HAPPY HUMPDAY! mom was feeding my crickets in my cricket farm and one managed to jump out. it had only a few minutes of freedom before i spied it and pounced on it.
mom said she has never seen me move so fast. its been a long time since i have eaten a live one. boy, was it ever tasty!

Congrats to the Tiel Terrors on their win yesterday!
Our hearts are sad for all that loss of life in OK. What a terrible event.
Mom worked in the RVS room again today, the baby foxes are growing like weeds! There are still a ton of raccoons and a few ground hogs, too. Then she went to get her hair cut, and stopped to pick up some lunch. We all told her to eat fast, because both the boys have a game today, and Falco wants to watch and cheer. Tonight she's working at the museum again, a special evening event. On my page is a pic of the fountain mom got running the other day. It looks like it's terra cotta, but it's really a light plastic. Mostly our dad does okay with us. He tells mom what he's done for us. As long as he uncovers us and we get fresh water we're set as mom leaves a bit of food in our bowls at all times. He does give us a food stick now and again.
Very sad to see all the destruction that tornado caused in OK. Never realized how huge they can get.
Happy day yesterday with our team winning our opening day game. Think all our practice has paid off. Just have to keep it up as we'll be against your team in a couple more weeks.

I'm glad you saw me - I was cheering so hard I had to have ice cream for supper to soothe my throat ! heehee
It all of a sudden got very warm and muggy here - good thing mom's school finished installing a/c in all the classrooms over spring break. Do you have any idea what 26 ten year olds smell like after recess ? Ewwwwwww !

they say it is unprecedented to have to major storms hit in the same area like oklahoma. i think the other was in 1999 and it was 300 mph winds. that is some very scary storms. we felt so saddened by everyones loss. our hearts go out to them.we have already started getting scam emails trying to get money. there are always people that try and profit over others tragedies.

Great game yesterday, a real nail biter!
What a ball game yesterday! Congratulations to the Phoenix Base Flyers, you pulled off a great win, but the Rainforest Raiders have nothing to be ashamed of. With the way they're playing, they won't lose many games this year.
Mom had 3 tours today, and she says if you have to have 3, this is the way to go: she had different grade levels and different subjects for each tour. We got the fountain up and running last night, too, so it looks pretty outside now, and we'll be able to hear the water when we go outside with mom. Today it's bright and sunny so we might get out, if mom gets our blogs done in time. Yes, the parronts do need their time with friends and family. We know you fids always get your fresh food and water so a bit of time with music or the TV or just looking outside is fine. Yesterday our dad 'forgot' to uncover us for the day since mom left for work and it was still dark. She got home close to 3pm and we were still covered! Kinda annoying, but we had a fresh food stick put in the night before so we had plenty of food since our food bowl always has some seed and pellets in it. Missed our morning toast though. Today will be okay since mom leaves a lil later and will be the one to uncover us.

he Miller Flock is safe and sound ... that said.
Yesterday was a very tragic day here in Oklahoma. Mom locked down for hours on the Air Force Base while Tornado ravaged the Moore area (just south of the base). We have many friends and Co-Workers without homes now. Civilian Co-Workers will have double whammy with the loss of loved ones and a triple whammy with the upcoming furloughs to start on July 8th. So far 91 is the confirmed dead count and its expected to rise as we have not located everybody yet. Praying for everybody affected ..... hoomans and animals alike

First may I congratulate you on yesterday's win ! I was there in the stands rooting my loudest ! Then I had to leave cause the battery in dad's car died and mom had to go rescue him !
When they got home we watched the horrible news and I tried to comfort mom as the devastation and loss those poor people in OK suffered made her really sad . . .
The rain stopped ! The weather guessers had said it was going to rain all week - the sun came out in the afternoon and it's sunny so far today too ! I hope it stays through the long weekend -

The parronts had a tense afternoon and evening yesterday. A 48 year old woman on drugs decided to take a lighter and start a fire in a field near here. (She was arrested.) The fields are very dry, fire danger is high and the fire grew rapidly. We are very grateful for the rapid response from the fire crews. Helicopters made trips back and forth to dump water on the fire as well. Early evening the parronts found out they were in no danger and crews were just monitoring hot spots. Mom saw the damage today. It had actually moved away from us but toward other homes. We love where we live, but fire is always a possibility so mom keeps our travel cages nearby. Birds and dogs first, pictures if she has time, the rest isn't important!

