I hope you are having a wonderful day. I've got the gardeners here to watch. They are outside my window mowing the lawns! Pretty soon Mandy will be woofing to go out just because she likes to smell the fresh cut grass! Mom takes her for a walk everyday and Mandy has decided she likes to walk down to the Starbucks. Do you suppose it's the scones they sell? I always share my scones with her so maybe she figured she just go down there and get us some! I like the way she thinks!!
Mom already went to the market before I even got up! The store is open 24 hours a day. It's less crowded early in the mornings but mom has to put up with freight on the floor and the floor scrubber being used. Since she works nights at a store, she is use to that stuff.
She got me some pecans so I'm looking forward to my snack! I'll be having apples and pecans today! Yum!
I'll be supervising the chores later on and letting mom know how she should do stuff! We all know our parronts would be lost without us!!
You did a great job yesterday! I was cheering so loud that my voice was cracking!! I am so very proud of you!! Did you enjoy it?? I just love hanging out watching you play!

I'm glad to hear that dad is home safe and sound! I don't blame your mom for not wanting to drive that far by herself. It's better that she had a friend go with her!
Sorry the happy hut doesn't fit! I don't use anything like that. I do like it when mom makes me a little tent with the quilt on the bed tho! I run in and out and have a great time with it. Sometimes I play with a cardboard box but if I start ripping it up and trying to make a nest out of it, mom takes it away and we go play with something else. I tell ya! The woman is paranoid that I'm going to try to lay an egg!! I'm 35 years old and I haven't done it yet so I think she can just chill!
Don't worry about your game tomorrow! You are going to do great! I'll be there to cheer you on!
Mom liked Iron Man 3 also. She hasn't seen Star Trek yet because it doesn't open until Friday here. She is not a Tom Cruise fan at all so she won't be seeing Oblivion.

How is everything going? Is your dad back yet or is he still up here??? I hope it's all going great.
Nothing exciting going on here. Mom is cooking today since she went to the moives yesterday. She and the skin kids saw Iron Man 3. They liked it and now are looking forward to the next Star Trek. I didn't get to go. It seems birds are not allowed in movie theaters. That doesn't sound right to me! I would behave~~well, maybe not.
Mom made taco meat for tonight and meatloaf for tomorrow. She also made some chocolate cupcakes so Mandy and I don't get any of those. We did get cheese crackers and they were good!!
I have sunshine today and I hope you do too!!

The birthday flowers are lovely too. You are wonderful to be thinking of me even when I haven't been able to blog. Of course you understand it's not because I don't want to but because I can't get my typist to do her job. She's always studying or working or writing papers or sleeping or running the kids to activities or helping them with school. This is the last week of her first class and she has her term paper due on Friday. Guess what she'll be doing this week?
She had the nerve to forget about my hatchday, so I didn't get so much as a treat stick. She only remembered it after she checked my page today on a whim and saw all the hatchday wishes! I would be upset but being able to spend it with you made up for any neglect I suffer at her hands. I had such a lovely time with you on Alacranes Island! So quiet and peaceful, with all those stars above us so bright I felt like we could reach out and touch them!
You look so handsome in your baseball cap! When do you start playing? I do hope you win every game and hit a million home runs!
We noticed that our lilac bush is starting to bloom so I brought you a fresh bouquet. Don't they smell pretty? I also have a nice veggie frittata we can have for breakfast, and some fresh coffee!

