After mom and dad got Tango, my Citron-Crested Cockatoo sister, they wanted another parrot so they came to look at Marc Marrone's birds again. I cried and wailed and stepped over the other greys to get them to see me. That was it. They were sold. I had them.
I could barely walk and had very few feathers. I had to come home in an aquarium tank and mom and dad hand-fed me for a few weeks.

Next came Bumbles,a Rose-Breasted Cockatoo, who was rescued from a man who couldn't bring Bumbles with him to his new condo in Florida. You can see pictures of him below, with me. He now lives with Dad. I miss him a lot but he is happy and I get to see him sometimes.

Mom strongly encourages people to get a rescue bird. So many abandoned birds need a home with someone who will give them tons of love and care. And they have so much to give in return!

Hi! My name is Kahlua--Vote Cori BOTM 162513

I am an African Grey from Wappingers Falls, NY.

Lu, Lu-Lu Bird, Louie, Grey-Grey (she gave herself), Beautiful

9 years old   F

African Grey

Sun Seed Sesame Rounds (but only the peanut ones and only the peanut inside), anything mom eats (although I don't get everything I want), Chex cereal, cashews, pine nuts, almonds, and walnuts. I like apples and grapes and blueberries too. I try to drink the juice out of the grapes! I would eat candy, like jelly beans or Skittles if only mom would let me. I don't understand why I can't have those things!

I love to sit on the chair or a pillow next to mom, on her knee when she reads, under a blanket when I'm tired, my green curvy perch, and on mom's laptop while she works. Of course I like to be in the highest place I can be. I love rope swings too and spiral hanging ropes but our apartment ceiling where we live now doesn't hold any type of hook. The ceiling just crumbles and the rope falls down. :-(

I hate loud or unfamiliar noises and I try to hide under the table, bed, or even a pillow.

I shake my head if I don't like something -- a song, a noise, a TV show. I'll keep shaking until it stops.

I like to cuddle on mom's chest at a certain time of night and will intentionally try to disrupt any activity she's doing if it gets too late.

I hate to see myself on video shake my head to "no" to tell mom to turn it off.

Also I will not do stuff in front of the camera. I will stop whatever I'm doing. Mom has to hide the camera to get me on video.

I don't like the word "bye" or "good-bye". I refuse to say it or acknowledge it if someone says it to me. When mom goes out and I have to go to my cage, I go on one of my perches and I sulk. I won't play or do anything until mom comes back home.

I am not happy that mom and dad are not together anymore. Dad has my old friend, Bumbles, the Rose-Breasted Cockatoos you see in my photos, and the parakeets. Bumbles was my partner in crime. He was adopted by mom and dad and he got in lots of trouble all the time. He used to teach me all these bad habits!

Mom acts silly and sings and dances with me.
She buys me my favorite treats and cuddles with me on my own terms.

She teaches me cool words and phrases and songs.

She bought me fish to watch swim when she isn't home.

She laughs at me and let's
me watch my favorite TV shows.

She knows I don't like to be pet all the the time so she shakes my hand and gives me high-fives.

She lets me "help" her around the house. She tells me how much she loves me.

I love to bite my nails.

I shake my head from side to side before I eat a piece of food.

I want you to rub my head but then I pull away.

I have to be with mom all the time, but don't want to be pet. I just want to sit close. I also have to be with mom anywhere she goes in the house -- not because I don't want to be alone but because I want to know what's going on.

I know when mom is about to cry and I make the same crying noises too.

And I laugh and cry while watching TV shows before the audience even gets a chance to laugh.

I love Judge Judy and will do the intro song to Judge Judy at 4pm if mom doesn't have it on when she's home. Mom thinks I probably do it even when she isn't here!

I'll also do the PC Richards Jingle at 4PM because they used to sponsor the time and temperature message that came on right before Judge Judy. I do that jingle all the time too.

I used to do the Jeopardy jingle at exactly 7pm when mom used to watch that.

I like to "help" feed the fish mom got. If she doesn't feed them at the right time, I go to the end of the bed and bop my head "yes" and call to mom to remind her it's time.

I love to imitate the noise they use to bleep out bad words on TV programs.

I hate pooping in my cage. I will hold it in all night until I get up and out of my cage in the morning. During the day, I like to go in Tango's cage. Why mess up my cage?

