June 18 against Da Pois 'n' Dem
1st Inning
Hulk was the 1st batter and grounded out to short stop Cookie for out 1. Ollie was then struck out by pitcher Quincy. Beaker recorded the 1st hit, a triple and scored when Kaji hit a single. Ginger ended the bats with a strike out. The Dragons were 3 up 3 down to start the game with outs by Quincy, Photon and Polly.

Score: 1-0 Pois
2nd Inning
The Dragon defense returned the favor with 3 straight outs by Gizmo, Hal and Cheyenne. However the Quaker bats were still cold as Waddles and Archimedes were struck out and Cookie gounded out to 2nd base birdie Kaji.

Score: 1-0 Pois
3rd Inning
The slump continued for the Pois as Leah and Hulk struck out and Calico hit a deep fly ball which was caught by Jade. Dragon Micky was struck out swinging for the fences as The Bird got the 1st Dragon hit, a triple. The Pois infield was hot throwing out Jade and Kiwi.

Score: 1-0 Pois

4th - 6th Innings
4th Inning
Ollie got the offense going with a triple and scored when Beaker hit a single. Kaji and Ginger were struck out by pitcher Quincy. Gizmo and Hal both hit singles to load the bases. Cheyenne then smack a ball into the gap but a diving Micky made the saving catch. Inspired by the defensive stop, the Dragon offense was poised. Quincy was struck out by a fast ball. Photon and Polly hit back to back triples. Waddles followed with a double and moved to 3rd on Archimedes single. Cookie and Micky then hit back to back triples. The inning would end with outs but The Bird and Jade as the Dragons took the lead.

Score: Dragons 5, Pois 2

5th Inning
Leah and Calico both opened with singles. Hulk’s pop fly to short field Kiwi did not help. Ollie hit a single to load the bases and Beaker followed with a single to net 1 run. Kaji and Ginger both flyed out to end the potential big inning. Dragon Kiwi hit a triple and scored when Quincy hit a single. The Pois defense tighten thing up with outs by Photon, Polly and Waddles.

Score: 6-3 Dragons

6th Inning
It was another 3 up 3 down for the Pois with outs by Gizmo, Hal and Cheyenne. Archimedes was struck out looking and Cookie miss timed a change up thrown beautifully by Hulk. Micky hit a double but did not score as The Bird grounded out.

7th - 9th Innings
7th Inning
Trailing by 3 runs, the Pois offense needed some fire. Leah got things started with a triple and scored when Calico hit a single. Micky then hit a double and Calico moved to 3rd.Hulk then hit a triple top record 2 RBIs. Ollie and Beaker were unable to keep the hit streak going. Co-Captain Kaji hit a double to score Hulk. Ginger recorded the 3rd out but the Pois took the lead 7-6. Quaker Jade opened with a fly out but Kiwi came right back with a solo HR to tie the game. Quincy and Photon drew walks from pitcher Hulk but scoring was cut short with outs by Polly and Waddles.

Score: Tied 7-7

8th Inning
Hal had the only hit for the Pois as Gizmo Cheyenne and Leah were all struck out. Sensing their chance, the Quaker offense got hot. Archimedes hit a single followed by a double by Cookie. Micky’s single scored Archimedes. The Bird grounded out to 2nd as Jade joined Cookie on the bases. Kiwi struck out swinging for the fences as Quincy hit a single which scored Cookie. Photon would then clear the bases with a HR into right filed. Polly was struck out to end the inning.

Score: Dragons 13, Pois 7

9th Inning
Could the Pois offense ignite? Hulk hit a single but the Pois hopes were quickly smashed by the defensive of the Dragons as Calico, Ollie and Beaker were all thrown out.

June 10 game with the Kevlar Keets
~TOP OF THE?FIRST INNING~?
First up?for the visiting Kevlar Keets is Bellatrix (don’t forget to vote for her as she is running for BOTM). Well, what do you know that little lady sure can hit a baseball…a HOME RUN to start the game. Well done Miss Bellatrix, girl power you know…Hawkface lets out a little snicker (+1). Willie strikes out as pitcher Quincy doesn’t want a repeat of that (-1). Jude flies out to Jade in right field (-2). Spirit Cloude hits a nice ground ball right into the glove of Cookie who throws it to Polly for the final out of their inning (-3).

