions! The chaperones were doing their best but kids get really excited there. Her third tour was with 5th grade, called Treasures of the Carnegie, which is basically a docent's choice tour, since the whole museum is a treasure trove.
Last night, mom worked an evening event in gems and minerals with a bunch of well to do adults at a wine tasting. It was fun, and right at the end, she ran into the president of the board of Animal Rescue League, the parent organization of the wildlife center. It was good to see him. He showed mom a spectacular picture of his blue and gold macaw. Mom may post it later.
The Pois pulled off a come from behind win yesterday, good for them. Giz was happy, Willie not so much. He really thought the Keets team would win. Both teams did a great job, though.
Hope you are having a good day, it's storming here. The storms started as soon as the game ended yesterday! Mom shut down the computer just in time. You know, you are one hilarious guy. "Doe this crown make my beak look big?" LOL!! Sweetie, you ought to see what a Greenwing beak looks like in the mirror. It's HUGE compared to your dark, slender one. I have vowed never to go to one of those "fun house" mirror places. I scared to think what my beak would look like in one of those distorted mirrors. But oh! wait, don't they have ones that make things skinner than they really are? Then again, I might not be able to crack open a walnut if I had nothing but a skinny little beak. Guess I'll stick with the one I've got and be glad I've got it. And no, your crown doesn't make your big look big.
Well, as is the norm when I stop by, there's always the topic of baseball to bring up. There's two things tonight;
1. You all are a great bunch of help, telling me that whatever everybody else thinks about a team page is alright with you. What do I do if nearly EVERYBIRDIE said the same thing; "Whatever everybirdie else wants." Well, since four definite yeses were mentioned, we'll go with having a team page. It's purpose will be for posting all the team pictures as well as the games we've played and the schedule of when we're playing next. Any sort of practicing we do will still be done on at Kevlar Memorial Stadium. We want our presence felt there. Thank you to those of you who took the time to voice your thoughts and opinions on the subject. I appreciate that.
2. We have a teammate who is celebrating a hatchday on Thursday: Miss Ruby, our Left Fielder! (35469) Let's join her in her 7th celebration.
Our fellow Macaw team is playing on Thursday against the Quaker Little Dragons. If you haven't got anything else to do, come cheer them on starting at 3 pm EST.
I'll let you know when the new team page is up and ready for visiting.

How are u sweetie? Mom only got a few blogs out yesterday, so she's sending the same blog with some new added to it! Mom got her cortisone injections in both of her shoulders yesterday, which she gets every 3 months. She usually gets some relief almost instantly, but her right shoulder actually feels worse today! Mom also went to her granddaughter's preschool graduation last evening! I had an exciting day today! It was mom's granddaughter Olivia's last day of preschool, & I got to go! Most of Livi's classmates came running up to mom at the graduation last night, very excited that I'm coming to their class today! Mom takes me to the preschool classes there every year, & I love seeing all the kids as much as they love seeing me! The only difficult part of any excursions, is mom getting me back into my carrier!
Mom is doing good today, but her nose is very sore! Mom has been giving me belly kisses for nearly 16 yrs, without incident! It's swollen on the right side & a bit bruised, even tho the damage was done on the inside! Because my nails & toes are so long, most of the damage was 2 inches down in the nasal cavity! The ER Doc said it was a good thing mom had previously had her adenoids removed, coz my nails would have destroyed the right one! Mom has to be rechecked in 2 weeks, or immediately if she starts bleeding again! She had to be cauterized in 4 different places & has to take an antibiotic! Mom said that the scariest part of having my toes stuck up her nose, was that she was very afraid my 2 toes would end up broken...mom was very relieved that my toes are absolutely fine! Mom refers to this incident as "NoseGate 2013"!
Mom doesn't want anyone to think that the ER Nurses & Docs were being discourteous, they were not! They were picturing a tiny pet bird, like a Budgie, not a large Macaw! Mom showed them a pic of me, they weren't expecting me to be so big! When mom said "Be glad I got her loose before I came in"! That's when they started laughing!