Sometimes, when I see a picture of my old friend, Bumbles, or if he comes to see me, which is not often, I often start doing all those things I'm not supposed to do that Bumbles taught me.
.

I'm a cool grey! (I taught myself that phrase.).

  Hi ya Kahlua~
I hope you are having a great day! Absolutely nothing of interest going on in my world but I did want to come by and say hello!
We have been doing more spring cleaning this week and it's really not very exciting at all!! Mom scrubbed the sliding glass door and the screen! It's so bright and pretty and I have an excellent view of the flags out in front of the complex! It's always windy around here so they are always flapping! They have red tulips on the flags and I enjoy watching them wave in the wind!
I hope you are enjoying your day and that window cleaning is not the most exciting thing going on in your life! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  Hello Kahlua~
I hope you are having a great day! It's very pretty here! A real spring day!
Mom was off last night and she'll be off again on Friday. She couldn't get two days off in a row this week because there is too much work. It's clearance week plus they added a special weekend ad. The store is having it's Fuschia event this weekend so there will be special sales to go along with it. It's an annual event and everyone looks forward to it. They have geranium and fuschia starts for sale and if you bring your own pot the garden staff will plant them for you. Hanging baskets are a big thing up here so by next week you will be seeing them everywhere.
I have spent the morning trying to keep Merlin away from mom! He had his outside on the balcony time and play with the ribbon time but he is trying to butt into my climb on mom time! I told him he needs to go grab a nap until I'm ready for my apple and then he can jump up on the computer desk again!
We hope grandpa and your mom are both well! We pray for them every single day!
Enjoy the day and I do hope it's a spectacular day!

  Hello Kahlua~
I hope you had a wonderful day! Happy Last day of winter! Spring will be here tomorrow even if the weather outside doesn't look like it. We had some really nice sun breaks today but some really big downpours also! The downpours seem to happen when mom had to take the dog out or go to the market! She seems to be a rain magnet!hahahaha
Mom was off last night and tonight too. She is usually off on Thursday and Friday nights but the store she works at is having a big sale for Friday and Saturday so mom has to be there on Thursday night to get it set up. On Friday she will be helping with freight since most of the freight crew will be off. They did inventory on Tuesday so the schedules got changed.
Mom got us a lovely white cake with spring sprinkles on it to celebrate the coming of spring! Mom likes to celebrate everything. It was yummy and the cat even had a bit of it! He's not a normal cat you know!hehehehehe
Happy spring to you all and I hope it's a wonderful season for us all!

  Hello Kahlua~
I hope you are having a great day! Spring has sprung up here. We have had a bit of rain but the temps have been near 60 and the cotton wood trees are bright pink and the frogs are delivering me joyous noise every single night! Now normally I don't really like hearing those hundreds of frogs but since they are announcing spring, I will put up with them!
Mom went out to the market for a while and she is going to hit the library soon. New books for Sugar! YAY!!! We will get some dinner done and then I hope we can have more popcorn and watch another movie.
How is your mom's head? Is it all better now! Mom was thinking how many sports you have to wear helmets for now but not ice skating. I suppose it would probably be difficult to skate in a helmet.
You enjoy your evening! I hope it's just perfect! We think about you guys every single day and keep you in our prayers too!!

Why won't mom let you have the dresser--sounds like its your destroy toy. Sometimes I just don't understand parronts.
The "nice" vet called mom yesterday and told her NO more calculator paper, no TREATS, and leave the collar on for another week. He thinks the calculator paper was for nesting material, I need to not eat too much or I'll want to make eggs, and BECAUSE I'm eggzibiting hormonal behavior, I need to keep the collar on. Depressing. Subzero temps tonight to top it off.

we are going to try this again tonight - only this time wopen up windows for the fresh air !

Mom says that's a great idea - the moms getting together again ! It'll be easier too once the days are longer and the weather nicer. Spring break has turned into a long weekend because of the snow days that need to be made up :( Going to be a long spring at school !

You be good buddy ! We'll squawk with you soon :) love Cookie and mome'll copy before we hit "Add Comment" just in case the squawk-a-tiels are out and hungry for a blog or two . . .

Can you believe winter is coming back for tomorrow ? YUCK ! I think we should get together and hunt down mother nature - what ? The last couple days were just a tease ?

How's mom doing with her work ? Did her head bump go down ? I bet now that the ice pack disappeared, you and Tango are able to keep her spirits up ! I can always de-stress mom when she has one of THOSE days at school ! A few head skritches here, a nuzzle under her chin there and voila !

