  Hi from St. Patrick D'bird
Hi Friend, This is a great day. I decided to start the new year being sweet to Mommy. I was so nice she shared two bites of dry pancake with me this morning. we are trying to watch the Tournament of Roses Parade. We keep getting interupted. I flew up on top of Lonnie and Ellies cage and sat there for a while. Mommy had to get me off and put me back on the stand. She said that I was frightening Ellie(society finch) Lonnie tried to get her to come out and say HI to me but she kept hiding. I'm grooming myself right now...Maybe I forgot to comb my feathers this morning and that scared her. I don't know but here is my vote...cheech later Patrick.

Come visit me, St. Patrick D'bird loves Ruby Sue, Lonnie, Slate and Mica, Fortune & Cotton Ball "I'm Tiki's Girl".

  Hey Hahnsy!
What a neat name! Nice to meet you, I'm Gizmo. You seem like a nice bird. I like how you call your people slaves. Well, shouldn't they be? They should treat us like royalty, don't you think? I know my mom loves us, but does think we should behave, at least in front of company. She spoils us, so I guess I'll keep her. Have a great day! Hope to hear from you soon!

Come visit me, Gizmo & Chantar.

  Hi Hahnsy!
I used to pluck before my mom got me when I was a little chick. I had a big scab on my breast. But now I don't do that anymore, because my mom keeps a close watch on me and she would hug me whenever she saw me trying to pluck.

Come visit me, Poncho, Co Co & POPCORN.

  Hi Hahnsy!
My mom got worried when I started plucking last January. The vet said to take Nekton vitamins, and also I'm taking some other supplements. It could be a calcium deficiency or something. I've been wearing a downy sweater, and had my legs plucked clean, but now I'm finally growing some feathers here and there, and my legs are covered again. Feathers or not, you're still beautiful! You've got our vote! Skylar & family

  those danrned feathers!
Hi Hahnsy! Hmmmmmmmm, the feather thing. I've been chewing on my feathers. Mom took me to a special vet and the two of them decided to cure me with some kind of stuff the pharmacist came up with. I wasn't crazy about it and although it seemed to work while I took it, I started chewing again as soon as they stopped it. I'm a pretty spoiled parrot though, and cause mom didn't want to put me through any more stress, she just decided to love me like I am! I think you are unique! Here's a vote for ya', Macayo

Come visit me, Pippin & Macayo.

  Hi Hahnsy
I am a plucker too. I am getting better every day. I get Red Palm oil too, as well as Flax oil and pluck no more. I do have some new feathers coming in. I may be more bald than you are, lol. My back and my legs were completely bald when I got here a little over a month ago~~Hollie

  Hello Hahnsy
I see you like to have a bare belly and legs. I'm a hahns, 3 years old, and this winter, on only the second day of having the furnace on, I couldn't stand even the slightest little bit of dry skin, so I pulled half of my front feathers and off my legs, but I left my gray down feathers on my chest. My mommy uses Organic Red palm oil on me and she says it works great for getting the new feathers back. She learned this trick from the "man with the birds", from Pittsburgh, who has taken in over 60 abused and birds needing homes. He had a catalina macaw with a totally bare belly and part of its wings and legs and this is how it is now fully feathered again. The oil is also good, if taken internally also. But putting it on everywhere else, also tends to make the bird lick it, so it gets it internally one way or another. If your bird has a bird sack it sleeps in, then put it on the bird in the morning. The oil stays on, unlike organic aloe vera juice, which is also good, but doesn't stay on and really keep the skin moist, so the itching new feathers aren't wanting to be plucked as they come in, especially since it takes so long for them to come in in the first place. I got out for 4 days and since then I'm a little nervous about watching my surroundings all the time too. Outside life really wasn't all it was cut out to be, I'm happy to be with my mommy and the other flock, greatful really. You'll adjust, just give it time. It's so much warmer though if you at least have your downs. Here's to growing them good hahnsy!!!! I'd send you some of my feathers, but I promised mommy I wouldn't pluck them anymore!! (Lulu) and gang.

Come visit me, Corky, LuLu, ANGEL, Arie & ZIGGY.
