Hi! My name is Moki

I am an African Grey from Boise, ID.

Moki-Doke, Mokinz.

23 years old   M

African Grey

I really love cheese, watermelon, basically anything you will give to me except almonds and banana chips!

Mainly on any perch. I do hang upside-down sometimes though.

Sadly, I was abused when I was a baby so I don't like people. So my pet peeve is mainly small children.

Well, I don't like anything really. But, if you are giving me food I will be VERY gentle and kind.

I have displaced aggression problems. But, whenever a phone rings, I "answer" and carry out full-length conversations. When someone looks like theyre leaving the house, I make zipper sounds and say "bye".

  Hang in there
Trust, you can do it. My little one, a parrotlet was also neglected, which is abuse. The family kept her in a child's bedroom all day while the child was at school. This child was the care giver, but never gave the
bird any care or time. The family decided they didn't want the little bird any more, and traded her back to a bird store. They then bought a larger parrot and I would expect they are treating that bird the same way.

Hi I'm Moki. Heres the short story of my life. I was bought as a baby, hand-fed and sweet. I just wanted love and attention, but my owners put me in a basement. Whenever I tried to get someones attention, they yelled at me and threw stuff at my cage. Then, I was rescued and taken to a new home, with some elderly people. I loved it at first. I got bright sun, lots of greens and fruits, and fresh water. The older man often held me, and got me out, but my previous home had destroyed my trust with humans. I bit him several times. A younger girl would visit the house occasionally, and I began to love her. I would get on her arm and do the "love dance" as she called it. After around ten years, she took me in. I loved her and her only at first. They bought me lots of new things and spoiled me. I soon warmed up to two men. Eventually I was getting out on a daily basis again! Until they went on a trip six months ago. I only trust one person now (Not the younger girl) And I know they love me, and are doing their best to tame me, but it seems impossible.

Come visit me, Moki & Jo-Jo.