~BOTTOM OF THE FIRST~?
?Pinch hitter George has his day at bat and he hits a long one that is out of here…HOME RUN which matches Bellatrix. (+1)Audie also pinch hitting doesn’t do as well as he grounds out to Bentley for the (-1). Pitcher Quincy strikes out (-2), Bellatrix was to much for him that time. Photon looks Bellatrix in the eye and dares her to strike him out. He waits for a pitch and he smacks that ball right towards the center field fence but is denied a home run when it hits the fence and falls to the ground but he does manage to get to third base which isn’t so bad. Polly is next to face Bellatrix and she ends up with a fly ball for the (-3).

~TOP OF THE SECOND INNING~
Budweiser ?waddles up to the plate and flies out to Kiwi (-1). Bentley tries to hit it right between Cookie and Waddles but fails when Cookie picks it up and makes the throw to Polly, (-2). Pearl can’t handle the pitches that Quincy is throwing and goes down when he throws that third strike. (-3).
Let’s see if the Quakers can do better than 3 up and 3 down.

~BOTTOM? OF THE SECOND INNING~

Waddles gets himself a single when the ball hits the ground just before Paddy can get to it but he does make a good throw to first to hold him there. Archimedes hits one over the right field fence and right over Miss Ronnie’s out stretched glove. HOME RUN for Archimedes and that scores Waddles as well.(+2). Cookie flies out (-1) but Micky get the second HOME RUN of this inning…(+1).The Bird grounds out (-2) and George strikes out (-3).

~TOP OF THE THIRD INNING~
Charlie ‘Keet gets a big hit and ends up running all the way to third...nice triple. Miss Ronnie strikes out(-1). Paddy (Cake) flies out to Archimedes.(-2). Oh, oh, here we go again? Bellatrix doesn’t let that happen as she hits a double sending Charlie on home for the score (+1). Willie doesn’t help any when he strikes out(-3)leaving Bellatrix standing on second base. At least they did get a run scored.

~BOTTOM OF THE THIRD INNING~

Audie hits the ball hard but not hard enough as Charlie ‘Keet manages to catch that one(-1). Quincy flies out as well(-2). Photon watches the pitches thrown by Bellatrix and doesn’t find one he likes so he walks. Polly finds a ball that she likes and hits the stuffin out of it for a HOME RUN folks that scores Photon and herself(+2). Waddles hits himself a double and Archimedes walks. Cookie singles to load the bases…there are already 2 out so can they add more to their lead? Let’s find out. Micky steps up to the plate looking desperately for that certain pitch but when he doesn’t find it he settles for a single that scores Waddles(+1). The Bird ends the inning with a strike out(-3) but the QLDs score 3 runs leaving 3 on base…

~TOP OF THE FOURTH?INNING~
Jude strikes out as he just could not connect on those fast and I mean fast balls thrown by Quincy(-1). Spirit Cloude grounds out to Archimedes who makes a great throw to Polly for the out(-2). Budweiser gets a triple and Bentley follows with a single. Pearl hit the ball and it is sailing right into the glove of The Bird(-3)leaving Budweiser and Bentley stranded on base. That's definitely not the way to do it...

~BOTTOM OF THE FOURTH?INNING~

George singles and so does Audie. Quincy grounds out to Bentley(-1). Photon flies out to Pearl(-2). Polly hits a triple scoring George and Audie(+2). Unfortunately, Waddles can’t keep the inning going when Bellatrix strikes him out(-3)

~TOP OF THE FIFTH INNING~
Charlie ‘Keet starts the inning off with a double. Miss Ronnie swings for all she is worth but was it worth it? YES, YES IT WAS…it is going, going, gone… and it is a HOME RUN for the little lady that scores Charlie ‘Keet and herself, of course+2). Great start to the inning here but can they keep up this pace?? Paddy flies out and Bellatrix strikes out(-2). Next up is their catcher, Willie, he connects with the ball and it is a good one…it goes over the center field fence for another HOME RUN(+1). Jude connects with the ball but it is a ground out to Waddles who almost trips over Cookie as he is going after the ball(-3) to end their inning but at least they managed some scoring this time so maybe the momentum is changing in their favor.