We're finally getting used to the time changes - of course mom is having a hard time getting ready for school in the dark - but I'm really enjoying staying up later ! If only it were nicer out - mom would love to

  Hi Kahlua
Gene is mom's friend who lives in Munich. He comes to the states 3 or 4 times a year, and usually stays with mom for a week or so. He also has other friends he stays with while he is here.
I hope mom is doing a lot better, and has found health care at an affordable price. Mom's granddaughter found a great plan on the healthcare.gov website which includes dental, and the price is reasonable. The other granddaughter couldn't find anything she can reliably afford each month, since she's an artist and does hair. Her income is not predictable and she's afraid to commit to any plan right now. Mom is still hoping she changes her mind, but she's stubborn.
Mom's cold is still here, so we're pretty much in lockdown. We are not near her nose or mouth (or hands, for that matter).
Today at the center, mom took care of a screech owl, a couple of pigeons (one of which needs a home, it's a fancy tailed white bird), the possums in the mammal nursery (who are not babies, but need the quiet in there to recover), and a turtle. When she finished the animal care part of the day, the staff told her to go home and get better.
Mom has an eye appointment today, so we hope the weird weather will not be too severe. It's supposed to rain until noon or so, then change over to snow! We are expecting 2 to 4 inches which really bites big time! It's gone on far too long with the winter weather, we think. Tomorrow mom has 2 tours at the museum, so she'll have to shovel the driveway one more time.
I hope you are having a good day and getting lots of love. Hugs, Falco

  Hi, Kahlua
Our mom has heard of Etsy, but doesn't know a lot about it. Perhaps one day when she is retired that might be something to do as a hobby. She really just knits for the pure pleasure of it all. Think mom has an ebook about Etsy on her Kindle that she can read to get more info.

Anyone who has ever made anything would know how much better a handmade gift is. No matter if it isn't perfect, it comes with love and that is more important than anything. However, she cannot take credit for the 'tiel family. They are crocheted and she bought 'em from a parront (Aunt Irene) of a bird (Jivu, #28020) here on BC. She does mostly birds and if you go to Jivu's page there might be others in the gallery. Know that others bought from her too. The hedgehog mom knit, but she doesn't really do animals.

Gosh, paint-by-number, haven't thought of those in ages. Our mom used to do those as a kid and quite fun, eggspecially to one who has poor painting skills. Our mom can't sew either. (Very embarrassing as both gmas sew.) Perhaps one day she'll take a class as she has a sewing machine.

  Hi Kahlua
Well, we are sure sick of the weather. We haven't seen the ground since before Halloween! Don't like the cold either!!! We get our stats from the local weather reports. A week ago we were up to 176 inches for the season (that's a lot). The record is 183, hope we don't break that record. Sorry, I haven't heard of that weather lady and we watch the today show in the morning.
After yesterday’s lovely weather, we are going cold again. Today was 38 (for a minute) and cloudy. Tomorrow our high will be 13 and a low of -8! Did I miss spring and summer????

  Hi Kahlua
I hope mom is feeling a bit better each day, so she heals from that nasty ice injury. I also hope that Tango is soon her cuddle buddy again. Mom is like yours, she's only cooking because there's a house guest. Otherwise she does boring meals, because of cooking for one. Too bad we don't live closer, right?
If you haven't seen the movie 12 Years a Slave, it's good, but pretty intense.
We(the Lakers) lost last night, so congratulations to the Warriors on a game well played. The next one is tomorrow, I think.
Just when we thought it was done, we just heard there will be another snow tomorrow night! All the old snow is just about gone, though, so roads should be okay.
Mom cleaned up a little outside today, swept up birdseed hulls, cleaned after the dogs, that kind of thing. She still has to clean flowerpots, but that can wait a month or so, and the yard will get done as the weather warms up, if it ever does.
Mom was going to go to water aerobics today, but she has contracted a cold, of all things! She probably got it from one of the little ones the other day.She doesn't want to share it, so she's staying home all day. The problem is she doesn't want to share it with us either, so we may be in lockdown today.
Nothing else is new, except Gene took mom out for dinner last night, to the Thai restaurant, so they both ate well. I hope you are having a wonderful warm day and that spring will come your way soon. Hugs, Falco

  Hi, Kahlua
Yeah, those with pets really don't have time to be negative when they need to feed, water and clean 'em daily. Just looking at our cute faces (or watch our antics) would make anyone feel better anyway.