Well, when I heard you were the only one in the flock not have made BOTD, I just had to step in and take charge. Next we have to get Teal'c his plaque too. And here's another vote to add to your number.
Well, this is going to be a short blog today, because Mom's shoulder is acting up again and it hurts to type. She got thru her training session and zumba at the gym Ok, but then when she got home it started to ache. She had massage therapy this afternoon, which should have helped. Not much improvement though. So this is it for today. Oh! I did get a sunbath.

How are u sweetie? I didn't do my blogging yesterday, mom & I were involved in a bizarre, freak accident early yesterday afternoon! I was unscathed, but mom wasn't as lucky...she's fine now, but very sore!
When mom is holding me, I like her to kiss my belly! She kissed me on my birdie nose, then I told her KISS BAAALLY! At the same time she raised me up, I lifted my left leg, & somehow, my front 2 toes slipped into mom's right nostril & GOT STUCK! Of course I'm past due for a nail trim & my nails are extra long & very sharp! I was struggling to get my toes free & mom was howling in pain! Thinking it was a game, I quit struggling & started squealing! Mom gently grabbed my foot & turned her head & my toes came out!
My poor mom was gushing blood! She grabbed paper towels to try to control the bleeding, got me to step up onto her cane, squirted my foot, put me in my cage, & took off for the emergency room! To make matters worse, they couldn't help laughing when mom told them how the injury occurred! That was a story that they NEVER heard before! Mom spent 3 hrs at the emergency room & had to have her nostril cauterized! Mom is fine, but her nose is very sore! I don't think that I'll be getting belly kisses anytime soon!

A round of applaus for you, KIng Blue on your BOTD Victory. And even bigger and louder bunch of cheering for your magic touch in the ball game. Blue, your triple won that game for us!!!!!! I could've kissed you right there on the spot!! Simon and Chica might've wondered about me but I was so excited about winning the game, I think they would've understood. While I know you're busy enjoying the perks of Kinglyness, I'm going to go ahead and share my baseball memo.
HOW ABOUT THAT GAME, HUH? A WIN on our first time out there! I'm not going to say I can't believe it because that would not be true. I had every faith that this team would pull their talents and resources together and play like a well-oiled machine. We did just that, even when it got a little hairy there in the 9th inning. Do you realize you started the game with a triple and ended it with the same? Way to go, Blue! You drove in the first run of the game and the last one. Thank you VERY MUCH. You had some solid singles in between, base hits that kept the runs coming in. You were definitely part of what made it happen for us last Friday.
The MLBs don't have any games this coming week so enjoy the break. There's lots of good baseball to watch though so maybe we'll run into each other at the stadium.
And now a question:
Do you wish the MLBs had their own team page? A number of the teams do and I don't want you feeling disappointed that we don't if you'd like one and feel it could be useful. If it's not important to you, I'd like to know that as well.
Our next game is Tuesday, May 28. We'll be the visitors so we'll have to work our magic early and hold the lead through that final inning. Sound like a plan?

Enjoy your day in the castle! Our bird club meeting went really well and after Arthur settled down, he did okay also! He did a lot of growling, barking, and wolf whistles, crazy bird! I am so sorry that I didn't get by yesterday to give you my vote in your run for BOTD but I didn't get over to the Calendar Page yesterday...bad me, but luckily lots of birdies visited you yesterday.
Chica gives Blue a hug and then to his surprise...she kisses him right on his beak...Congratulations King Blue...
The parronts were out at the race track yesterday and mom got some blogging done but then her battery got to low and she did not have an inverter so she could plug into the socket. She is going to get one of those before the next race for sure. Something went wrong with dad's bike, it started making a rattling sound so dad shut it down and loaded it back on the trailer. He stayed a little longer to watch some friends race and then they came home so that was nice for us anyway...kind of selfish on our part though.
I am hoping that your weather is getting warmer...our temps are more like normal again, in the mid 70s which is just great...

Congrats on winning BOTD sweetie! I didn't realize that u were running for BOTD, but I vote/visit u daily, so I had my teammate's back! What a week! Coach Reba won BOTD Friday & we won our 1st game, hopefully ur BOTD win will be a good omen too! U & I make such a great catcher/pitcher duo, & I'm looking forward to our next game!