~BOTTOM OF THE FIFTH INNING~

Archimedes loves to hit the ball and he so he does for a HOME RUN(+1), he is enjoying his trip around the bases. But the next three batters don't fare nearly as well...Cookie strikes out, Mickey flies out, and The Bird strikes out so their inning is over.

Spirit Cloude singles. Budweiser grounds out to Polly who tags the bag for the out(-1). Bentley grounds out as well but to Cookie(-2). Pearl takes a walk, nice eye there girlfriend. Charlie ‘Keet grounds out (-3)to end their inning leaving Spirit Cloude and Pearl stranded on base...

~BOTTOM OF THE SIXTH INNING~

George is doing pretty well hitting today so maybe coach should be keeping his eye on this reserve and to prove me right he hits a double. Audie takes a walk, he is doing pretty good himself. Quincy finds the ball and smacks it out into center field for a triple, scoring George(+1)and Audie (+1). Photon flies out to Pearl (-1). Polly doubles to score Quincy (+1). Waddles flies out(-2)and Archimedes grounds out.(-3)

Miss Ronnie flies out(-1), not a good start in my humble opinion when you are trying to catch up to those mighty good Dragons. Paddy takes a count of 3/2, he waits and watches the third ball cross the plate…the umpire sends Paddy to first base with a walk.
Rosie yells at the ump...are you blind, that was a strike. Umpire needs new glasses.
Bellatrix singles, Willie singles, and Jude singles and that one sends Paddy on home(+1). Wanting to keep the inning going Spirit Cloude hits the ball and gets a good portion of it but grounds out to Kiwi(-2). Budweiser swings at a three balls thrown by Quincy but misses them all(-3.

The 'Keets add one to their score but they are quickly running out of innings...

~BOTTOM?OF THE SEVENTH?INNING~
Cookie hits a high ball and Miss Ronnie has her eye on it and gets under it just in time for it to land...plop, right into her glove for the out(-1). Micky gets enough of the ball and gets a single. The Bird walks to first sending Micky to second base. George keeps things going with a single so that the bases are now loaded...Opportunity is knocking, can the Keets keep the door closed on it? We are about to find out as Audie comes up to the plate. He hits his cleats with the bat and is ready to go, he catches the ball nice and clean it lands just in front of Charlie ‘Keet. Audie is running the bases and he is stopped at third. His triple sends Micky, The Bird, and George across home plate(+3). Quincy walks followed by a single by Photon. Polly flies out to Jade way out there in right field(-2). Waddles keeps looking for his ball but Bellatrix is not giving it to him, she is giving him nothing to hit, then he swings and misses for the last out(-3). Oh, he does not look happy...

8th and 9th inning
~TOP OF THE EIGHTH INNING~
Bentley starts the inning with a single, up next is Pearl who also gets a single…must be having a sale on those...Charlie ‘Keet walks and that means the bases are loaded…now this could be the start of something good for the Keets. Apparently, Miss Ronnie didn't hear me and strikes out(-1). Paddy takes all that Quincy has and with the count 3/2 he waits for that last ball to be thrown…Quincy winds up and lets it go right over the center of the plate but it is high so Paddy goes for a little walk moving his team mates around the bases until Bentley strolls home(+1). The bases are still loaded folks and there is only one out. ?Bellatrix singles sending Pearl on home(+1). The Keets are giving themselves a chance here folks this one ain’t over just yet. Willie grounds out but Jude hits one outta the park...it’s a HOME RUN scoring Charlie ‘Keet, Paddy, and Bellatrix(+4). Too bad that Spirit Cloude struck out to end their inning(-1). But still a great inning for the 'Keets they scored 6 runs.

~BOTTOM OF THE EIGHTH INNING~

Archimedes starts the inning out strong with a HOME RUN(+1). But Cookie strikes out(-1)Bellatrix seems to be on her game at least for right now. Micky hits a solid double, he is standing on second base cheering on The Bird to get him home. The Bird obliges and hits a triple sending Micky on home…he got his wish(+1). Quincy can’t deal with Bellatrix’s pitches and strikes out(-2). Photon grounds out to Bentley(-3).