Mom hasn't actively tried to sell any of her creations. Dad says she should, but doubt she will. Whenever there's a new baby or wedding or such then she gives out the washclothes, hotpads, hats, etc as gifts. If you'd like one let us know and we'll work something out. She's got lots of patterns for washcloths. We're on the BC directory if you want to send an email.

Do you mean how deep the snow is? I know you get snow in Dutchess Co NY! My mom had some family in Rhinebeck (and Danbury CT). This corner of the lower peninsula of MI gets hit hard. Not every where in MI is it this deep ... except the U.P. ... it's much worse!
I was outside today, finally warmed up. We are also starting to melt ... FINALLY!!! Haven't seen the ground since before Halloween!
We had 40 degrees today! I was even outside for a second. I looked around and didn’t see the patio furniture … and why was that white stuff still there? We also broke a record … The old record of ice coverage on the Great Lakes was 93.1% and today it was 93.2%. Now, it’s time for winter to go away.

  Hi Kahlua
Mom had 2 pre-scheduled tours today, which is unusual for a Sunday. The first group was a group of new hires at Heinz, and they were there for a sampler in natural history and art. Mom did only the natural history portion, however. They were interested and fun to take around. The second group was a birthday party of 4 year olds, kind of like herding cats and talking to goldfish. They were scheduled for an hour, but mom talked the birthday boy's mom into letting the kids' attention span decide the length of the tour. Mom's group lasted about 45 minutes.
With the time change, mom slept until nearly 8 this morning. That's surprising, because she's usually up and about by 7ish. With her friend Gene(from Munich) staying here, she had to cook breakfast too, so the dogs got a later walk, but we were fed first as usual. Mom doesn't care who stays here, we come first every time. She's now making some bean soup with ham for dinner, using up the ham they didn't consume at breakfast. It should turn out okay.
Polly is improving day to day, so we think she'll be ready for her next surgery in a month. Mom's nephew, who was in a serious car accident last week, may be released from the hospital tomorrow. Mom's daughter and son in law were t-boned by a car Friday night, but they escaped without injuries. The car is another story, but as mom says, it's a thing, insured, and replaceable.
Hope you are having a good day and getting lots of love today. Hugs, Falco

  Hi, Kahlua
Years ago the parronts house hunted. Didn't find anything they liked in their price range or the location was bad. Couple years later a family friend discovered a house near gma that was going into foreclosure. So they worked with the realtor and bought it. Needed lots of TLC, but sure wouldn't be able to buy it now as prices everywhere are so high. They weren't looking and it found 'em. Not big on Star Wars, but didn't Yoda say something like, there is no try, there is just do? Always be positive.

Check out mom's newest knit creations. She labeled 'em so birdies would know what they were. Should've taken a pic of the knit hat she made. These items are all for skinsis baby which should arrive sometime in July.

We are having temps in the low 20's for a high. But, next week, we might get one day of 36 degrees! I have my beach chair, shades and sunblock ready!~. They say it will be a long long melt with a colder than normal temps for spring and summer.
We had another cold but sunny day with no snow! I guess the outside animals are getting tired of it too. We had blue jays, squirrels, possum and a little chipmunk come to the patio door. My dad dug out a walkway thru the snow and the animals are using it … how cute is that?

  Hi ya Kahlua~
I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm getting some computer time this morning! It's been way to busy around here lately and I just don't like it!
Yesterday we took a break in the morning and watched Catching Fire. I really like it! Lots of action and you know I love action movies!
Today we are getting a bit of cooking done and getting mom ready to start her work week. She is going in an hour early tonight since I have been told we are losing an hour tonight! I really don't see any reason that the time has to change! It seems to be working just fine the way it is!
Mom went to Petco to get my Higgins Sunburst and they are out of it again! They say the warehouse is out of it so there is nothing they can do. She got me some Higgins Safflower Gold and it sort of looks and smells the same to me. There are no sunflower seeds in it but that is okay with me! It's only part of what I eat everyday so as long as she keeps a big supply of apples I will be a happy zon!
Spring is inching ever closer and that is making the frog outside my window go crazy! It started with just a few of them but last night it sounded like there were about a thousand of them out there! As long as they are here to announce spring I suppose I can put up with them!
I do hope you enjoy your day! Leaving a vote and a big hug as I waddle off!