Wow ! Mom does sound busy - and I'm glad she came home from the craft show with bags ! That's the whole point - there is a show in Syracuse the first weekend of June - it's about a 4 hour drive, but it's pretty close to the summer house so mom may try to get there. We'll see what the weather is . . .
Well, mom and Landon never did get to the farm yesterday . . . it rained ! In fact it's still raining, and supposed to continue all week :( UGH !
I did discover something else though - I'm far less work than a 14 month old ! Mom had to crawl or run all over the house to keep Landon out of trouble. I think he learned a new word - NO - by the end of his visit he'd crawl to dad's stuff (remotes, 'puter, electronics) all the while chanting "no, no, no" Silly boy !

This weekend was the morel mushroom festival and craft show. My parronts went into town to check it out. Mom didn't buy anything for herself. But, skinsis called and asked her to pick up a fork ring.
Today was sooooo nice but, that's it for at least a week.

Oh I think that is a great idea doing the shopping on Friday that way we can also make sure we have everything we need is on the list. It will give Gus and I a chance to warm up the guitars before we go camping, maybe learn a few new songs also. Yes that Merlin is a fine cook, sure glad we have him to do it because I am not that fond of cooking, I don't mind once in a while though. But he is still the best cook. And it sure is nice of your mom to help us get situated and bring all our stuff. Oh don't forget all your jewelry making stuff. Boy your mom and dad sure had a busy day with all the visiting they did. I bet your mom was pretty tired out from all of that. Here it always seems like after my mom takes the winter blankets off the bed because its been warm it goes right back to cold.Now she always waits for sometime before she does the switch.I wonder why I get the same cover year around and dont get to change up like the bedding?

Yep like your picture a lot..Mom does the same as your Mom with the winter bed cover. Because they are Queen Size which really are not the biggest they still do not fit good in the Washer & Dryer. But the Washer & Dryer are suppose to be for big loads. So I still do not understand that though...Yes the Summer Spread and Curtains are more colorful and make the room brighter. When I brought Angel and Luigi home, I wasn't allowed to take them out of my cage. In the next few days I started to bring them out myself. It was fun hanging out with them because I taught them the bobbing head signal. Basically I bob my head in front of the cage and if they bob their heads, that means they want to come out. Also when Angel and Luigi were sitting on top of their cage, they would fly from their cage to all the way to the end of the room and turn and fly back to the cage. It was a lot of fun and I would start running and joining them too. Then Angel wanted to start breeding so I studied about breeding lovebirds and got the breeding box, the lovebird baby food formula and syringes. Angel and luigi tried breeding 5 times, the first 3, they laid eggs and then broke them and one of the eggs didn't hatch. Then I was learning on the way about staying away from the box and checking once a week. The next two times I did stay away from the box, and one bird hatched out. Unfortunatly Angel didn't take care of it properly and it died. Then the next time, 2 birds hatched out and both died since Angel didn't take care of them properly again. I realized that Angel wanted to keep breeding but I couldnt provide the box anymore because I had other things to do too. So I decided to sell Angel to someone who has another boy lovebird so Angel would continue to breed. I found a woman who owned a lovebird that was plucking his feathers. Before, she had the boy and the girl lovebird that were coupled. She and her husband got them from an auction. The wifebird had fractures and damaged body. I knew that the original owner didn't have patience with the female as they do bite to defend their territory. So after she got them, the wifebird died shortly leaving the husbird alone plucking. I was glad to give Angel to a good home where she would make the husbird happy and she would be living in with another couple, Bonny and Clyde. I was happy that Angel was with Sunny.