TOP OF THE NINTH INNING~

Budweiser picks up his bat and takes a couple of practice swings. He steps up to the plate and readies himself for the first pitch. It crosses the plate for a strike, the next pitch suits him fine and he connects with it and it is flying high and long but not quite long enough as Micky leaps into the air and the ball lands in his mitt for the first out(-1). Bentley grounds out to Kiwi who makes the throw to first, for the second out(-2). Pearl hits a nice double and Charlie ‘Keet hits a single, maybe we have something going here? Miss Ronnie can’t find a ball to hit so she walks to first and we have the bases loaded. Paddy has the same result and walks to first forcing Pearl home for the first score of the inning (+1)and the bases are still loaded. Quincy better get it together, that’s two walks in a row and now he is facing Bellatrix, his counterpart. Quincy is still off and walks Bellatrix which forces Charlie ‘Keet across home plate (+1). The lead has been cut to only 4, the Keets aren't giving up, they are still fighting for this game. Willie is next up can he do it? No, he flies out to center field and The Bird makes the catch to end the inning and the game (-3).

Hi Coaches Polly and Cookie...
It's Micky. There is not much to do here this weekend. We wanted to get outside but it is another cook and rainy day. It is just like April here, so Mom said we can do some practicing in the birdroom for a while, but to be careful. I will be arriving at the stadium early, to warm up before the game. See you monday! Mom is very proud of my accomplishments this year. She is also very happy to finally have the time to be able to watch most of the games herself. See you tomorrow!

Micky is standing there, totally shocked.
He turns to his Mom and asks if he took his meds because he is shaking something awful. This is not the time for another seizure. He has not had one in a long time. Uhhhh... Ummmm... Mom these are my two baseball coaches, you met Cookie before and this is Polly. Micky turns to the two of them... *Me? I earned a medal?* he says in a shocked voice. *All I was doing is playing baseball the best I could and having fun and enjoying myself. WOW Thanks you two!!! I don't know what to say.* Micky's Mom is on top of it all and heads inside for a couple of minutes, and comes back with a tray of refreshments to celebrate - cold fruit slushes, and birdie granola bars. They all gather around the picnic table and enjoy the moment.

June 3 game 1st inning thru top of 2nd
~TOP OF THE FIRST INNING~
First up for the Quaker Little Dragons is their pitcher, Quincy, he flies out into the waiting glove of the Short Fielder, Punkin who throws it right back to her pitcher. Photon steps up and promptly hits a triple. Polly hoping to advance Punkin for a score but it was not to be...she grounds out for the second out of the inning. Poor Punkin is still left waiting on third with Gus watching her closely. Waddles steps up to the plate and hits a single. Next batter is Archimedes and he would like nothing better than to send Punkin and Waddles home for some scores...alright, here comes the first pitch from Pico...strike one, Archimedes didn't argue about that one, the next pitch is another strike right across the center of the plate. Okay now we have no balls and two outs...will Pico strike him out or will he get on base? Pico looks at hit catcher, Peekaboo who sends him a signal for a curve ball but Peekaboo shakes his head no...Peekaboo now sends a signal for a fast ball...Peekaboo likes this one. He winds up and throws the ball, Archimedes is watching the ball closely as it comes closer and closer he readies himself and he swings for all he is worth...he wants a home run...as he is swinging his bat the ball whizzes by him for his third strike and the final out of the inning....

~BOTTOM OF THE FIRST~
Pico grounds out to to Waddles who picks it up on the run and throws it to Polly on first for the first out. Peekaboo has a fire in his eyes and it was there for a reason as he smacks the first ball thrown by Quincy right over the left field fence...sailing right over Micky who never had a chance at it, nice HOME RUN. (+1), the WWs dugout is on their feet watching their catcher run the bases...Rocket hits a nice ball and gets a lot of it but not enough as The Bird runs under it for the catch and the second out. Boo Boo gets a piece of the ball but grounds out to end the inning.

Score at the end of the first: Quakers 0 and the WWs 1

~TOP OF THE SECOND INNING~
Cookie wastes no time hitting a nice triple. Micky follows with a single, The Bird grounds out to Rudy who gets it to Rocket for the first out but it does Micky move to second. Jade sees a pitch that he really likes and sends it way over the right field fence for a nice HOME RUN. (+3) Kiwi must have liked the look of that as she hits a HOME RUN of her own. (+1). Back to the top of the line up with Quincy up to bat but unfortunately he can't handle the pitches of the WW pitcher Pico and strikes out. Photon grounds out to end the inning but the Dragons put 4 runs on the scoreboard.