male birds sing in the morning to appear more macho and by delivering a lusty dawn chorus he sends out the message he is full of energy and raring to go. blackbirds and song thrushes can do this more than 1-1/2 hours before chaffinches and blue tits. scientists have discovered that the bigger the birds eyes the sooner in the morning it strikes up its song. their singing not only determines their territory but attracts mates and also predators like owls. with their hearing out of action while they warble they must be able to rely on heir eyes to see attacks coming. those birds with smaller eyes need extra sunlight to be sure of their safety. birds pass on songs from generation to generation. fathers pass on their repertoire of chirps and tweets to their sons and mothers give theirs to their daughters. female songbirds learn their songs at a much faster rate than the males do (who didn't know that one). a female cardinal learned her selection of music in one third the time it took her male sibling to learn the exact songs. females are attracted to the male with the largest and loudest songs so those males really have to work it.male birds that imitate other songbirds songs like the mockingbirds, the mynah and the australian
lyrebird are very attractive to the female because they feel if the male knows so much about the other birds songs it must also know where they keep their food
supplies..
tomorrow we will continue along this same vein of thought

HAPPY TGIF DAY

  Happy Humpday Kahlua !
Mom thought she'd drop a quick hello before leaving this morning - next week will be tough again, getting ready for school in the dark - yuck ! But at least it will be lighter in the evenings, so maybe she'll stay awake a little later. Me too !

This morning's 24 degrees felt downright balmy when the back door opened to feed the wild birds out on the deck ! That tells you spring must be coming soon ! Mom even saw a robin or two over near school . . . And it's supposed to hit 40's by the weekend :) hip hip hooray ! Right now it looks like spring break may only be a long weekend - maybe Fri, Mon, Tues.

How's mom doing with her work ? Even though we're not by often, we are thinking about all of you and wishing only the best ! Did mom start apt. hunting yet ? The lease is up, when ? May ? June ? My wings and mom's fingers are crossed for all of you :)

Have a good day my friend ! love Cookie and mom

  Hi Kahlua
Mom remembers reading, ?in BirdTalk? about a MN grey seeing snow for the very first time. That bird said "popcorn?"
It is funny what words and sounds we like. It took a long time for the skins to figure out one of my noises is snoring.
Glad the snow passed you by also. just enough to 'freshen' the old stuff.

  Hi Kahlua
Okay, next time one of the online mags arrives, we'll forward it to you. Mom likes Birds and Blooms too, more for the gardening and the pictures.
It's going to warm up into the high 30s and maybe some 40s this week, so we hope that Sunday's storm was the dying gasp of winter's grip.
When mom took the girls out to walk today, Polly made it around the whole block. Then when she got home, she followed mom into the basement, going down the stairs. Mom carried her back up, though. Today Polly goes to get her stitches out, so maybe she won't have to wear that silly hat any more. I've been merciless with mom, biting her every chance I get. She thinks it's because she's paying more attention to Polly or because Polly looks funny with her cone head. She hopes it stops soon, though, because she's been pretty bruised for a week now. The boys are still their sweet selves, so mom thinks that I'm just more spoiled. What do you think?
At any rate, it's going to be a good day, snow melting, Polly getting stitches out, and things slowly returning to normal. Mom might find out about the need for a second surgery today, when the doctor looks at both of Polly's legs. We'll let everybirdie know. Hope you are having a good day, getting lots of hugs. Hugs from me, too, Falco

  Hi, Kahlua
It is best to just listen to the negative (if no other choice) and then immediately let it go, never dwell on it. Must always be positive and look on the bright side of things. Think that pets really do make a big difference in people's lives. No matter what else is going on the fid (or fur) needs must be met daily and just having that routine helps keep all things in perspective. Your mom should be proud of herself.

Hopefully your mom's friend will help narrow down some new places to live.

Really isn't great to work so hard without pay. No one wants to be taken advantage of or be undervalued for their contributions to the job. Wings crossed the eggtra $$ start to come in as that'll alleviate some of the stress be it from the job or any writing she is able to do. (Don't worry you can vent to us anytime. Another reason we love BC so much and all the parronts and fids on it.)

Got a tad bit of rain here, but we need lots more. Hopefully our next storm is another drencher to help bring our totals up.