DAY 3 -THANKS FOR THE VOTE!
MOTHER’S PAST part 2
When mother arrived to Canada, the first thing her parents did was buy a home; it was a small home they bought as her parents couldn’t afford a big one. As mother lived in her home, there were no stoves to cook. That time they couldn’t afford a stove either so they bought cooked food from Harveys and others places that were affordable. Luckily, mother had an uncle who owned a candy shop near her so she was able to get sweets too. Mother had to share rooms with her older sister, the rooms were very small, and had mattresses on the floor. Furthermore, they only had a small kitchen, small living room tied with a small dining room, even smaller bathrooms and the stair only went up short. There were only four rooms upstairs and quite small too. They lived in a small neighborhood with houses stuck together. It was crowded in the house but happy they have shelter. Then she became a student at hawthorn public school, she couldn’t speak English but mother was able to speak French so she was able to communicate with other students and her teacher. Mother worked hard at learning a new language and soon she was able to speak it when she was thirteen. Everyday mother worked hard to do well in school so she would have a bright future and help her family earn money. She kept her marks at straight A+, her mother usually got mad when it was lower, but it was out of concern. Mother had to learn everything on her own and always went to the library from the morning to do research and stayed there until closing time just like what her twin siblings and older siblings did and her older brothers had to get working jobs to make money for the family. And even at a young age mother would do all the chores and clean the kitchen while her mother did the cooking. Mom has 7 siblings in her family; her youngest sibling was born in Canada. She had to take care of him, clean his diaper and wash him. She took care for him every day. Her dad worked hard everyday to earn money so the family could get food and eat. Well, you are playing RIGHT FIELD position ... I am left field and Prissy is playing center field. We'll be evenly spaced apart and our primary responsibility as outfielders is to catch batted fly balls as well as field and return ground balls and line drives that make it through the infield. In addition, we outfields are expected to back-up the infielders during plays at base, in case a ball get by the infielder. Also, we are expected to back everybirdie up, in case a ball skips past them and we must catch and throw with speed to the correct base! WE CAN DO IT!!!!! YAY! We'll see you at practice! I hope you are enjoying the day! It's windy here and I'm watching the clouds roll by rather quickly! It's a fun way to pass the time! I'm listening to a bird outside that keeps tweeting the same thing over and over. Mom asked me if I knew what he was saying but I don't have a clue!
Mom and I played for a long time this moring. It was lots of fun and now I'm having my apple. We are still working on re-cleaning closets so we can fit the stuff from the storage room in them. Who knew there was so much stuff in that little room!!!
We hope everything went grat for dad! We were thinking about him this morning and sending good vibes his way! Vibes is one of mom's words and I really don't have any idea what it means, but mom assures me it's a good thing!

Well that just sounds crazy!! Do they make him take a driving test too or just the written one? They have a lot of questions up here too that will never happen to the normal driver. We hope it all goes well on Monday. I think you dad knows how to drive really well so that is all that should matter.
It's cooking day around here and there are tortillas out there!YUM! Mom is making chicken enchilladas but I just want a tortilla! I think she is making me some birdie bread too. She got the stuff for it yesterday so I know that I'm going to get some!!

Tonight mom made general tso's chicken so I got a bowl of rice and sugar snap peas! Very good dinner!
It was exciting around here today. The gardeners came early today since the bug busters were coming to spray for the ants. The gardeners had to get the front buildings lawns mowed before the bug busters could do their job. They did not spray but pumped the stuff down into the foundation because they say that is where the ant nests were. That turned out good because mom was worried about the fumes.
The gardeners brought a bunch of flowers to plant out in front of the complex! They put the hanging baskets all around the office building too! They are primroses this year! I love living in the front since I can watch everything that goes on over there! We don't know what the plants are yet since they have not bloomed. Mom says she'll walk Mandy out there in the morning and take a look. I can't wait for them to bloom!!

I hope your day is going great! I have to apologize for not getting around as much as I should. Things got a bit busy and unfortunately, my social time is suffering!
Who knew humans could have so much stuff that needs going thru!!!
Dad took over the storage room so now there is lots of stuff that needs to be put somewhere else or tossed. The whole process is taking much longer than we thought it would. I have suggested that we only keep my toys and anything we need to use for food and toss everything else! Nope! None of that stuff was in the storage room but I think it would be a good thing for all of us to downsize! Toys and food are the most important things so we definately need to keep that stuff! I suppose the dog, the cat and the turtles can stay too!
I'm enjoying my apple right now and enjoying the view from the window. Yes! I have sunshine! It is going to be lovely for the next few days. The way it works up here is that the weekdays are lovely and when the weekend gets here the rain will come back! It's sorta like mother nature likes to tease us!
I just love your baseball picture!! You are such a very handsome bird! I am so proud to call you my cousin! I wish your team the best of luck! I mean that! I hope we all have a really fun season!