Gus is at the plate watching pitches go by but he can't seem to see one he likes yet..he had best hurry as the count is 3/2, here comes the final pitch and Gus walks to first...good eye there. Rudy doesn't waste any time and SMACK, it is a HOME RUN (+2). Rudy runs the bases and he waves up at the announcer's booth...(Rosie blushes). Indiana Sam strikes out, guess Quincy wants to stop the momentum. Prissy is having none of that and hits herself a double. Scion hits a single but Punkin follows with a fly out to short fielder, Kiwi. That makes two outs. Quincy returns the favor and strikes Pico out to end the inning. The WWs do manage to add 2 runs to the scoreboard.

~TOP OF THE THIRD INNING~
Polly grounds out to little Boo Boo who despite her smaller stature can really throw that ball to first and Rocket tags Polly out. Waddles manages a single and Archimedes walks. Both Cookie and Micky ground out to end their inning. Zero runs for the Dragons...

~BOTTOM OF THE THIRD INNING~
Peekaboo singles and Rocket grounds out to Cookie who makes a great throw to his first baseman, Polly for the out but at least Peekaboo makes it to second. Cute little Boo Boo hits a single. Gus flies out to Jade in right field...she had to move to get under that one, folks. Next up is Rudy but he doesn't help the cause any when he strikes out for the third out. Zero runs for the WWs

Here comes The Bird and he flies out. Jade takes a hefty swing and it pays off as she hits a triple. Kiwi grounds out to Indiana Sam who was playing in and he makes a great throw to Rocket for the second out. Quincy takes a walk, Photon singles bringing Jade home. (+1). Polly grounds out for the third out.
One run added to the Dragons score.

~TOP OF THE FIFTH INNING~
Waddles has a confidence in his step this inning, he swings and misses but boy if that had connected where oh where would it land. He swings at the next pitch and BAM it is a HOME RUN for Waddles (+1). While waiting for that right pitch, Archimedies strikes out. Cookie manages a single and so does Micky. The Bird grounds out moving Cookie to second and Micky to third. All Jade can manage is a fly ball caught by Gus for the third out. Zero Runs

~BOTTOM OF THE FIFTH INNING~
Pico steps up to the plate and takes a pitch...STRIKE says the Ump...Pico steps out of the batters box for a moment and then steps back in and SMACKS the ball and it is going, going gone right over the head of The Bird for a HOME RUN. (+1)Peekaboo falls prey to the pitching of Quincy and strikes out. Rocket finds a hole in the infield and gets on base with a single. The little bird with the big heart steps up to the plate and smashes a triple sending home Rocket (+1). Gus strikes out for two down. The handsome Rudy is in the batters box and steps up to the plate, he finds his rhythm and hits a triple bringing home Boo Boo. (+1). Nice hit Rudy! Indiana Sam gets a single which allows Rudy to come on home.(+1). Prissy grounds out to end the inning. Four runs added to the WWs score.

Kiwi strikes out. Quincy flies out to Mikey. Two out. Proton flies out to Jade to end their inning. Three up/Three down. Zero runs.

Scion strikes out. Punkin flies out to Rudy. Two down. Pico flies out to Indiana Sam to end the inning. Three up/Three down. Zero runs.

The Bird takes no prisoners and really SMACKS one out of the park for a HOME RUN scoring Cookie and Mikey (+3). Jade doesn't see a pitch to hit and ends up taking a walk to first. Kiwi singles moving Jade to second. Quincy doubles and Jade scores. (+1). Photon strikes out for the second out. Polly singles loading the bases. Waddles grounds out leaving the bases loaded.

This was a good inning for the Little Dragons who scored 6 runs.

~BOTTOM OF THE SEVENTH INNING~
Peekaboo triples and then Rocket grounds out. Boo Boo strikes out and then Gus gets up there and hits a HOME RUN scoring Peekaboo (+2). Next up in the line up is Rudy who strikes out to end the inning. The WWs score two runs.

