 Mum and dad always said they wanted a Sun Conure, mum met my breeder at a Bird expo and found that I had hatched 3 days prior, She drove 5 hrs to pick me up at 6 wks old. This is me at approx 9 weeks old, I learnt how to perch the day before!! What a clever birdie :o). |

 When mum says that we have had enough flight time and puts us back in our house.
 She comes home and calls through the door to me and my flock before she even steps in, she knows when I am ready for bed and lets me sleep with her under the warm blankets, I love that she never squashes me.
 crawling inside jackets and pockets, chasing the dog, sleeping flat on my belly or back, sleeping under mums blankets and disappearing to the end of the bed, trying to hang from mums ears/nose, bathing head first in the water dish..
 I may be bigger and louder, but Archie is definately stronger..

Hi Bailey,
are you getting over Easter alright? I've got a few news today! First of all, daddy went to the dentist & he could find nothing wrong, just sensitivity & he gave him a clean! Then we went to the vet & i got a clean bill of health too. She said, that quakers are in breeding season right now, that's why i'm a bit weird sometimes & scream a lot! Also, i'm molting a lot & miss a few of my flight feathers, that's why i've been flying around less of late & got mum worried! Even my poo got checked & that was good too! Here you have it! A very healthy little quaker man, indeed! Oh, yeah, by the way, she was very happy about my weight loss, i knew she would be!
Still no news about the lady & her birds!

Hi lets be birdie friends
Hi everyone, SweetPepper here. There is a campaign being run for my brother tiel Maxi for BOTW. He is 15 1/2yrs old and has never won anything in his entire birdie life. My sister Kacey and I have won contests and even had our pictures published in magazines. We would love it for Maxi to win something. He is a senior bird and one never knows how long a senior bird will live. He is in good health but so was my brother Digger and he died suddenly without warning. So if everyone could stop in to his page each and everyday and vote for him I would greatly appreciate it. Hi sweet Bailey!
Well how nice for it to become springtime again. Wow still on water rations? Does that pose a fire hazard like we have in the west coast of California now? We have a beautiful fall and some of the colored leaves are still on the trees but not for much longer. We had a holiday a week ago, Thanksgiving. Mom made a big turkey and there were 8 people around the table. We got to see all this cause our cages are nearby. Max and Romeo tried to make a baby right in the middle of her party! Guess they were getting into celebration spirit or something. Heeeheee. Nobody complained and Mom was happy they were all good and understanding friends. We are getting colder - it was high 50's today. Mom had surgery on her toe and has been in a boot but she will be out of it soon. She even gets to take a shower now! She was so happy about that we think she did the Snoopy Dance! So happy that the information on the heated perches is helpful. we really like ours especially in the middle of winter. We have no babies this year but Mom did not set up any nest boxes either.
Well time to have our dinner

Wow you are growing up!
Hello there! We are amazed at how nicely Bailey is filling in. what a handsome bird. We are also happy to share information on feather plucking. Romeo plucks under his wings at times. He is pretty high strung. Mom things she has the right mix of birds in each cage because he is now filling in feathers again. Everybody is nicely paired. We are heading into winter and it is finally getting cooler. Mom just plugged in the heated perches and Tahoe remembers them from last year and slept on one last nice all toasty warm. We have a light on for us but when the electricity goes out it does not work. Mom ordered a battery operated lamp for the next time so even if it isn't charged she can crank a handle. We are hoping she does not need it. It rained all night the evening before last so we were all lazy yesterday. Ohhhh and we got millet spray last night . Yippeee....

Hello From Buddy and Toby
How are you? You are a cute baby. I bet your sweet too. Buddy is a girl Sun(Don't let the name fool you)
Toby is a girl White Eyed Conure. Toby just laid a couple eggs and Buddy is getting ready to lay eggs too. We are cage mates and have been together for many years. Toby is 21 and Buddy is 7.
We do everything together. If Mom takes Buddy off the cage I have to go too. We have a sister named Cali(California Sunset) who is cage mates with an Orange Wing Amazon who does the same thing.
We have a large family but Mom takes care of all of us the same and loves us all the same.
Soon, Mom says we will have mates to choose from if we want them. Mom says 3 new Conures will be here next week. One for Toby, one for me and one extra one that Mom is just giving a good home to. He is a Mitred Conure. If she can find a girlfriend for him that will be ok too. Well, we better go. Hope you'll stop by and say hello.

How about Kiwi?
I had a very pretty Sun named Kiwi years ago and one named Mango. Both were beautiful. My Sun's I have now are California Sunset and Buddy. i did not name Buddy.
