Hello Rocky!
I stopped to visit cause Mum was shocked how much your face and expression looks like mine. So sorry you obviously fell on some stressful times. Hopefully in a solid home you will start to relax a maybe give those feathers a rest. We greys are super sensitive and Mum always watches me close for that behavior and gives me alot of preening and chewing toys along with a lot of emotional and mental stimuli. Of course your new people know that but even I have been caught once or twice over preening in just a spot or two....and once a habit....well you know...it's a hard one to break. Even if you can't, just remember, it's cause we're so darn smart and sensitive. That's what makes us such special parrots. Sending out special birdie hugs to you! Hello Rocky, my name is Ollie I was a rescue as well. How long have you been with your new owner? My little brother loves black cherry juice as well (he get really itchy when he molts and will overpreen his feathers, but he dosn't pluck.). His name is Pippin, he is a green cheek conure. Mom joined a yahoo group for birds that pluck their feathers because of Brett, my other brother (also a rescue). Have you ever tried red palm oil, it worked wonders for Brett.