8th & 9th innings
~TOP OF THE EIGHTH INNING~
Archimedes steps right up and thinks he can get the inning going but it is not to be as he strikes out. Cookie singles, Micky and The Bird walk loading the bases. This could be another good start for the Little Dragons. Lets watch and see what Jade can do...Jade singles and that means Cookie gets to stroll across home base for a score (+1). Kiwi hits a triple and a slew of Dragons walks over home plate for three more runs (+3). Kiwi is standing on third waiting for a birdie to help him get home. Quincy strikes out for the second out. Pico seems to be getting a little tired and he walks the next four players (Photon, Polly, Waddles, and Archimedes). Kiwi runs home for another score...(+1) are the Dragons on a roll again? When Archimedes walks that sends Photon home (+1). Pico finally gets his act together and strikes out Cookie for the third out. Six runs for the Dragons for the second time.

~BOTTOM OF THE EIGHTH INNING~
Indiana Sam starts the inning off with a double and Prissy takes a walk. Good start for the WWs. Scion hits the ball but it lands right into Kiwi's glove for their first out. The WWs need to get going and have a good inning if they plan on winning this game...Punkin hits a HOME RUN scoring Indiana Sam and Prissy. (+3). Now that's the way it's done. The next batter up is Pico and he hits the ball and it is going, going towards the center field fence where The Bird is watching the ball...he times his leap just right and he catches the ball denying Pico his home run. That's now two out. Peekaboo doubles but Rocket grounds out leaving Peekaboo stranded at second. WWs add three more to their score.
Score at the end of the eighth: Quakers 17 and the WWs 12
One more inning...the WWs are down by 5 can they come back, we are about to find out...

~TOP OF THE NINETH INNING~
Micky is up first for the Little Dragons and he hits a triple. The Bird is up next but he flies out to Punkin for the first out. Jade gets a double and that sends Micky home (+1). The Dragons want to increase that lead of theirs don't they? Kiwi strikes out and then Quincy grounds out to that handsome pink bird playing short stop to end the inning.

Well, it is all up to the BC Wonder Wings...I wonder if they can pull this one out...they are down 6 runs but that is not insurmountable...

