I was out in the wilderness. Apparently the human inside had been watching me for about a month. When the weather turned cold, and it began to snow, I didn't know what to do. I got so cold. I noticed a cage appear outside, with an open door, but I was used to time with my house finch flock. It was soooo cold. Last thing I remember was falling on the ground in a snow drift. When I awoke, I was inside a warm cage, with a heated floor and a nice warm lamp. I spent much time in the little warm room with the nice lady looking after my every need. When I felt better, I started spending time with the small human. She is so much fun. She introduced me to the fish in the tank and gave me mirrors, which I love. She moved a giant fake tree into her room to make me feel at home. I am so very happy here!. Awards

Well, millet. Duh.

I love my fake Ficus tree.

Not crazy about putting on the flight suit yet. ~people, other than my small human, trying to put me in my castle. I like to be free!

My owners love me. I love them back!

I like to hang out in a fake tree and love to watch fish swim in the fish tank..

Fly and be free! Just don't land on Sarabi's cage or she'll eat your little pink feet..

  Hi Frosty
I forgot we met you last year! How about that? I'm such a dork sometimes. I love your story, though.
We have had rain for a couple of days now, but it's helping everything to grow, and it smells like a spring rain, mom says.
This morning Polly walked around the block again, and wanted to come upstairs while mom does our posts today. Mom carried her up, though, it's way too soon for her to try to climb the stairs.
Today is the big fundraising/collections day for the wildlife center. It's the annual Baby Shower for Mother Nature's babies! It's not the same as it once was. Before, they used to hold it at the center with tours through the building, and snacks and games for everyone. The volunteers would man the games and make the snacks. It was fun, but the center outgrew the event. 2 years ago the parking was totally inadequate, there were so many people that the tours became too crowded, etc. So last year they changed the event. Now the volunteers take animals into the community to several stores and donation centers. Shower guests may bring their donations to those locations and see one animal ambassador. They will receive a voucher for a free tour at the center with each donation. Last year it was a great success, they collected more money and gifts than ever before, so we're hoping the same goes this year. Mom will be in Shadyside, an upscale neighborhood, with the always classy Murphy the skunk!
So, we have to send a c/p today and hope everybirdie understands the need for it. Hope also that you are having a great day! Hugs, Falco

Come visit me, Gizmo and Divo, mom loves you both, Willie, Peppino & Falco.
