Peach-Faced Lovebird

Yellow delicious apples, millet, popcicle sticks to rip apart.

We put a fresh coconut basket up on the wall with a ladder running up to it. He loves to roost there and pull it apart. He also hides his treats and toys up there. He has a perch close to a lamp that he loves to sleep on and we joke that it's his "tanning bed".

Budgies entering his territory. His left wing sometimes bothers him. He plucks it beyond recovery every spring and gives the feathers to Loki, his companion.

Even though I'm not the oldest or biggest bird in the house, mom treats me as alpha bird. I tell her when to put the birds to bed and she jumps to my command!

He is a master popcicle stick to toothpick artist. It's a gift! He squeals with delight when he sees one coming his way. We bought a box of 1000 craft popcicle sticks to accomodate him last year and we're almost done with the box! He also knows when all the birds go to bed down to the exact minute and chirps to remind us when to put which bird to bed. It's uncanny!.

If a popcicle stick isn't broken, I must fix it!.