~BOTTOM OF THE NINETH INNING~
Up first for the WWs is Boo Boo, Quincy seems to be a little nervous starting out this inning and he walks the cute little Blue Jay, Boo Boo. Gus hits a boomer over the head of Short Stop Cookie but into the waiting glove of The Bird for the first out. Gotta do better than that my friends. Rudy does almost the same thing as Gus...he flies out into the outstretched wing of Jade for the second out. Oh, oh, things are not looking good for the WWs. Sorry, now its way out of order but
here is the FIFTH INNING against the Mighty Macaws.
~~~ 5th INNING ~~~
It’s SCARLET of the Mighty Macaws to the plate. She has no problem connecting for a single.

Next up, RANEBEAU, but his connect pops up off the dirt and right into QLD short stop Cookie for OUT #1. Good hustle anyway, RaneBeau.

FLOOP’s grounder becomes OUT #2 but Scarlet’s moved to 2nd base.

When CHICA swings, she means business. Look at the ball go! She’s around t’second and Scarlet’s made it home! (+1)

But awwww, that’s all the farther they’re gonna make it. A fly ball’s easy pickings for QLD Jade in right field.

The Macaw’s edge it up one.

Review of the May 23 game
ALRIGHTY THEN, LET’S DO THIS!
Mighty Macaws, get your bats ready!

Its’ SKY to the plate and he wastes no time taking a swing at the ball. And WHOOZA! It’s a HOME RUN right off the bat! (+1) That’s a mighty fine start right there for the big team.
Next up, SCARLET. She’s smacked it right in between center and left which gives her plenty of time to make it around to second base.
And now it’s RANEBEAU at bat. He swings, he connects but oops, it’s a grounder right to Dragon Polly on first. Easy out. [-1] Runner’s still on second.
FLOOP, he’s looking for the pitch, got that bat up high. SCHWING! That’s a HOMER for sure! Scarlet and Floop add (+2) to the scoreboard.
It’s a triple for CHICA but a fly out [-2] and a strike out [-3] leave her stranded oh so close to home.
~~ ~~ ~~ ~~
For the Dragons, it’s QUINCY. A couple of warm up swings and now he’s stepping up to the plate. KaPLOW! There’s a HOME RUN for the Quakers to start their turn at bat! (+1)
A grounder’s scooped up by Chica at third and whipped over to RaneBeau on 1st for the first out. [-1]
POLLY chips out a single,
WADDLES clubs out a double and we’ve got birds on third and second. One out.
ARCHIMEDES, he swings and misses the first pitch, then lets one go by, but here we go, he’s stepping into it... and it’s around to third he goes as Polly and then Waddles cross home plate for (+2) for the board.
A grounder to MM Floop gets the second out [-2] but MICKY, he gets to second on a whale of a hit which brings Archimedes on in home. (+1). Micky’s left on base though after a high flyer lands in MM Chyna’s mitt. [-3]

A ground out makes it two outs. [-2]

SKY, he singles but a strike out makes it 3 outs, and the top of the 2nd is done.

The Dragons send out JADE who gets a walk to first.

KIWI joins her with a walk of her own. Birds on 2nd and 1st...

We’re back around to QUINCY and he clubs out a triple, scoring Jade and Kiwi. (+2)

Two fly balls, one brought down by left fielder Jake, the other snagged by Joshua at short field put 2 OUTS on the counter against the Dragons. [-2]

WADDLES does anything but when he hustles to first on a bunt. Oh wait, the ball’s gotten loose... and Quincy slides in over home plate for the run!! That green bird’s looking a little bit dusty after that smooth move! (+1)

Another grounder and it’s 3 OUTS for the bottom of the 2nd.

The Dragons add 3 to their score.

The Quakers made THAT look easy.

and just when you thought it was going to be a ditto of the first half,
The BIRD smashes out a HOME RUN!!!! (+1)

But a ground out makes it 3 outs, and you’re outta here, Little Dragons!

The Macaws start out with a hard hit down the 3rd base line but Archimedes stops it and gets the ball to Polly in time for the first OUT. [-1]

A second grounder is snatched up by QLD Polly for the second out. [-2]

Next up, Home Run CHYNA who makes it to second this time on a smack into the gap.

BIG BABY, she doubles, bringing Chyna in home (+1) but is denied the privilege herself after a fly ball drops into QLD The Bird’s mitt. [-3]

The Mighty birds have brought their score up to 7...

We’re in the bottom of the 4th and the Quakers are likely looking to widen that run gap again. A fly OUT for starters isn’t going to do that. [-1]

A grounder’s not going to either. [-2]

PHOTON though, he bashes one out a double

POLLY slugs herself a single which puts birds on 3/1.

WADDLES, he’s got patience. He’s waiting, waiting... and he takes the walk which makes it BASES LOADED.

Up next, Archimedes. He lays into the swing with dragon-like power and mangles the ball for a triple!! Photon, Polly and Waddles all cross home plate, adding (+3) to the run count.

With Archimedes on third, COOKIE’s double adds another to the score (+1).

A single from MICKY makes it bird on 1st and 3rd. Two OUTS....

The BIRD drives one right past MM pitcher Sky’s head and on past MM 2nd baser, Floop to score Cookie and put a Dragon on 2/1.

JADE picks her bat, picks her pitch and makes the hit a HOME RUN!!!!

Micky, The Bird and Jade cross the home base to add (+3) to the screaming Quaker’s score.