I do hope you are having a wonderful day! I'm doing just fine. Not much going on around here today. Dad has been cleaning out the storage room to make it into a workshop so mom and I have lots of stuff to find a place for. Mom says some of it can just be sent off to goodwill but it will be interesting to see where she is going to put the rest of it! Mom says that if we haven't used it for a while, it is really time to get rid of it. You can tell that mom doesn't like clutter!
I'm going to hang out in the play cage and supervise the job! I'm very good at supervising and I like to shout out lots of suggestions too!!

You are simply the sweetest, coming by to share in my hatchday celebration. Thank you so much for the basket of almonds and cashews. Not only will I enjoy the nuts, I'll have a wonderful time dismantling the basket. But I think I'll save it awhile and let it hold my new foot toys. I like to have bowls and baskets of little things to toss about the room. Your basket is so pretty maybe I'll make it what I keep on mom's desk. I have a collection of doodads there for tossing and dropping on napping dogs. Thank you also for the big winged hug and the special beaky kisses, including the seeded one. You're just so cute!

I hope your day is going great! It's pretty quiet around here. Mom and I are watching the last Harry Potter movie! It's very exciting but very sad too!
It's still cool and rainy here. It got warm for a few days and then went back to being cold again. That is why we had the avalanches up in the mountains. They do avalanche control all the time up there but they had no warning for these avalanches. At least it's closed down now so everyone will be safe.
Mom cleaned my cage out before I even got up this morning! I think that was pretty sneaky of her!! It does look very nice and I have a new toy so I guess it's time to mess it up again! You know we like our cages just so!!
How is your mom feeling today? I hope she is much, much better! Is she able to eat anything yet? Please let her know she is in our prayers and we hope she feels better!

Nothing much going on around here. It's cool and rainy but I'm still having a good day. I've had mac n peas and some fruit and now I'm busy with toys. It's all going pretty well.

I hope you are having a wonderful day. Kinda slow news day around here. Mom is doing laundry and I am eating apples! I don't mind it being quiet as long as I get to hang out with mom.
Mom got me a bunch of new books from the library so I have been enjoying them. Mom didn't find anything to read but she didn't have a lot of time to hang out there. She'd spend hours there if she could! It's always such a peaceful place.
Mom figured out how to capture pictures from video and other pages where you don't have the save option. She was able to save my avatar in my picture file! Now she is going nuts looking for videos. I'm sure most of the world already knows how to do this but it's a big thing for mom!
How did the cookies turn out? Did you get a taste?

I hope the parronts got caught up on their sleep! That is awfully early to be flying out! We noticed that most of the international flights out of SeaTac leave very early. I guess they need to get going early since they have a ways to go!
So what is this I hear about cookies?? Do you suppose they will need our help? I'm always ready to help with food!hehehehehe You and I could be the taste testers! Sounds like a job that is just perfect for you and me!
Mom is doing the usual Saturday cooking around here. So far it's all been for the dog but with all the apples she got yesterday, I know she is going to make another apple crisp! Crispy oatmeal and gooey apples! Whats not to love! Mom went to the farmers market yesterday and got lots of apples. She got some carrots and onions too. I'll eat a bit of carrot every once in a while. Mom puts them in my mash. I prefer squash really. There isn't any type of squash that I don't like!
I hope you enjoy the day but with cookie baking going on, how could you not?

Hi ya Cuz~
I hope you had a really great day! Did you get to sit on the porch? I hope it wasn't too hot and that there was a nice breeze.
Thank you for liking my picture. I do enjoy looking out that window. There use to be a bird feeder down below but there is only a flag hanging there now.
The young man who lives downstairs is a paraplegic and his mom put the feeder there so he could lie in his bed and watch the birds. I don't know if she is going to put it back out now that it is spring but I hope she does. If she doesn't mom may ask if we could hang one down there.
Not much going on here. Mom is off tonight and tomorrow night but I don't know what plans she has. She's kinda tired so I think she wants to catch up on some sleep and get things cleaned up around here. We got the kitchen all done today but there always seems to be something else!!

I hope you are having a great day! Pretty boring around here! I'm watching Rio while mom gets some notes done for me! She is just too tired to get much done.
She did manage to make some mac n cheese with left over ham in it so I got some mac n peas!
Mom has 2 more nights to work and then we'll get our weekend. I don't know if she has any plans for us but I'm hoping for something fun to do!
Did you see that the Mariners won their first game? Everyone up here says not to get too excited since it's only one game, but I'm very proud of them!!