Have a greyt day, wing hugs, beak kisses and a vote, Pearl and Silver.

  Hi Kahlua
Oh good, you are in the founding feathers, me too.
I haven't heard of many getting hit hard with this last snow storm. But, I bet we will all get hit good one more time. I sure don't like the sound of the snow and ice falling off our metal roof ... way too loud for me!
We are still getting the negative double digits up here!
We had another sunny but bitter cold afternoon today. Because the Great Lakes are 90% covered in ice, we will have a cold spring. It will be a long melt for us. I’m keeping my leg warmers on!
Hugs

  HI KAHLUA
Boo Boo holds up her wings before Cori gives her talk. she implores every birdie to please not take pictures of Cori using any type of flash because bright lights scare Cori.
The United Nations has declared today as World Wildlife Day, coinciding with the signing of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in Washington, D.C. on March 3, 1973.
World Wildlife Day provides a strong opportunity for the global conservation community to speak with a unified voice and declare that there is no excuse for the indiscriminate killing, selling, or captivity of wild animals.
march 3rd. todays topic WORDS FROM BIRDS:
1) BIRD IN THE HAND IS WORTH TWO IN THE BUSH: better to cherish what we have than to look longingly at things that are beyond our reach
2) LIKE WATER OFF OF A DUCKS BACK: Let everyday annoyances leave us as quickly as water slides off the well oiled feathers of a duck
3) BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER: most of the time time. even in winter when large gatherings of flocks of ducks and geese are visible most stay in groups of their own species.
4) EAGLE-EYED: self explanatory
5) EATS LIKE A BIRD: if you did you would be very obese since most birds consume up to 20 percent of their body weight daily
6) HAPPY AS A LARK: refers to the birds exuberant song flight. larks have bad days
when troubles come home to roost gong them 7) SOMETHING TO GROUSE ABOUT
8) MAD AS A LOON: loons aren't mad but their call sure sounds that way
9) SWAN SONG: a belief that the mute swan silent all its life gives out a single song just before it is about to die
10) WISE AS AN OWL: HOO are we to say they are not wise!

  Hi Kahlua
Well, Flock Talk comes from the WPT, and we get that one, but the one I was telling you about is a different one, so we'll forward it to you next time it comes. It's not really reliable because one person does it, and sometimes she gets backed up or is ill or something else takes precedence. Did your mom get other bird mags? The only ones we ever knew about and got were Wild Birds and Bird Talk, both discontinued now.
They called off the huge Winter Storm Warning late yesterday afternoon. The storm system veered south of us. Instead of a foot, we got about 4-5 inches. Mom is still waiting for Josh to shovel the driveway though. She just doesn't want to do it any more. We are hoping that this was the last major event of a dying winter. Mom called the center and told them she'd be there after the driveway is done.
On another note, Polly walked to the neighbor's house and back again today. She is nearly prancing, she's so happy to be on a walk again. Granted, it's not a long one, but at least she's out with Daisy and feeling like she's part of the pack again.
Mom baked some birdie bread yesterday, then made cookies. She delivered some today to Jeff, and will try to give Josh some when he comes to clear the driveway. Hope he wants some because there are a lot of them. They are white chocolate chip and walnut cookies.
I hope you are staying warm and dry today, and getting a lot of love. Hugs, Falco

  Hi, Kahlua
Took us awhile to learn all about BC. Many birds helped us. It is so good of Sugar to maintain the Calendar page so all of us can be informed. When a bird has an announcement it is easier to post it there once rather than trying to visit a lot of different pages.

Have to agree with all you said about work often being too stressful and not enough down time to relax without seeming like one is lazy. Flock and family must always come first. Of course there will be occasion days without time to read (or whatever activity one does to relax)but for the most part one should carve out a lil time each day just for themselves. Of course if a fid wants to sit nicely and join in that is always acceptable. It certainly counts as part of our need for attention. And it isn't great to be working fulltime and still struggling to make ends meet. Hopefully your mom will find a cheaper place to live and get her health concerns on track. Just have to keep positive and if she's feeling down just offer her lots of parrot therapy.

We aren't near a hillside that would have mud issues. Our creeks have been redone to help prevent floods. So, we're fine here.

Have a greyt day and we'll have our wings crossed for your mom to have things go smoothly for her in all her endeavours, wing hugs, beak kisses and a vote, Pearl and Silver.

Come visit me, Pearl & Silver.