Apparently MM pitcher Sky’s had about enough of this; he puts three in over the plate that no birdie could hit! Strike out; 3rd OUT. But the Quakers add 8 to the board!

Mighty Macaw Coach JAKE steps to the plate and hammers out a single.

CHYNA does the same. Birds on 1st and 2nd now.

BIG BABY plows the pitch for a WHOPPER of a hit! She’s to first - the ball’s still rolling across the grass, she’s to second ... QLD Kiwi and Jade are trying their best to get that thing under control, BIG BABY’s to third before Jade whips the ball to the pitcher’s mound. MM Jake and Chyna have scored. (+2) MMs now have 10.

JOSH creams the ball for another double, bringing Big Baby in home. (+1) MMs are at 11 now.

SKY lays into his swing with the power of Greenwing and earns himself a triple, scoring Josh in the process. (+1) That’s 12.

Another huge hit lands in the mitt of left fielder Micky for the first OUT of the inning.

It’s RANEBEAU to the plate. His stance makes the strike zone a tough target and he earns himself a freebie to first. Sky advances to 3rd.

And next, FLOOP. He belts one into right field and makes it to first, no problem. Sky comes in home on the play. (+1) Make that a 13 for the Mighties.

QLD Archimedes makes a shoestring catch on a grounder for the 2nd OUT.

MALACHITE eyes the pitcher, then eyes the ball, watching it rocket towards her. WHOA! She just air-mailed that baby OUT OF THE PARK! HOME RUN for Malachite! RaneBeau, Floop and Mal tally up (+3) more for the MMs. The big birds are at 16!! They’ve got to be feeling better now.

JAKE gets a free pass to the first bag but three strikes on the next batter make it 3 OUTS.

The Quaker Little Dragons head to the dugout. WADDLES heads for the batter’s box. He smacks out a triple. The macaws are probably glad the bases weren’t loaded up for that one.

MM pitcher Sky throws in three nasty screwballs and gets the first OUT in the bottom of the 6th.

COOKIE hammers the pitch and beats the ball to first while Waddles, he crosses home plate. (+1)

It’s a swing and a miss, a swing and a miss and well, you know... OUT #2. Cookie’s still on first. THE BIRD gets the walk making it birds on first and second, but a grounder, scooped up Chica for the touch to third makes it 3 OUTS.

The Dragons add one to their side of the board.

I’m betting the Macaws really want to hold these Dragons...

POLLY punches one out for a double, bringing Kiwi in home. (+1)

WADDLES single makes it birds on 1/3.

ARCHIMEDES swings and misses the first pitch. Anxious to bring in his teammates, he swings and misses a second time. The count’s oh and two. There’s no missing this third one; Archimedes connects for a WHOOPER of a hit; he triples, bringing in Polly and Waddles for (+2).

COOKIE waits for the perfect pitch, see it and swings — she’s around to second and Archimedes is over home plate before the MMs can get to the ball.

A grounder to MM short fielder Joshua Chico gets the 3rd OUT when he touches first base before the runner.

Okay, we’ve got FLOOP at the plate. He’s pointing the bat at center field and smiling. What’s he up to? CuuuuRACK!!! It’s out there! But he’s held up at third, but he’s seems fine with that. Scarlet has crossed home plate. (+1)

Floop scores on CHICA’s smooth-hit single. (+1)

MALACHITE joins Chica on the bases with a walk We’ve got birds on 1st and 2nd.

A hard-hit ‘chopper’ is fielded for the OUT at first but Chica and Malachite advance to 2nd and 3rd base.

Next up, Miss CHYNA. She’s taking a couple of practice swings. She looks ready. It’s a swing and a HIT!
Chica crossed home plate and Malachite’s not far behind. Chyna’s held up at 2nd but she looks happy with the (+2) added to the Macaw’s board.

The top of the 8th’s done with though when a hard hit ball is stopped dead by an instinctive mitt up on the mound; smooth move there Quincy!

The Mighty Macaws are down just one run now.

Bottom of the 8th... it’s a grounder for openers and we have our 1st OUT.

JADE steps to the plate and plants the ball mid-field, giving her enough time to make it all the way to second. But it looks like that’s all the farther she’s going to make it; an infield play makes for an out at first and Pitcher Sky gets three strikes for the 3rd OUT.

Game day! Squawk! Go Quakers!
Morning team! Archimedes here! I'm perched on Mom's shoulder and ready to go! I've brought pellets and berries for the whole team!
Mom has to babysit her nephew this afternoon, he's such a cutie.. barely a year old! I'll be at the game with my brother, Andy, and Mom will most likely be chasing a little one around the bleachers!

Have fun every birdie! Let's show those Macaws just how fiery us little green dragons are! :)

Chez and Quincy
cook up a big breakfast of eggies, oatmeal, almond milk, fruit and (at Quincy's special request) Nutriberries to get ready for today's game. A light lunch later just before they leave for the field but breakfast is HUGE and delish!!

Both birds eat and squawk and giggle with oatmeal all over their beaks. . .

Nice to meet everyone! I'm a little green gremlin named Archimedes. I am three years old! My hobbies include, making kissing noises and laughing with my Mommy, playing, and eating lots of yummy treats! I enjoy performing tricks for my Mommy during our daily training sessions.