Stopping by to wish you, the family and the flock a very Happy Easter! I hope you all get to spend the day together and just enjoy being a family!
Mom has to work the entire weekend including tonight, so we are getting some of the stuff for dinner cooked today. Tomorrow I get to help color eggs and I just can't wait! I hate eggs but it sure is fun to color them!
Sounds like you are going to have a really fun day with guest there! I bet your pool is the popular place at your house! It's nice to know that you will be having a sun shiney kind of day! It's really been nice here with lots of fluffy clouds so I can't complain!
I hope there is lots of yummy stuff for you to snack on! I have already had some corn bread so I'm a happy girl! I even shared with Mandy. Merlin the cat doesn't seem to like corn bread! Hey! More for me! The rest of it is going to be made into stuffing so I'm glad I got my stash of it first!!

That's a lot of people to be visiting your town!! I'm glad I don't live near the beach!! I wouldn't like all those people hanging around!
Mom's store sold tons of candy yesterday. It will be even busier next Saturday. Easter is one of those "wait til the last minute" kind of holidays. There will be people in there Saturday night just before the store closes looking for jelly beans! It happens every year.
I've got a nice sunny day today and it will be near 60! Spring is finally here! Of course with it being clear it is still freezing over night.
I am so very happy that you haven't had any seizures! I hope you really have outgrown it!! That would be awesome.
I'm still molting but it seems to be just a little at a time. I'm not so grumpy this time around!!

I hope you are having a wonderful day! I got to play on mom for a few hours this morning and we had a really good time. I got worn out and went to the play cage for a snack and a little nap!
Mom had lots of plans for the day but when she drove sister to work, the car started shaking!! When she got home, dad took it to the mechanic. They say it needs a tune up! Mom didn't even know they did tune up's anymore. Maybe they just call it that and it's something completely different. They said it would be done tomorrow before mom has to go to work! She is praying it's not too expensive.
The family was suppose to go out to dinner tonight to celebrate skin brothers birthday but they have decided to wait on that. His birthday is tomorrow but since mom has to work tomorrow they decided to celebrate today. Brother is not too excited about getting older! I just love hatchdays so I don't understand that at all! I think we birds just know how to celebrate better than these humans!

Thanks for your visits and prayers! I'm a little better, but mom thinks I still have another egg in me! I've passed two broken eggs so far! Now I'm really tired, but all my friends visiting me makes me feel all warm and fuzzy!
I'm so glad you're staying in shape! When I get well, I'm going to corral all those birdies who are gaining weight like mad while I'm gone. Then we're going to have another birdy boot camp!Hehee!!!

We've had this goofy hawk that's been popping up by our tree the past few days..keeps catching me and Snowy off guard. Sure hope he dont spend the spring in that area. I never saw a Bronze Wing Pionus before...u are absolutely gorgeous! Thank u for visiting me at the KB! On Sunday 12pm-9pm EDT, we are having a spring carnival. There will be every kind of ride & game booth imaginable, followed by a dazzling fireworks display! Hope to see u there! I was wondering...where is Chuburna Puerto? I bet it's somewhere warm! Can you believe it's almost spring and some birds are still getting snow?? I guess some of our east coast friends are going to have a white Easter! I wonder if there is a song for White Easter????hehehehehehe
I have been assisting with spring cleaning around here and it has been very interesting!! Mom found 3 extra computer mice in the side table drawer and she thought that was okay since you never know when you might need an extra one! Well in the china cabinet~~yes~china cabinet, there were 3 more! Do you suppose we will ever need 6 extra computer mice??? hehehehehehe This is why I love spring cleaning so much! You never know what you are going to find!!

Stopping by to wish you a very Happy St. Patrick's day! Don't you just love holidays that have special food? I sure do. There is a lovely loaf of soda bread out there and I can't wait to get my beak in it!!!
We got another cold front moving thru today but not really that cold. The daffodils are blooming and there are buds on the trees so I know Spring is very close.
There are all those frogs too! Every night they are out there making all kinds of noise!! I guess they don't realize that I am trying to get my beauty sleep!! Dad says I better get use to it because they will probably be out there for a few months. Bummer!!!
